What new basic printer uses the most economical ink? -

I am looking for a basic color and black ink printer, that will work with Windows Vista and uses economical ink. Which one uses the most economical ink?

Inkjets generally are not cheap to run. For low running costs you want a laser. However colour lasers are comparatively expensive and cannot match the quality of even a mid-range colour inkjet for photos (although they beat inkjets for text and line art). For this reason if you have the space for them I recommend two printers - a cheap to run black and white laser for text, everyday and bulk printing, and a colour inkjet that is more expensive to run when you really need it. Alternatively, HP s Business Inkjets (not to be confused with their Officejets) give good all-round print quality, and are cheap to run by inkjet standards, but the initial purchase price is quite high.

most printer cartridges can be injected with cheaper ink. I do it with mine. You can buy ink packs, and a syringe type device, and literally inject new ink into the cartridges. that way, you can choose how expensive ot cheep the ink is, while still useing a compatible cartage. and you don t pay for the cartridges each time either.

Get one of these and you will have Cheap Ink. Printers are designed to use lots of ink.

Kodak printers! $10 for black and $15 for tricolor cartridges.

Kodak all in one printer. Go to Kodak website and look at their printers.

apparently kodak, don t you pay attention to advertising?
