How do you unclog a printer head on catridge? -

I have a HP deskjet that does not print black. I think the head may be clogged how do i fix this?

Take out the cartridge and run hot water over the jet bit at the front for a minute or so. Then press a tissue over the jets with your finger and flick it in a downward motion a few times. You should see the ink leave a pattern on the tissue. You might have to do it a few times. Another way is to hold the jets over steam then do the same test. You have to be careful not to damage the contacts, but most cartridges are hardier than they look

How do I get my computer and my 3 in 1 printer yo copy and paste to a e-mail? -

Scan and attach the image or OCR into an e-mail app.

How do you convert and print from a Adobe PDF Doc? -

I would like to print a A5 Booklet, from a A4 document. This would need to be doublesided too. Everytime I try, I get the pages way too small, or, doublesided lands upside down. I have wasted so much paper trying to do this correctly.

Have a look to see if these options are present in your printer driver. My printer supports this mode of printing.

How do I change my print fount size when printing Yahoo E mails? -

How to print a jewel case insert on cardstock , without special software ? -

What is the proper size of a jewel case insert according to the printer settings ?

Easiest way to do it would be to measure it. Then you can create a quot;customquot; page size in Word, Wordperfect and probably Open Office.

What is the difference between a drum cartridge and a toner cartridge and how do they work? -

I am considering changing from inkjet to mono laser as I am fed up with having to clean the heads and if one fails, the printer won t work. I m researching the consumables to go with a laser and am trying to understand how they work in comparison with an iinkjet and also the possible benefits. Any answers much appreciated.

I will personally recommend you to use a laserjet printer if your printing usuage is very high. A small HP laserjet printer can print as much 2500 page and the cartridge cost about S$200lt; If let say your usuage is ery low, one cartridge can last you for a year!!! So when purchase a printer, look out for the cost for the cartridge and the function of the printer as some of the laserjet printer are either networking or duplex( can prin double page) Oh ya, by the way the function for the drum cartridge is to transmit image and it can last about 3-4 round of usage. hmmm. to save the trouble, it would be better to buy a Laserjet printer that use only Toner Cartridge as it will be much more better choice for you. Last but not least, Do remember a printer work just like a car, they need regular servcing to prolong their shelf-life!!! hmmm... hope this information do help you!!! Cheers!!!

Thank you, this has been very helpful, as has the answer by smedrik. Report Abuse

A drum unit collects waste from the toner. A toner is the unit that actually contains the quot;inkquot; for printing. A drum unit should last as long as it takes you to use 3-4 toners.

Is there a special way to printing transparencies? -

I am trying to print transparencies (for an overhead projector) and I have never done it before, what size font is recommended and should it be bold.

1. Yes you can use bold to quot;highlightquot; items (Topics, to separate out items etc). 2. I would suggest that your standard text size is either 14 or 16 for best viewing. 3. Make sure you use the type of transparencies your printer needs (inkjet vs. laser). 4. To make sure you print on the correct side, do a test with regular paper. Put an X on side of the paper you are wanting to print on, then place it in your printer. This will tell you if your printer quot;flips the paperquot; or just feeds in and prints, so you can place your quot;filmsquot; into the printer correctly and not waste money.

How to install a refurbished printer cartridge on an HP printer? -

I have an HP Photosmart C3180 printer, just got a refurbished color cartridge and the printer keeps telling me there is an error with the cartridge and I can t print anything. I ve heard that HP has built in quot;featuresquot; that are basically designed to make it hell if you don t want to buy their cartridges. Is there a way to bypass all the bullsh*t and use refurbished cartridges?

Well quot;caviate emptorquot; . Expect tech related problems if you go against what the manufacturer says. To be direct there is a way around the problem but in this case, I do not want to be responsible for dealing with support related matters. Shell out the bucks or get a printer that is cheap to run.

The chip my not have been reset... buy a new Epson one and see if it works...if so, return the refurb. and ask if they reset the internal chip..(behind the little brass spots)...then you ll know if that s the problem.

