How do I reset printer from error message? -
Open the cover and close it again. Unplug power cable and re-plug it back in.
Open the cover and close it again. Unplug power cable and re-plug it back in.
its called usb cable and you can find it anywhere. like at walmart, target, walgreens, and maybe even your local grocery store. ?
it should be a standard USB cable. some companies sell it for $20 but you should not pay more than $4 including shipping. if you can t find it locally or on ebay, try http://ccs-digital.com where I know they have it for $4 including shipping. If you have an epson printer, they also have cheap ink cartridges which work well.
Your manual should tell you, but usually it s a usb cable. It will have a usb port on one end and kind of a square port on the other. Choose an appropriate length, depending where your printer is in relation to your computer.
Thier basically called USB printer cables. One end has a typical USB head and the other is a USB b which is square. http://universitypccare.com/catalog/imag…
just tell your retailer what type of printer you have they should have a computer to check what type of cable you need
Most new printers use USB 2.0 cables. Read your manual or check out What Does That Look Like for more info: http://www.whatdoesthatlooklike.com/usb-cables.shtml
It s under quot;Print Settingsquot; in the print dialog box. Next to Color, select quot;Blackquot; from the pul-down. These options are provided by the printer driver, so that option may not be available with your setup.
Try the Advanced button gt; Printer Features gt; Output Mode. I don t know if it ll work though.
Go to Start gt; My Computer and double-click scanner icon. That ought to start the scanner wizard and you ll be scanning away in seconds!

Is it a print server or is it a wireless capable printer? If it is a print server, that is more difficult than just connecting. If it is a wireless capable printer, you should just run the CD that came with your printer. Then you need to plug the security key settings into your computer so nobody else can wirelessly weasel their way into it, LOL.
yes there are pricing websites just google for any printing service and i really get what you mean i use to print everything for everyone. don t be shy about the price because once you start charging not enough they will come out of the woodwork thinking you print for almost nothing
Go to add/remove and remove all that pertains to your printer Uninstall using the HP Level 4 scrubber printer uninstall When done, reinstall the software
It may be a driver conflict. Try the following site and see if it helps. http://www.pcdriverupdate.com/driversear…
*Your printer is a USB 2.0 printer. Making that print wirelessly would be like making your electric oven run on gas. Sure you can do it, but you don t just flip a switch and it magically happens. It s going to take hardware.
First you need to ensure the printer has wireless capabilities. If you can find a wireless adapter for the printer, then it shouldn t be a problem. If it s NOT wireless capable, it s much cheaper to buy a printer that is.
usb to ethernet print server - connect it to the usb slot of the printer and by ethernet cable to the router - the printer will then be available on the network usb to wireless print servers are also available
U have to install externalhardware to printer
The Epson CX6000 printers take the 69 series of cartridges. Once the printer registers these as empty, there is a fuse in the chip that is burn out. Only way to get around it is to replace the cartridge. Sorry.
For anyone happening upon this page: The best way to get around this and all the other problems is to never buy Epson again. They might have been decent in the past but now their printers (and customer service) is rubbish. Avoid at all costs Report Abuse
As a design feature epson printers leave a 20% residual ink in their cartridges. This is to protect the print head which is integrated into the printer. Although when you shake the cartridges you can still hear ink, there is no quot;usable ink left in the cartirdge. Unfortunately there is no way around this short of replacing the effected cartridge(s)
Remove the cartridge (black or color) that is low on ink and put it back in. It might think you installed a new one. Typically printers count the number of pages printed and not the ink level to determine if the ink is low.
You can find your own refill kits, which I have had no luck with, or you can take it to a popular drug store which is now refilling your black and white and color cartridges. They will also check it for leaks. Walgreens is who I use, and it is much less expensive.
Go to Internet and check the method how to refill.
how to refill a cartridge depends highly upon what type of printer you have.
i take mine to my local Walgreens and they do it right then while i wait..usually my black ink ones cost around 12 dollars and the color around 18...call your local store or look on www.walgreens.com to make sure that yours offers the service because some do not but it s for sure the quickest and cheapest way to get it done.
The link below might be of some help.
