How do i get a memory card to work in my printer? -

I have a hp psc 1350 printer. I need to load a memory card from my friends camera onto the computer and i do not have the cord. When i put the memory card into the printer it reads error. It does this with one of my memory cards too, but with another one it works. My friends card says Toshiba SD memory card and it is 256 MB. Is there a way i can get it to work, and somehow get the pictures on the computer?

the problem is there s sd memory and then there s sd memory. let me explain: even though the sd is in the same physical format, not all card readers will read a particular manufacturers sd card. this is especially true of 3rd party sd card makers. does the printer have a usb port? if so you can purchase a card reader at target or walmart. it s a small device that has 4-6 slots for the various memory card types. make sure you read the package to see if your particular sd card manufacturer is supported. it seems rediculous but look for a card reader that says like quot;56 in 1quot; or some high number like that. there s really only about 6 different types of physical memory card formats but there s probably hundreds of manufacturers. that s what that 56 in 1 refers to. btw you can purchse one of these card readers for less than $20.

My only answer for this one is, can the printer use SD cards? Because it could be that the printer uses other types of cards but not the SD card. See if the manual states that it can use the SD card.