Careful. We had an Epson printer and the instructions specifically cautioned to use only Epson cartridges. Well, we always used Epson until the printer got a few years old and it became harder and harder to find their cartridge at the store. One day we were in Fry s and the salesman said that a generic cartridge would fit. The label on the cartridge said it would work in our model Epson. My husband installed it. The printer was irreparably damaged. We recycled the printer at the next collection scheduled and bought another printer (different brand)..

How do I print to a Konica 7145 copier with network printing? -

Hi, we recently got a Konica 7145 copier that has network printing capabilities and supports IPP. We have a small P2P network. I have tried repeatedly to get it to print over the network without success. I can ping the copier s IP just fine. I am able to access the web utility so I know that I can connect to the copier via TCP/IP. IPP is enabled. Any ideas are appreciated!

Hi, Your best bet is use the PCL driver if you dont know if you have postscript installed. Open the printer properties, click the quot;PORTSquot; tab, click quot;ADD PORTquot;, double click quot;STANDARD TCP/IPquot;.New window opens, then click quot;NEXTquot;, enter IP address of the copier, click quot;NEXTquot;, on next page ignore everything and click quot;NEXTquot; again, click quot;FINISHquot; window will close and you will see the small quot;PRINTER PORTSquot; window again, clickquot;CLOSEquot;, click quot;CONFIGURE PORTquot;, in the PROTOCOL box clickquot;LPRquot;in the quot;LPR SETTINGSquot; the quot;QUEUE NAMEquot; is quot;PORT1quot;, also click the quot;LPR BYTE COUNTINGquot; box, then click quot;OKquot; window will close, on original properties window click quot;APPLYquot;. You should be ready to print now.

Are the drivers installed on the computer you are trying to print from? Do you see the printer in the print dialog box when you select that option? If not, the printer s driver s probably need to be installed on each workstation (client). Once you have the drivers installed, you should be able to see the printer in the print dialog box, and select to print to it.

How do i make my computer wireless? -

HI i have Canon Mp730 and i have about three computers and it is just annoying having to connect and remove the cord from each computer. I wanted to make my printer wireless but am having trouble. Help please!

Why dont u use it as a network printer with all the three computers? You will need a hub or switch for that purpose to create a network among those computers. Connect your printer to any of the computers and share it on the network via that computer. If your printer has a integrated bluetooth device, or it has a USB port and supports bluetooth, then your purpose will be solved much easliy. Add your printer as a bluetooth printer on all the three PCs. Of course, the printer may then respond slowly. I hope you know how to share and add a network or bluetooth printer on whatever operating system you are using.

How do I get my new black ink jet cartridge to work? -

I recently bought a new black ink jet cartridge for my printer. I pulled the tape off the bottom and now it doesn t work. Nothing will print!

does the printer show a new cartridge? have you tried resetting the printer? (turn off, disconnect cable, reconnect turn on) Try going into the tools section of the printer propertis and chec for either a calibration adjustment or to see if it shows there is an ink level.

Make sure and check if you put it in right then you have to go to settings and put in new black ink and then select. And it should work if not turn off the power and reset it.

take it back and get a new one

How do you print to the printer of another Internet user at another location? -

I want to have our office manager working from home with Internet connection through an ISP to print Word, Excel, and e-mail documents on printers at other locations. The other locations will also be connected to the Internet via an ISP. All users will be connected to the Internet as single users (no networks). It would be preferred if the printers could be connected directly to the Internet via cable modem, but connecting the printer through the users PC would also be acceptable.

you set up a remote printer on a network

Is there a inexpensive way to network two computer to one printer? -

Is there a inexpensive way that I can network two computers to one printer. Both computers having sharing capabilities.

yes, read what you said, and you figure haft of it out. Connect both computers on the same network with a router, then connect the printer to the network with the router, if no more connections, use a hub. Then download all drivers with the software, and make sure it has sharing capabilities. Good Luck!!!

How do I change my documents from read only so I can print them? -

I have several documents in WordPerfect that are read only and I need to print them. Thanks in advance.

search in yahoo web search for it or its software , you will get it

right click on documents and go to properties. u would find and option uncheck read only.