If you are printing stuff from the internet (web pages, email, etc.) One of the reasons for that is it is related to the size of the monitor and it s viewing setup (the higher the screen resolution, the smaller the print will be when printing it out.) One of the easiest ways you can make the print larger when printing internet stuff is by changing the print view size on Internet Explorer to a larger size. Go to the menu bar at the top, click on quot;View, quot; then quot;Text Sizequot; then select a size like quot;Largerquot; or quot;Largestquot; (something higher than what you re currently set to.) Now when you print your print will come out bigger too. Then you can change it back for viewing. The only other method is to copy amp; paste the text into a text editing software like Word and adjust the text size there. Best of luck.
I would personally download firefox as if your using mozilla firefox then you simply goto print preview in the file menu and alter the scale... If you are on ie6 / 7 then its not so easy.
copy and paste it into a word document then change the font as much as you please.
If you re on a mac use (Apple) and ( +)
Well the best would be a color laser. But you could go with just a Black laser. For resumes its not so much the printer that matters, it tends to be the paper... Use high quality resume paper. You can get black laser printers for about $100... Color lasers start at around $250-300
any type of laserjet but if your going to do lots of printing check price of ink before you buy a printer. Lexmarks ink isn t cheap check something made by canon.
I used Bob, down at Digital Reprographics. I don t think you could buy him, though ... perhaps a rental could be arranged.
If you are going to be printing any significant quantity, a laser printer is far cheaper to operate. I have an HP LaserJet 6MP which I have used for almost ten years. It costs about $100 for a toner cartridge, but I can get about 5,000 sheets from that. The same amount of inkjet cartridges costs more than my laser printer did!
A good name brand Laser jet!! ;-)=
any of them if you word it right...........
A laser printer. You may also consider sending your resumes in *.pdf or word format and let the recipient worry about printing it out (if they need to). Most offices are looking for ways to automate processes and cut down on paperwork and the associated expenses. Sending your resume electronically will aid in this endeavor, providing the recipient is amenable to it.
In a word, can you be more specific as to: Word Processor used Make and model of printer This is information that we would have to know, to give you an answer!
Get a Software application that comes pre set up. thats probably the less stressful way
Your printer should have come with with some software that has an envelope option
The typical way to share a printer between multiple computers on a small wireless network is to connect the printer to one of the computers, and then enable it to be shared across the network. The major problem with this method, however, is that the host computer for the printer must be turned on and configured correctly for other computers to be able to print. Even when this is the case, however, glitches tend to happen in the network or the host computer’s operating system that make wireless network printing unreliable at best. Fortunately, there is a better way to share a printer, by using a device known as a wireless print server. This device can make nearly any USB printer wireless and reliably available to the network. Instructions :- 1. Obtain a wireless print server that is compatible with both your wireless network and your printer. While the printer’s documentation may not explicitly say that it is compatible with a print sever, many are compatible, and this can be verified by checking the website of the print server’s manufacturer. If you have a multifunction printer, only the print function will work with most wireless print servers, though a few have recently added support for scanning and the printer’s other functions. 2. Read all of the documentation that came with the wireless print server. The manual will detail the specifics of the installation routine. 3. Connect the printer to the wireless print server via the USB cable. Connect the print server’s AC adapter and turn the unit on. 4. Connect an Ethernet cable between the wireless print server and your computer. This will be used for the initial setup only. 5. Insert the CD supplied with the print server into your CD-Rom drive. Start the software if it does not start automatically. The application will walk you through the installation process, which includes setting the unit’s IP address, setting an access password, configuring it to connect to the wireless network, installing the drivers that allow the print server to use the printer and installing the print drivers on your computers. 6. Choose how your print server will be addressed. Most units are set up to use dynamic addressing by default, which means that your wireless router will assign an IP address to it. This allows the server to be easily installed on the network, but it also means that the IP address of the printer may change over time. The other option is to assign a static IP address to your print server. This option is more reliable, because the print server will always use the same IP address, making it easier for the computers to find the printer and easier to access the print server’s online configuration application. If your router has the IP address of 192.168.0.1, for instance, set the print server to something like 192.168.0.2 or 192.168.0.3, as long as another device does not use that address. 7. Set a password to be used to access the unit’s online configuration application. 8. Configure the print server to access your wireless network. Give it the same SSID network name as your router and set it to use the same wireless channel. If encryption is used on the router, enable encryption on the print server, and enter the encryption key or password. 9. Follow the instructions given by the print server’s software for installing printer drivers on the unit. 10. Disconnect the Ethernet cable and allow the unit to connect via the wireless network. 11. Install the printing drivers on each computer that will use the printer. 12. Access the print server’s online configuration application to verify all settings by entering the IP address of the unit into a web browser, using the “http://192.168.0.2” format. Enter the administrator name and password.
