How do I print to a Konica 7145 copier with network printing? -

Hi, we recently got a Konica 7145 copier that has network printing capabilities and supports IPP. We have a small P2P network. I have tried repeatedly to get it to print over the network without success. I can ping the copier s IP just fine. I am able to access the web utility so I know that I can connect to the copier via TCP/IP. IPP is enabled. Any ideas are appreciated!

Hi, Your best bet is use the PCL driver if you dont know if you have postscript installed. Open the printer properties, click the quot;PORTSquot; tab, click quot;ADD PORTquot;, double click quot;STANDARD TCP/IPquot;.New window opens, then click quot;NEXTquot;, enter IP address of the copier, click quot;NEXTquot;, on next page ignore everything and click quot;NEXTquot; again, click quot;FINISHquot; window will close and you will see the small quot;PRINTER PORTSquot; window again, clickquot;CLOSEquot;, click quot;CONFIGURE PORTquot;, in the PROTOCOL box clickquot;LPRquot;in the quot;LPR SETTINGSquot; the quot;QUEUE NAMEquot; is quot;PORT1quot;, also click the quot;LPR BYTE COUNTINGquot; box, then click quot;OKquot; window will close, on original properties window click quot;APPLYquot;. You should be ready to print now.

Are the drivers installed on the computer you are trying to print from? Do you see the printer in the print dialog box when you select that option? If not, the printer s driver s probably need to be installed on each workstation (client). Once you have the drivers installed, you should be able to see the printer in the print dialog box, and select to print to it.