First, the fact that they are read only should not affect if you can print them. They should only allow you not to change them. Second, I would suggest copying the files as I am assuming they were made read only for a reason. Two ways below. Do whatever you feel more comfortable with. 1) Open in Word Perfect and Save As some other file. It will save as a regular document. 2) Find the file using Windows Explorer, right click on the file, and uncheck the Read-only attribute. Click OK.

In Windows Explorer, right click on the file. A menu will pop up. Down near the bottom, select quot;Propertiesquot;. A new window will pop up which has info about the file. Near the bottom, you ll see quot;Read Onlyquot; and quot;Hiddenquot;, with a check-box next to each one. Uncheck quot;Read Only.quot; Click OK. You should be good to go.... UNLESS!!! Unless it was WordPerfect that made it read-only. If that s the case, you may have to figure out how to undo that in WordPerfect. Try my method first. It s simple, and if it doesn t work, you can try to figure out WP.

What printer has the cheapest refill cartridge? -

I just need a printer thats refills don t cost a fortune. Can you suggest one? Printers are cheap themselves..but those refills...dear LORD!

The Kodak ESP 3 is a great printer for photos and documents. The best part is how reasonable the refill cartridges are - $14.99. The best thing to do is get the ink from Kodak.com

Refilling cartridges is messy and dangerous to your printer. I get ink cartridges for epson printers for $3 at http://ccs-digital.com and they hold almost twice the ink of regular cartridges. I also happen to think Epson printers are the best because they have the best warranty. For a year Epson will fedex a replacement and pick up the old one should it fail. Right now epson is having a sale on their printers. Just go to www.epson.com. Take a look at the workforce and NX series. They re great printers. Avoid the artisan for now because they use different cartridges for which I havent seen compatibles. good luck

Buy an Epson printer from the Epson website. Buy a CISS from the website below. You will save TONS of money and never buy another ink cartridge again. http://www.inkproducts.com/ink-store/

Printers are cheap because the manufacturer s make their profit on the cartridges. There are no cheap ones and refill kits can mess up your printer

Choose the among the cheapest ink cartridges in this website

You could always just buy a refill kit. They sell them at WalMart for about $20.

What printer has the cheapest refill cartridge? yes

What stock would be recommended to print good looking envelope and stationery? -

I have an hp deskjet 5150. I want to print a limited number of good-looking envelopes and letterhead. Can it be done and if so, what would be the recommended stock? Looking for acceptably good results without having to go to commercial printing. Thanks for any help.

I see that you wish to print envelopes and would like to know the type of media to use. Please visit the following web site to check the supported media and envelopes by the printer. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docum…

There is a paper stock called quot;Classic Laidquot; that has worked well for me. Not too expensive.

How do you fix a printer that does not pull in the paper evenly and causes a paper jam? -

I have a hp officejet 6110 and almost every time is pulls in the paper to print, it pulls it in unevenly and causes a paper jam. Any ideas how to fix this?

You need to have your printer thoroughly cleaned. Over time, residue and powder from the toner will accumulate on the rollers and cause exactly what you are experiencing now. You can clean it yourself, but you may not be able to get everything out - its probably better to bring it to a computer technician. Yes, you ll pay more for the service, but it should keep your printer going for some months after that.

Have the printer cleaned by a qualified technician. Short of that, use a can of compressed air to clean all rolling surfaces that you can see or get to. A qualified technician can get into areas that aren t accessible to the casual user.

you don t say how old the printer is...the feed mechanism for paper from the tray to the print area- are there small rubber rollers there? if so, after a lot of use they get glazed from paper dust [or coatings on the paper]. try using some rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip to clean the rollers...don t drip.

There are two potential problems. The first one is that there rollers need to be cleaned. You can do this with a lightly dampened lint free cloth. The other possibility is that the rollers are out of round or are no longer even. In that case they will need to be replaced. Try cleaning the printer first. It s much easier and far less expensive.