Try puasing it first the deleting it, if that still does work, do what you been doing and hit delete it and reoobt but this time unplug your printer instead of turning it off, the printer has memory too, this will wipe it. When the PC reboots, make sure the job is gone, once you seen it is gone plug the printer back in. I know these steps sucks, its rare but these things will happen time to time. (Usually for me when I cancle the print job from the printer and not the PC first)
I have notice this problem a lot before and have no official answer but I can say that if you cancel it quickly enough, it should delete straight away. Is this a laser or ink jet? Lasers often have this issue, I don t get think on ink yet but have done on laser.
well you can t like rewind in time and stop it but once you start printing and where it says like the % of how long it is done, you can click cancel printing and it will kust stop from where it was
start menu gt; control panel gt; printers gt; open the printer the list of print jobs should be there right click on them and cancel them
Right click on the printer icon (far right bottom corner on your computer) and click on quot;cancel the printing jobsquot; or similar groupings
Right click on My Computer and choose Properties Hardware Device Manager click the + Universal Serial Bus Controller double click the Root Hub Power Management Uncheck quot;Allow the Computer to turn this device off to save powerquot; If that doesn t do it delete the Root Hub and reboot A new root hub will be made
Depends on the printer. you can get a quot;wirelewss print serverquot; that will allow you to quot;networkquot; the printer so the wireles router talks to the server than prints, BUT some inkjets, particularly Epson do not work properly on these. You can also, for about the same price as a print server buy a enw printer that has wireless connectivity built iin, so that s probably the easier option.
go to http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downlo… ,select your operating system ,click download your driver .go out cable for your printer , run this driver . connect cable for your printer . now your pc recognize your printer and ready to use. ctrl+P -print test page. good luck !
http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downlo… Can t provide direct link but where it says model number just put in z515 and it ll give you the driver you need.
http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downlo… Type in z515 under search by model.
Go to http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:0:0:0 and in search put z515.
download it straight from lexmark website
If a printer has not been used for a long period of time, the many tiny holes that make up a modern inkjet printer s head may become clogged with dried ink. Clogged printer heads greatly affect the quality of the printing job and can eventually lead to damage to the printer. It is very important to clean out printer heads when they are clogged. Printer Self-Cleaning Most inkjet printers have some sort of automatic utility program by which you can instruct the printer to go through a self-cleaning cycle. A number of these cleanings, in succession, will usually take care of a clogged printer head. However because the cleaning cycle needs to be repeated multiple times, a significant amount of ink can be consumed during this process - as much as 10-25% of the cartridge s ink. If the self-cleaning cycle does not solve the problem, try turning the printer off overnight to allow the ink to soften. Turn the printer on the next day and try printing a test pattern to see whether the problem has either disappeared or become less noticeable. This ink-saving procedure can work effectively because sometimes the dried ink on the print head needs time to soften before the printer head can be cleaned completely. Try running the self-cleaning utility again one or more times. Steps for Manually Cleaning the Printer Head If the overnight cleaning still does not work, there may be a layer of thick ink that is blocking the holes of the printer s head. The next option is to manually clean the printer head. Follow these steps: * Determine from the owner s manual where the print head is located. * Remove the cartridge from your printer and then dip a cotton swab in hot water or isopropyl alcohol and rub it against the print head. This should loosen any crusted ink. NOTE: Be careful, especially if you use isopropyl alcohol to clean your print heads: Some printers use rubber gaskets, and if you get isopropyl alcohol on the gaskets it could dry them out. * For models where the print head is in the printer, drop 7 to 10 drops of isopropyl alcohol (91% denatured isopropyl alcohol - not rubbing alcohol) down the ink receptacle area where the ink actually flows from the cartridge into the head. Run a few self-cleaning utilities. If possible, allow the printer to sit a few hours or overnight and repeat the self-cleaning utility. * If the print head is in the cartridge, soak the cartridge print head in hot water. Allow it to soak overnight. Dry the print head area with a paper towel. Repeat the self-cleaning utility. * If the hot water soak did not unclog the print head, place the cartridge printer head in isopropyl alcohol and allow it to soak overnight. Use a damp paper towel to wipe off the print head area and dry carefully. Try the self-cleaning utility again. * If the alcohol soak did not unclog the print head in the cartridge you may need to purchase a new cartridge. This will provide new print heads that won t be clogged. Contact a service technician for repair of print heads in the printer if the alcohol did not unclog the printer head.
