Which of the following printers would have the highest quality printer output? Ink jet printer set to print in black only. Ink jet printer set to print in color. Laser printer. All of the above.

Laser printer.

The question is about quality, not the price of ink. For photos I havent seen a laser which can match an inkjet. For text, definitely laser. And the Samsung CLP300 color laser was selling for $80 at Staples last year. I bought several for myself and family members. So far, despite heavy printing, we are still on the original cartridges.

Here s the deal: Ink jet printers are cheaper, and so are the cartdriges, but you have to replace them at LEAST once a month...It adds up... Laser Printers mostly come in only Bamp;W if you want it to be the same price as the inkjet...to get laser color AND Bamp;W, it can cost $200-$300. But here s the catch:With ink, you only get a few hundred copies per catridge...for lasers, you get a few THOUSAND. So it costs you more initially, and the cartriges are around $100-$150 a pop, but, you only have to replace them once or twice a year...in the end, your saving money the laser way, after about a year or so... But you choose...