Where is the best place to order ink cartridge refill kits for my cannon photo printer? -

I know of web sites I can go through but I want the best quality for my picture printer. I would like to use an inexpensive 3rd party ink refill company. Any suggestions?

Don t know what specific model Cannon printer you have or the cartridge type but check out this site for new cartridges instead of refilling. http://www.imarketcity.com

I would highly recommend Max Toner Cartridge. They have good quality Toner Cartridges with quantity discount. There shippings are super fast. By the way are you particular looking inks or toner? Do you have a Laser Printer or Inkjet Printer? Try http://www.maxtonercartridge.com

Well personally i would not recommend anyone using refill kits! It is true that these will cut costs, but as for saving you money in the long term i think not. I would not recommend anyone buying remanufactured cartridges from a well known selling site or anyone on the web unless they can state that you will be able to return for your money back if you encounter any problems. You want the best printing but you choose to use 3rd party ink? You never get something for nothing, sooner or later your printer will run into problems.I dont see what country you are from? as i do know many good stockists in the UK and there are many of these outlets dotted all over the country which provide a very good quality ink and these are remanufactured cartridges but believe me they are very good. I have used Canon printers for many years now and swear by them, the Pixma range from the IP3000 upwards are fantastic and Canon refills are probably one of the best and value for money.I have tried different inks in all my Canons and i have approx 4 of them as well as A3 compatible Canon printer. I have tried all sorts of refill kits as well as different papers and have had mixed results with all. I do not recommend refilling cartridges unless you can refill in a vacuum enviroment. For your own sanity as well as your pocket stay away from refill kits. Continue their use at your own peril

How print continuously in a HP 2550 color laserjet with legal size paper? -

I have a 2550 hp color laserjet printer, when i print with legal size paper the printer stops in every sheet, so i have to go to the printer and push the green button to continue printing another sheet, but when i print with letter size that not happen the printer prints continously.

It may be in your printer properties. When you go file print you should see a box come up that has a properties button. Click on it and see if shows you the properties for your printer It should have a place somewhere to tell it to print aumatically without having to push the button everytime for each page.

Why does my computer restart whenever I turn on my printer? -

Whenever I turn on my printer, my computer will automatically restart itself. This just started happening as of late and I don t understand why, is my 8-year-old computer finally starting to kick the bucket?

nothing wrong with your pc,it just the driver install for the printer,go to the printer website download the latest software for it or if you still have the cd ,go to add and remove programs uninstall the printer software restart the pc reinstall the printer cd software

I would disconnect the usb or parralel cable that goes from the printer to the computer. Then see if the computer still restarts. If it does not, then you know its not an AC power related issue. I would then check the data cable be it usb or parallel and replace it, if needed. If it is usb you can try plugging it into another usb slot. With some more info I could help better

First guess is that it is a laser printer and you have it plugged into the same circuit as the PC. The laser draws about 7 amps on startup, and it is enough to make the voltage on the AC power sag momentarily - causing the computer to reset. Try running an extension cord from another circuit in the house/office to the laser as an experiment.

How do I get Avery Business card 27881 to print correctly on a HP office jet 5610v.? -

I tried adjusting the allignment and using several different softwares. My project will print on plain card stock paper correctly.I was wondering if it was because I use an officejet and the cards require inkjet. I really don t know the difference between the two!

Are you using a template for the business card? You should go to the Avery website and download the free template for Business card 27881. It should be an MS Word file so you don t need to download any special programs for it.

What is a good photo printer for large pictures? -

I am looking to print pictures that measure 11x17 or even 12x18, does anyone know a good printer that will print high-resolution photos at that size?

I agree that the Epson printers are an excellent choice, but you may not want to spend that amount of money. Epson has a wide selection of printers that will print up to 13X19 prints. I highly reccomend the new R1900. This printer has advanced features and Radiance Technology (your photo will look the same wether in your home or hanging in an Art Gallery). You can learn more aabout these printers by going to: http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/Produ… and scrolling down to the Epson Stylus Photo Series. You will be amazed.