You need to purchase a cleaning cartridge. Epson have a permanent print head and if the ink dries in the nozzle or heads it needs to be cleaned out! Really it should be done before storying and then left with the cleaning cartridge in place to stop the heads drying. Chances are after 5 years the damage is permanent. It is probably better, cheaper and easier to replace the printer with the cheapest Epson printer in the stores and it will still be faster, quieter and more reliable than the CX5200 than the cost to get a cleaning cartridge for the color and one for the black and then try and clean the printer heads on it.
Try setting the font size up on your browser. In IE go to view and go to text size, then increase the size. The size on the screen is bigger that it prints
Only if you like to print in blue. Edit: A thumbs down for this answer? Whatever.
the cyan, magenta, and yellow (and black and white) inks all mix together to create every other color. If you are missing one, certain colors wont come out...so yes, it is important
do you print a lot of pics with blue skies and seas ? :o)
that depends on the quality of ink you buy...check refill kit prices on amazon Its always best to get the manufacturers ink, but if your not worried about quality too much refill kits save a ton of cash
I wouldnt bother trying to refill ink cartridges, i tried it and its messy and often doesnt work. Try Printpal.com for inexpensive ink cartridges
usally half price or less, but if the cartridge damages the printer you warrenty will be voided
it is usually significantly cheaper to refill. however, the ink lasts at best half as long as a new one, and the quality is much poorer. your best bet would be to order a new one.
2 dollars.
you can buy ink for it but if its the one with the hard plastic you will need to take a drill and drill a small hole and then cap it.
I will not recommend using re-fill cartridges. By a new one.
Actually, I have an HP printer as well. When you open up the printer to view the inks, the cartridges have numbers on them. Mine are 57 amp; 56. You can buy a refilling cartridge off the internet for very cheap, and actually refill them yourself. The package comes with a needle to inject the liquid, and bottle(s) of ink. It s very simple to do if you follow the directions, and once you ve done it the first time you get the hang of it. Saves lots of money! Good luck.
Inkjets generally are not cheap to run. For low running costs you want a laser. However colour lasers are comparatively expensive and cannot match the quality of even a mid-range colour inkjet for photos (although they beat inkjets for text and line art). For this reason if you have the space for them I recommend two printers - a cheap to run black and white laser for text, everyday and bulk printing, and a colour inkjet that is more expensive to run when you really need it. Alternatively, HP s Business Inkjets (not to be confused with their Officejets) give good all-round print quality, and are cheap to run by inkjet standards, but the initial purchase price is quite high.
most printer cartridges can be injected with cheaper ink. I do it with mine. You can buy ink packs, and a syringe type device, and literally inject new ink into the cartridges. that way, you can choose how expensive ot cheep the ink is, while still useing a compatible cartage. and you don t pay for the cartridges each time either.
Get one of these and you will have Cheap Ink. Printers are designed to use lots of ink.
Kodak printers! $10 for black and $15 for tricolor cartridges.
Kodak all in one printer. Go to Kodak website and look at their printers.
apparently kodak, don t you pay attention to advertising?
go to the manufacturer website click on drivers and search for your printer and download and then install the drivers for your printer.
You should have downloaded the drivers to your desktop, not your documents. delete them from your documents, then download them again to your desktop and install them from there.
give re=installing the printer driver a go. resolves manyproblems.
yeah, it happens to me too, maybe its bc your computer and or printer has been on for a long time, without you turning it off, so rebooting helps it organize and the message will go to the printer quicker mine sometimes doesnt print unless both my computers(right next to each other) are on... they arent connect with cords at all,,,, talk about spooky!!!
Go to start --gt; Run and type quot;msconfigquot;. Click on the startup tab and uncheck the program you don t want to run at startup. I m guessing that would be WinUploader.
many of good phot printer in the market. check online HP store for more information
Canon photo printer works pretty well for me...They sells the mini version too!
Epsom Photo sylus printers and very good. Most have seperate ink cartridges for each colour, e.g. cyan, yellow etc.
I had an Epson and it was fab, but I had to reluctantly give it away I did loads off photos on mine and they were great. The other thing is the cartridges are dead cheap too. I used to get a set of 6 for £30 from Merseyinks. My new printer is a Lexmark and im sorry I bought it now for a couple of reasons. Defo when I need a new printer it will be an Epson there cool.
HP PhotoSmart Pro B9180 - printer - color - ink-jet
Epson printer hold the market on best quality photo printers.. They are mostly of comparable quality until you get into the pro series. Just think of what features are most important to you and select accordingly. The R340 has some very cool features.
I wish I hadn t bothered and don t intend to replace mine. I now burn my images to cd and take them to the photo shop, I get prints back on kodak paper; much better quality for much less money.
I have always used Epson. Currently have R1800 A3 printer which is quite bulky. They do an A4 version, which like mine uses eight separate cartridges. Cheaper to run. Great quality pictures. You can get quality compatable cartridges from MX2 and their own brand glossy paper is as good as any for the price.
Samsung 2020
That would be highly dependent on the amount you want to shell out.
buy the same brand photo printer, as they allways work trouble free.
If the computer is a Vista one, then it might be an compatibly issue going on.
If both systems have the same OS, then you could try to load the printer driver from your older system into the newer system. Also you could go open up the printer options and see if there is a color corection feature built into the driver utility. If there is, then simply adjust the default RGB levels to how you like them. You should try this before changing printer drivers to an older driver. (above tip)
Yes but it also depends on the quality of the printer pertaining to the dots per inch. As long as you have higher quality paper it is possible that it will look better than on standard paper. After printing be sure to let the page sit afterward for about 5 minutes before taking it.
first it depends on how good your printer is. second, you must set the right settings before printing like choosing photo paper...
I think its possible although the quality would be better with a photo cartridge
To scan an image with Vista...Go to Start...All Programs....Windows photo Gallery....select the File Tab and select Import from Camera or Scanner. Cheers
put it back in the writing up facing you with the begining of text going into the printer but dnt leave in other paper in there because if u dnt do it quick enough it will start prininting on another page some printers are different so put a dot on the page and see which way it comes out then you ll now what way to put it bak in Hope i helped :D
I m not completely sure if this answer your question, but this is how I make something double sided: If it s 2 pages, print out JUST the first page. Once it s printed out, put the paper back in the paper holder majogger so that the next time it prints something, it ll be on that paper. Make sure it s on the right side, too, like, if the printer flips the paper or whatever, idk. Then, after it s in, print JUST the SECOND page. Then it ll come out double sided! Hope i helped!
It really depends on the type of printer you have. Some printers have a double-sided printer option, where it prints all of the pages on one side and you put it back in and it does the other side. Other printers automatically does everything. If you don t have a printer that does that, you can test manually by trial and error. Just put a paper in and try to guess which direction it comes out.
You can either use a double sided printer, or print one side and then put it back into the paper tray and print on it again. In order to do this, print a test page with an X in the bottom right corner and after it prints turn the paper upside down with the X in the bottom left.
you put one page in the printer. than when it prints out, put the blank side down. it may have to take a try or two to see if it will become upside down or not. because I can t fully remember how it works. and also you may have a different printer than me. OH!. and if you printer takes the paper from the top. the blank side may have to be up. again. it will take a couple of tries.
you print the first page then take that page and turn it so it looks like you are reading it with the printing on top where you can see it then print the second page that will put it the right way on the page
I print the first page... then I flip the page in the printer so when you print again, It will be on the opposite side of the page.
mark an arrow on a test sheet to see which way your printer prints and then print one side and flip it over and print the other side
you print the first side than grab the paper and flip it over and put it back in the printer
if youR printer supports duplexing, on the printer properties, enable duplexing.
In print options click the double side option okay?
print 1 page turn it over put it back in the printer and print ;) plz rate me the best ;)because U ROCK!
put the page back in the right way.
it depends on your printer, but for mine, you put it back in text up with the top of the page facing into the printer
You could try using a printing shop and give them the file you want printed.
Sorry there are not any available for them.
If you want to print wirelessly, you will need to have a wireless access point. In order to have a wireless access point you need to have a CAble/DSL modem (Comcast or QWest Internet). To the modem you will have to hook up a wireless router (this will be your wireless Access point). To your wireless access point you will need to hook up a wireless print server. The printer will be connected to the wireless access point via USB (so I guess this is what you are calling a USB adapter). Now you can print wirelessly. For a example of how this works, go to http://www.knowareuniversity.com/library…
http://www.google.com/search?hl=enamp;clien…
In your printer settings for page size, select quot;Customquot; and set the length yourself.