This baby will get the job done...and then some: Epson Stylus Pro 7800 http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/WideF…

How on earth do I print 4x6 photos on my printer? -

It s an HP Photosmart 3210. I need to print an image but it keeps coming out too big and being cropped, even though I selected quot;print 4x6quot; under paper type. I am printing it from Microsoft Paint, and it s not working, so do I need some special software to do this?

Microsoft paint is a very very basic freebie. It will NOT print photos the way you want them, you need additional software You should have got software with your printer, check your program files to see if its there, if not insert your cd and look there in software Otherwise try downloading the HP program from here: Organize, edit, print, share, and enjoy your photos with HP Photosmart Essential http://www.hp.com/united-states/consumer…

You might indeed need special software made especially for your printer. If you go to the company website, you might find a link to the appropriate software. It is possible that your printer is simply not designed to do 4x6 photos. I have a special printer just for those, with software that came with it. I might add, I have paint and it is an odd program to use for such things. I just checked and could not find a place to set it for photo size.

I am not familiar with the HP 3210 but I presume as the driver software gives you the option to print on 4x6 there is a tray for such paper. MS Paint is very old software and is widely regarded as not worth having - yet they still continue to distribute it. I definitely would not use Paint for anything - it compares very badly with other stuff. If you are printing a picture that is larger than 4x6 it will be cropped. To get the size you want, you will have to re-size it. By dividing the pixels across and the pixels down by the resolution you will get a rough idea of how big the print will be - but it is only rough. 1500 pixels at 150 dpi SHOULD be 10 inches - but it isn t quite! Why don t you get Irfan View? It is essentially a viewer, but it does lots of other things like resizing and you can determine the actual print size rather than work it out. This software is free from www.irfanview.com. If you want to do a lot more to your pictures, I wholeheartedly recommend Paint Shop Pro. It costs money, but it is very powerful and very easy to use and at a fraction of the price of the more difficult to use Photoshop. see www.corel.com

How do you print different address on one label sheet? -

I have word 2000. Is there a way that you could type addresses on a form and then print or copy at staples or kinkos? What I am trying to address invitations and reponse cards.

In Word: Tools Letters amp; Mailings Envelopes amp; Labels Choose your label size Then at the right, click quot;New Documentquot; That will open up a new window with a format of your labels. You can then type your individual addresses in these boxes and print on label paper. Good Luck!

I use the Avery program (free) and save it as a word doc. it save all of the formating problem as it has all of the templates in it

Why does a letter print a quarter of the size of the preview, when margins have been adjusted? -

I prepare an A4 document for printing on my HP Printer. It appears to be in order both in origin and in preview. When I come to print it it prints about a quarter of the size. I have checked margins etc, but to no effect. Any suggestions anybody?

Hi Colin, I don t know what program you are formatting your letter with but I had a similar problem with Word. What I would up doing was reinstalling my HP drivers. That took care of it for me. Norm

Why is the USB cord I purchased for my Lexmark printer SO SHORT? Are there longer cords available? -

As it is now, I have to put the laptop and printer side/side on my desk---thus \i donot have much room. Is there some type of an extension I can purchase?

Radioshack, WalMart, Bestbuy all have USB cords from anywhere from 3 to 50 feet. And the above post is creepy.

Come on, it s not the length of your cord, it s how you use it.

How can I get my printer to quit printing pages with one line of random symbols? -

My printer just keeps printing out pages with only 1 line of symbols at the top. I took the paper out because it would have just kept wasting paper. I turned it off and back on but it didnt help at all.

my printer has done that, but only when we put in a new ink cartridge so...did you just do that?? im not sure, i hate technology haha

I have a HP deskjet 895. It is an old printer and therefore it gets paper jam more often. When it jammed and after I cleared out, it will print one line of garbage symbol. Reboot the printer is not enough. I found I have to reboot the computer in order to clear the garbage. I did not invest time on re-install printer driver etc. May be I should. Maybe a new driver will not have this annoyance ( I had another DJ895 before, I do not remember it bahaved this way) I am guessing that becasue of the jam, the printer function on the computer get interupted and need to be cleaned out.

warn it very sternly and threaten it.. no, just joking. uninstall the printer from control panel, printer section, then locate the correct drivers on the internet and reinstall them again. This sounds like a driver mismatch. also, unhook it from the power source AND your computer (if it is directly connected either via USB or parallel port), leave it for an hour, before hooking back. If it is a USB, install the drivers before connecting it.