If you re using Mozilla Firefox as your browser, click on View (top of the screen) and select Toolbars gt; Customise. You then need to drag the printer icon onto your toolbar. If you re using Internet Explorer as your browser, right-click on your toolbar and select Customize Command Bar gt; Add or Remove Commands. Select the printer icon in the left hand pane of the dialog box that appears, then click on the Add -gt; button between the two panes. You can then close the dialog box. (There s a button that says Close at the top right of this dialog box.)
You could use motepad or wordpad in accessories! When your done, click the file button and print!
Grab a copy of Open Office: http://www.openoffice.org/ and use the Writer to compose your letter. If you re using Mac OS X, then use the in-built Apple Write software. One written select quot;Printquot; to print to your attached printer. Insert the paper into an envelope and attach a stamp. Seal the envelope and place in a post box.
On your work computer, the admin priviledges and other settings may be determined by your I.T. team or the system administrators. So even simple things like your wallpaper may be set each time you reboot your system. Printers may also be set to default to certain options. You may not be able to solve this unless your system admins configure it to allow you guys to set it.
Some application you re using to send a file to a non-default printer might then be assigning it as your default. Can you detect a pattern to the mis-assignments, say, by printer or by cause-and-effect?
Go to Start gt; Printers and Faxes gt; RIGHT Click the Printer to set Default gt; Click Set as Default Printer
well i would recommend getting the microsoft office 2007 suite (whichever edition you like..) and then going to ms word...there you can design templates or make a document based on templates...its bound to help you. :)
It would be helpful if you noted what brand and model printer you re using and what program you re printing from... BUT, generally, try going into your printer properties (startgt; control panelgt; printers and other hardwaregt;select that printergt;PROPERTIES) and check each tab (if there are more than one) looking specifically to see if there is a check mark or the radio button is selected on an option that says something like fit to one page , or fit to page , etc. An even quicker fix would be to see if you have an option in the properties to reset all settings to default-- which would return any changes made to where they were when you first used the printer. Good Luck! MaggieB
Excellent response Report Abuse
yahoo it worked I was able to change settings to default and now the printing is back to a size i can read without eye strain.Thank U Maggie Report Abuse
Take a look at these sites for help. http://inkjetcartridges.hazaa.tv/ http://inkjetinkcartridge.net/
The important thing is to put a piece of sellotape over the nozzle - like the tape that you have to emove, when you instal a cartridge. It would also be good to use a padded package (a Jiffy bag), to prevent any damage, and consequent leaking.
Wrap it up in lots and lots of clingfilm!
Inkjet Printer - Inkjet printers are a type of printer that works by spraying ionized ink at a sheet of paper. Magnetized plates in the ink s path direct the ink onto the paper in the desired shapes. A Laser printer uses a light beam to transfer images to paper. Laser printers print a full page at a time. A laser is used to ‘paint’ the dots of light onto a photographic drum or belt. The toner is applied to the drum or belt and then transferred onto the paper. Laser is faster and very good quality
difference-- ink jet printer use the ink cartridge(ink spreading the paper) laser jet-- laser jet also using cartridge but laser cartridge spraying ink on the paper..better quality is ink jet printer but high working cost(cartridge price) laser printer is low working cost.... read care fully( my english is not good please forgive me sir) decision up to u
laser is better quality, more expensive but a cartrage will last longer.
the problem is there s sd memory and then there s sd memory. let me explain: even though the sd is in the same physical format, not all card readers will read a particular manufacturers sd card. this is especially true of 3rd party sd card makers. does the printer have a usb port? if so you can purchase a card reader at target or walmart. it s a small device that has 4-6 slots for the various memory card types. make sure you read the package to see if your particular sd card manufacturer is supported. it seems rediculous but look for a card reader that says like quot;56 in 1quot; or some high number like that. there s really only about 6 different types of physical memory card formats but there s probably hundreds of manufacturers. that s what that 56 in 1 refers to. btw you can purchse one of these card readers for less than $20.
My only answer for this one is, can the printer use SD cards? Because it could be that the printer uses other types of cards but not the SD card. See if the manual states that it can use the SD card.
The printers you see at work and library are on the network through what s known as a quot;print serverquot;. Your print jobs goes to a quot;virtual portquot; on the network, which is then sent to the printer server, then the print server feeds it to the printer. Print servers are available in any store selling network equipment, and can even be wireless (to be on Wifi networks).
Do you have a wireless printer? If your printer isn t wireless then it has to at least be connected to a router via network cable. If it doesn t have a network cable connection then you can t hook it directly to your home network (wired or wireless) unless you have it connected directly to another computer that is connected to the network.
For taking print outs the printer need to be attached to the computer. Either directly by parallel port or USB port or indirectly through network. I think in your place its connected through network. And configuring printer in a network may not be simple. Normally it s not done through setup wizard. Also before suggesting I need to know exactly what printer you have, which port you are using, what s the OS, is there any separate NOS or not and so on. Please get some professional help.
Try to use your cell phone, make sure it have navigator.
it needs to be on a network

Go to the HP web site. Look for the downloads area. Choose the printer/scanner that you have and download it.
Hello in your control Panel Printer and other hardware printer and faxes do you see a check by your printer if not make a Right click on it and set as Default printer. Gemini PS. you much let your laptop update go to System in your Control Panel and check the box Automatic Updates
Have you attempted e-how for a reply to this? They are really hot on this kind of thing over there.
I think I would attempt a google search for a few answers to this.
If you have an HP printer using a wired or wireless network and have Vista (which you do), you may be having the problem talked about here: http://www.bluedoglimited.com/Lists/Anno… One of the services is supposed to discover and add/remove printers that it finds on the local network. This sounds like a good idea because if you had the laptop at home, it would locate printers on your home network. Then when you take it to work, it would locate printers your work network. In reality, that service is misbehaving: It removes the printer(s), but then never adds any back. In my case, it was happening because my printer sometimes goes quot;spasticquot; and all the lights start flashing. I have to unplug the printer and plug it back in to clear the problem. During that time, Vista would remove it. After two or three complete re-installs of the drivers, I found the posting above, which fixed the problem for me. That said, I would run HP Software Update (which should have been installed along with the drivers) and get all the latest patches. There was a recent update (within the last month) that seems to address this issue. Since installing that, I haven t had to turn off the service as described in the article above on the latest system I put Vista on. I think it s fixed, but thought I d point out the old quot;fixquot; just in case that turns out not to be true.
Did you check whether the printer is set as default, then check the option which says use printer online, if nothing work, do a power drain for LT amp; as well as printer. That works most of the time.
Have you tried ehow for an answer to this? They are pretty smart on this topic over there.
Hi If you want performance and cheap cost per page than, get a HP. They are the most reliable and cost efficient. Also, they are beautiful to network and you can have it running in 20 minute. Get the Laserjet model J4680 or the J 6480. Both have wireless capability which is nice since you won t have wires all over the floor if you decide to network the printer to a few computers. Here is a good link for you http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shoppi…
your computer should have usb ports. you can use one of them to run the second printer. if you are using all of the ports already than get a small hub and that will give you more ports. I bought one at wall-mart for around $12.00 it should install itself after connecting. and you will be ready to go.
You can purchase a parallel to usb adapter cable and plug it into your computer via USB. I ve done that before and that should work.
There are printer switches that you can buy just for that
I have the same printer and it drove me nuts too. If you look inside where the paper ejects with the lights off and the printer turned off, you will see a red light in there on all the time. What I did is plug it into a power strip and when I am not going to be printing I turn the switch on the power strip off.
I e-mailed Lexmark and they said they would contact me in one business day, but they just e-mailed saying they re working on it. Your solution is not what I m looking for, but it s an idea. Report Abuse
Does it print color on the Printer Test page? Is it all colors? When you cleaned the cartridge did all the colors come out? Are you printing from a memory card or from the computer? Have you made sure the printer isn t set to print Bamp;W Only?
brand new printers are bluetooth and also usb, but you cannot make an older printer not what it is not, UNLESS a firmware upgrade is offered and or an attachment item like an adapter can be installed via cable change like usb to bluetooth OR adapter to a dongle.
thank you dlhare 46 Report Abuse
You can t make them bluetooth compatible. They have to be out of the box. If you bought a new printer that says it is, then it is.. If you have an old wired printer you can t make it bluetooth compatible.
Wireless printers exist, as do even bluetooth printers, but it s quite difficult to make an existing printer suddenly become bluetooth enabled.