How do I connect my printer upstairs to my computer downstairs? -

My computer upstairs is connect to a printer and to a router so my computer downstairs has internet. Now I would like to connect the downstairs computer this printer. How would I do this? Can someone please help me step-by-step on setting this up? thanks

You open up your control panel, go to your listing of installed printers, right click on the one you want to share, click on Sharing... Turn on file and printer and sharing, and give that printer a name. Now, you should be able to see that printer from the downstairs computer, when looking at the computer in network neighborhood. Double clicking on the printer from that remote will begin the installation on the remote computer.

How can I connect to a printer over the internet? -

I would like to connect to a printer over the internet, both pc-s use windows xp sp2 and both are connected to the internet. How can I do it?

We need more information. I m assuming the printer is connected to one of the PCs and you want to print through the print server of the remote machine...right? I m also assuming there is NO special firewall to deal with. Using control panel, Firewall. If it s turned on, then click to allow exceptions and make sure that quot;file/print sharingquot; is a selected exception in the quot;exceptionsquot; tab. Click quot;Startquot;, quot;Runquot; and type \\ and the IP of the remote machine. You should be able to see the printer and connect to it...provided there is no special security. Again, if you have any firewalls to configure, it gets messy. ---------------- If the printer is on the network using the LPR protocol then the far firewall needs to allow that to pass to the printer. You can setup the printer on the PC using LPR. ---------------- If you have IIS running on the Print server. You can use that too. *************** Edit:Ok, are there any firewalls/routers in the way? I bet there are where the printer is.

What is the perforated edge on photo paper for? -

I got this new quot;HP Premium Photo Paperquot; The box says it s 4x6 with a perforated edge. What do you do with the little edge piece? You take it off before you put it in the printer?

Actually, you feed it into the printer holding the perforation. After it s done printing, and the ink has had time to dry, you tear the perforated edge off, and you have a 4x6 photo.

I suggest that you use Visual Photo++.It is a powerful utility that uniquely supports to browse photos with popup thumbnails and enhance the photos with lots of advanced auto image processing algorithms. Visual Photo++ is not only a comprehensive application ideal for acquiring, organizing, viewing, and sharing your images, but also a powerful photo enhancing software for automatically adjusting image s exposure, color, despecking image s noise and so on.

I think with photo paper, the print loses quality rapidly as it gets toward the edge( cause you hold the still wet photo by the edges and stuff........so you can just tear off the bad quality part at the edge, after you ve printed.

Sounds like you purchased Tractor paper. It was used in old Dot Matrix printers. You can still use the paper in an Ink Jet printer but you will need to remove the edge(s). It tears off easily.

What do I use for connecting two computers to one printer? -

Is there a requirement for an AC plugged in unit or an AB switch or what? Any idea on cost or where to buy for less?

try networking the computers and connect the printer to the host computer then you should be able to use the printer from both hope this helps

I would recommend a wireless printing system.

How do I wirelessly add a printer to a Macbook? -

My Macbook is wirelessly connected to my wireless router. The Main desktop is connected to the router and has an HP 3100 Printer (i think). How do I make it so that I can wirelessly print from staying connected to the wireless router?

http://www.apple.com/support/tiger/print… http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?… If your main desktop is a PC then you might try this, but first enable print sharing from the main desktop. How to manually add a Windows shared printer 1. Open Printer Setup Utility (located in /Applications/Utilities). 2. Mac OS X 10.4.x users: Choose Add Printer from the Printers menu, then hold the Option key while clicking the quot;More Printersquot; button. Mac OS X 10.3.x users: Hold the Option key down while choosing Add Printer from the Printers menu. 3. Choose Advanced from the first pop-up menu. 4. Choose Windows Printer via SAMBA from the Device pop-up menu. 5. In the Device Name field, type the name you would like to use for this printer in Mac OS X. 6. What is the shelf life of HP ink straight from the Manufacturer? -

I see an expiration date on the HP ink I buy from the store, and I was just wondering how long the shelf life is when it come straight from the manufacture? Thanks a bunch.