Maybe he said right. But if I were you, I will ask the manufacturer http://www.toboc.com/forum3/DEFAULT.ASPX… http://www.toboc.com/forum3/default.aspx…
Lets say you have the 2 printers named; prt1 and prt2. Assume that prt1 is the default printer. Following is the Macro code. Paste it in a separate module in the VBA Editor (Alt + F11) and save it. Make sure that you type the actual names of the printers and not prt1 and prt2 Sub PrintToAnotherPrinter() Dim STDprinter As String STDprinter = Application.ActivePrinter Application.ActivePrinter = quot;prt2quot; change printer ActiveSheet.PrintOut prints the active sheet Application.ActivePrinter = STDprinter change back to standard printer prn1 End Sub run the macro when you want to print from non-default printer. STDprinter is a variable that stores the current default printer or quot;prt1quot;. The printer is changed (prt2), prints are taken and when the prints are finished the macros again sets the active printer as the previous (prt1) printer as default. All you need to do is decide which printer is default printer and which file will be printed on default printer. This should take care of your problem!
The cheapest possible way... this would mean getting bottom line materials and components. In the long run it would mean that customer desatisfaction would leave you without business in no time. You do not need a laptop but you do need a computer to do the printing, for this task it would make no difference if it was a large tower or mini-tower, PC or Mac. You would just need a photo editing program that runs on your system. A good color printer for this purpose would be any of the HP photo printers or Kodak dedicated photo printers. I prefer the HP for their versatility. For suppliers of your components check: http://www.kellysearch.com/qr-product-52… or go into Yahoo or Google and search for [ custom keyring supplies ]
If your printer prints then that is all that matters. Now, does your printer have a flatbed scanner or do you have a digital camera? If so, you re in luck -- simply scan or take a pic of your filled out and signed application and you can email it to them for free and with a lot higher quality than out-dated faxing. I d highly recommend checking out the 2 links below: http://www.ehow.com/how_4543504_entirely… https://www.wiredfax.com/ Good Luck! Thanks, GladToHelp
There is an easy way to find out if your printer is an all-in-one. It will usually tell you on the label. Or just try to find a phone plug in the back of it. If it has one, then it has a fax built-in it.
Well, your printer is just a printer, and sometimes a scaner. To fax you need a modem and a software to manage it.

You have to use a USB splitter or get a new printer. The printer must be a wireless though. Its easy to use because im not into electronics and it took me 10 minutes to set up. I reccomend getting the wireless printer.
USB splitter or a wireless adapter hooked to the printer which will enable it to be connected to two computers You ll also need to have a wifi connection inside your house and there s also a program out there call quot;home network setupquot; or something google it

you may save money by using refilled cartridges but you sure won t be nice to your printer. the refilled cartridges are watered down and do considerable harm to your printer buy new
If you give me an exact model number, I could provide a better download link, but otherwise, http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/supp… Just get them from the website
Go to the printer manufacturer website and download the driver for your specific model. CD s are useless anyway as long as you have an internet connection. The driver CD is usually out of date by the time you get the product. Some CD s do however, have programs on them. Again though, usually the manufacturer website has an updated version. Also check for a firmware update. Firmware updates the product. It is not the same as a driver.
Go to the maufacturer s site, suchas HP, Epson, etc. Look for drivers and download the drivers for your system according to the directions. Or if you are running windows, just plug in your printer and let Microsoft find an appropriate driver.
Simply go to the manufacturer s website (i.e. HP, IBM, etc) and download the drivers. They re probably more up-to-date than the installation CD anyway.
there are many brands that are about the same, look for canon or epson, they both offer some form of chrome inks that will have more longevity and better color. If you plan on printing any black and white make sure the model you get has at least one gray ink, you just can t get black and white without it. As for getting the most out of your printer you need to get a custom printer profile, check out http://www.cathysprofiles.com/
Professional photographers that I know, use Canon... But getting lots of small prints at home is expensive. It is cheaper to upload to http://www.kodakgallery.com and buy 4 X 6 printer there. (one or two at home is fine) Good luck and Happy Computing!
I prefer to use printers which use ............quot;HP VIVERAquot; ink system............ Its the best I Know...........
as a printer tech, i love the quality of epson printers. they maybe a little more expensive but the outcome is the best by far. most graphic designers i know use them. i recommend the r2400 if price is no matter or the 2200 if your looking based on price