Well, if the expiration is still good, don t worry about it. Even if it is on the shelf for two years as long as it isn t expired. Under normal circumstances, a shell life of 2 years is the norm.

All dye based inks, like the HP ink, use a 2 year normal room temperature self life as an expiration suggested date. A premixed pigment based ink will have a much shorter shelf life usually (unless it uses some formulation specifically targetting shelf life).

How do you print from one computer to the next using the receiving computers fax machine? -

I dont have a printer and I visit my parents all the time. They have a fax machine that i can print from, yet transfering the documents tend to be time taking and tend to become alterd in the process between the different comps. thanks.

I guess what you could do is use a internet faxing service that provides fax to email and email to fax services. This way, you can email your documents to your parents fax machine and it will print out there. I suggest you give this method a try, you can find the best online faxing services at http://faxfromyourcomputer.com/ they provide a great review of the best companies and they all offer a FREE 30 day trial, so you can test it out for a full month free!

What is high yield ink for a color printer? What is it used for versus regular ink? -

What is high yield ink for a color printer for? I have the option to buy it, but does it offer more ink for the money-- meaning good for a small business. Or does it mean better quality?

Higher yield cartridges contain more ink than normal size cartridges. However, not all printers have the high yield ink option. Normally, office or home-office printers will give you the option to buy a higher-yield cartridge. Here s an example of how it works. The HP 6980 deskjet printer takes a 7ml color cartridge that costs $25. Also available for this printer is a 14ml color cartridge that costs $35. Buying the 14ml cartridge for $35 is much cheaper than buying two 7ml cartridges for $25, thus in the long run saving money. Those who do not do a lot of color printing would stick with the lower yield cartridge, but those who do a lot of color printing would save money by spending $10 more on the double-sized cartridge.

think about SUPER SIZE your value meal. it comes w more ink so cartridge last long

Which of the following printers would have the highest quality printer output? -

Which of the following printers would have the highest quality printer output? Ink jet printer set to print in black only. Ink jet printer set to print in color. Laser printer. All of the above.

Laser printer.

The question is about quality, not the price of ink. For photos I havent seen a laser which can match an inkjet. For text, definitely laser. And the Samsung CLP300 color laser was selling for $80 at Staples last year. I bought several for myself and family members. So far, despite heavy printing, we are still on the original cartridges.

Here s the deal: Ink jet printers are cheaper, and so are the cartdriges, but you have to replace them at LEAST once a month...It adds up... Laser Printers mostly come in only Bamp;W if you want it to be the same price as the inkjet...to get laser color AND Bamp;W, it can cost $200-$300. But here s the catch:With ink, you only get a few hundred copies per catridge...for lasers, you get a few THOUSAND. So it costs you more initially, and the cartriges are around $100-$150 a pop, but, you only have to replace them once or twice a year...in the end, your saving money the laser way, after about a year or so... But you choose...

What is the best manufacturer of printers? -

If I want a new printer when i get a new laptop what manufacturer is best to buy from if I print about four pages of colour a day and two or three black and white/greystyle. HELP ME! Thanks!

It really depends upon what you are looking for in a printer: If you are looking for a high quality photo printer, Epson. If you want a good all purpose business machine, Brother. A general purpose Good quality printer would be Hewlett Packard. However if you are looking for something portable to lug around with the laptop, Canon is definitely the way to go. If you are just looking into a Grey scale printer and portability is not an issue, take a look into lasers, more specifically a samsung ML-2010. Just as cheap as an inkjet however you will yield at least 10X the pages from a cartridge.

If you check quot;cost per pagequot; you will find HP printers lowest cost. Quality wise is always HP tho epson does push on some.

HP

i have had no problem with my cannon or hp printers. so i would say them

i have hewlett packard now and so far this has been the best , but thats only my opinion

HEWLETT PACKARD !

Canon is probably the best. They are the cheapest to operated in the long run and they are usually always high quality machines. They have individual ink tanks, unlike most HPs, so you won t have to buy a whole new color cartridge when you run out. HP definitely has more models available than Canon, but that doesn t technically mean they are better. HP is probably going to be cheaper and they are pretty good for printing text, but if you are printing color every day, then Canon is the way to go.

I like my Canon as it has indivual ink tanks that I can refill my self.

Any brand. Any inexpensive priced printer will do a good job for your needs.

What should i do to fix my printer that automatically deletes the printing job everytime I try to print? -

Everytime i press print, nothing happens. When I checked the printer window, i saw that it was automatically deleting all the print jobs. What adjustments should i make to make my printer functional again?

Hi, Make sure your printer is correctly connected to your pc. It seems if your pc is sending out your data to the printer and that it thinks that all went fine. It is normal behavior to delete the print-job when printing is done. Have a look at the printers properties and try to print a test page from there. If still nothing comes out the printer, remove printer and re-install it.

How do I find out which ink cartridge to buy for my prineR? And I have a Lexmark X1185. What do I need? -

I have a Lexmark X1185 printer.. What ink cartridge do I need to buy that will work on it??

lex mark 16

Here is a link that lists the cartridges you need: http://www.castleink.com/Lexmark-X1185.h… 10N0016 and the 10N0026

I had a Lexmark printer at one time and bought my ink at either staples or wal mart. They had a book you looked up your printer and it tells you what cartridge to buy.

Generally, go to a store that sells printer cartridges and look for Lexmark cartridges that have your model listed on the side of the box. You can even save time by checking their online sites in advance. Hope that helps.

open up your printer where the ink goes and on the top of it will state the Number that you need to buy. If you go to staples or somewhere like that and bring them the empty ones you will get $5.00 off.. plus they will be able to tell you what kind you may need

What is the best type of printer to use when you want to print proffesional flyers? -

This flyers will be handed door to door and I want it to be able to print brochures and business cards that are high quality

A color laser printer is the absolute best choice. They will run you about $300 bucks but it is well worth the money and the cartridges print like 1000 color copies!! Dell makes a really awesome one.

I would suggest a Laser printer.

Where can you buy labels that you can print on using a inkjet printer? -

Transparent labels like the ones on commercial products like shampoos, or salad dressing. I think you can buy these labels and print on them using printer. But i m not sure.

Most office supply stores have it, such as Staples and Office Depot. Here is the link to the one in Staples: http://www.staples.com/office/supplies/c…

How can i connect my printer wirelessly to my laptop from desktop? -

I would like to use my printer that is connect to my desktop with my laptop wirelessly. Can anyone tell me how i can do this?

if your desktop and laptop are wirelessly connected, and the printer is attached to the desktop (all drivers installed, etc)... then all you should really have to do is install the printer drivers on the laptop and tell it that you are accessing the printer on a network location upon install... it should work (at least thats how i got mine working)

get a wireless router, setup a network, enable print sharing... EDIT disregard frist two items and continue...

What is a good color printer to buy for the home? -

I am looking to buy a printer that not only prints fast but clearly as well. I would also like it to printer photos every now and then. I was looking into all-in-one printers, but was informed that not all aspects of the all-in-one s work great.

Look at HP Officejet Pro K550. This prints fast, plus has 4 ink cartridges, so you save money buying ink.

I would go with a HP 1350 all in one, it has everything you need a copier, scanner, and printer! I have never had problems with it, and my family members have purchased them to!

We have a Cannon at home at my office. The office one is an All-in-one Canon Pixma MP780...works great and does everything.

Epson C88+. (or any of the epson stylus C8X series) Never had any problems with these at home or work.

Love my Lexmark Z65, got it for $35 (with out ink) on Ebay, works like a charm, and fast!

Our HP (Hewlett Packard) Deskjet 3620 has always been great, and it s simple to use and to replace the cartridges, even for me, and I HATE technology.
