My printer will not print anything unless I first reboot the computer. What is going on? -

I mean I send something to print. It sits there stupidly and won t print out until the computer is rebooted, then it goes ahead and prints.

It sounds like the quot;print spoolerquot; service simply needs to be restarted. You can go to quot;Servicesquot; and look for Print Spooler and it should have the option to restart it. If you are on Windows Vista just search for services on the start search box. On Windows XP you can right click on My Computer and click Manage and then on the left pane expand Services and Applications, and then click Services. Hope this helps.

Your driver has probably been corrupted. This is your printer driver. You need to get the latest version from the manufacturer and reinstall the driver. I got this info from my hubby. Hope it helps. He says you can get the newer version online. Give it a try and see if it works. He said the same thing happened to our printer.

How come my printer starts printing at start? -

How come my printer starts printing at start up? Information System OS- Windows Vista 32-bit hard drive- 320GB Memory- 1024MB My printer is HP Photosmart C3100 series please help!

Do you mean the printer wakes up and does a head clean cycle or does it physically print a page out ? If it prints something out WHAT IS IT ? If it simply wakes up, that s normal when the USB system starts, and it is quot;preparing to be usedquot;

It is not a big matter, but is print pages then there is any page in line for print.

Test prints its normal

How do I make my computer recognize Explorer 7 in order to install my printer? -

My computer keeps telling me that I need Exployer 5 or more to install my printer, I have Exployer 7 on my computer but it will not install, does anyone know what I should do.

That s odd... if you re using XP, then you re using at least IE6. What Windows version are you using? I guess you are still using Win98, WinMe or Win2000. If that s the case, then your only choice is to download and install Internet Explorer 6. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai…

What printer should I get to print photos, documents, and other stuff? -

I used to use an HP Photosmart 1100 printer and I could print photos and drawings onto paper, cloth, photopaper, etc. all with great results. Unfortunately there is no XP driver, so I need to get a new printer. It needs to be affordable, versatile, + print photo quality. Can you recommend something that will make me ecstatic?

kodak.

My vote goes to Kodak. The new ESP line is absolutely amazing, especially the high level ones. All of the ESPs are the same where print quality is concerned, but some have more features. The ESP3 is the cheapest, at $99 at my local Staples.

I have a Canon...it is a scanner, printer and even has an LCD screen for printing photos off an SD....I paid 75 bucks for it at Best Buy.

I have an HP printer too. WORKS GREAT!!! here is the link to BEST BUY. ALL IN ONE PRINTER love it! http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8447362amp;type=productamp;id=1184768129582 good luck

Whats the best printer for use with bank checks printing? -

Can you also include price and printing speed? Thanks...

Depends on teh TYPE of cheques you print If continuous stationary, you going to need a dot matrix / impact type. If indivisual sheets, then most UK banks use small desktop lasers ( I think some older HPs) to print receipts on 1/3 sheet size slips, so should manage cheques.

If you are in a business in which you need to write checks to pay your bills, then just about any business printer will do the job. If you are in the counterfeiting business, I am not going to help you.

How do I change the ink waste absorber in my Canon i9900 printer? -

I have found no detailed instructions (including in the manual) on how exactly to change the ink waste absorber in my Canon i9900 printer. Also, you have to reset this somehow? I use this printer at my job, so any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The steps are given at the forum article below. The steps are also at Canon s site.

How do I set up a wireless printer connection for my computer? -

I have two computers, both plugged into my DSL modem via broadband connection. I have one printer and unfortunately I can only plug that into one computer. Is there a way that I could get the printer working on both computers, maybe through a wireless connection on the computer without the printer cable plugged in.

A wireless print server. Available at CompUSA for about 50 bucks.

Look for a print server. This will allow you to plug the printer into your router giving access to anyone on your network.

Is there a driver or a patch to run an HP Business Ink Jet 1100 on the Windows Vista operating system? -

Vista says the printer is not compatable. I hope there is a way to use it.

It looks like there is not an updated driver for this printer. This is from the HP website: HP Deskjet and Business Inkjet Printer Series 1100- HP Product Is Not Supported in Microsoft Windows Vista. Sorry, but it does not look like you can use the peinter on your new OS.

Here the drivers for the HP Business Ink Jet 1100d. The drivers are the same as the ones for the 1100. Just select your version of Vista and download the drivers. The printer will start to work. I work in IT and have just tried these drivers the 1100 drivers didn t work but the 1100d drivers worked. Hope this helps. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/Tec…

My work computer only prints in color I need it to only print black and white to save money Bizhubc451 printer? -

I know this is a tough question. It is a really big and complicated Konica Minolta Bizhub c451 systems printer. The settings are out of this world and the user guide is literally 2000 pages. I m looking for the answer, but thought maybe someone out there would know. I just want to make every print job black and white. Thanks for your time.

You should be able to select Bamp;W as an option from your computer. I know there is this setting in Word and all the other Microsoft Office products. Select Print and then Properties - there is usually a quot;Grayscalequot; option somewhere.

What printer is suitable for continuous printing? -

I want to buy a printer able to print 8.5 inch width continuous paper of say 5m length. Margin should be only at start and end only.Could you please suggest any printer?

I don t know what you re trying to print, but there are some pretty good dot-matrix printers that have fairly good resolution, but not as good as inkjets. If that s what you re really set on then it will probably be best if you do some searching on your own for one that fits your need. Try using Google and search for inkjet banner printers. What you need to look for are printers with banner capability. These were much more common in the 1990 s but I don t know what s out there currently. I ve included a link to a site that lists several printers that have banner capability though it is somewhat dated (2004). Best of luck.

Dot matrix printers are the only ones (now more or less a thing of the past) which use continuous paper and have the sprockets by which you fit the holes of the paper onto. The only way to achieve what you want using a conventional inkjet is (though you don t say what program you are using) to set the page size within the program to your desired size (probably a custom(. though 5m is asking a bit much! Another way round this of course is to print off on a fax roll!

What you want is a dot matrix printer which are ideal for this sort of job. There are still plenty of them around doing exactly this sort of task. Here s one place that sells several - http://www.superwarehouse.com/dot_matrix… I haven t used this company but it gives an idea of what s around. There are continuous paper feed inkjets but they don t usually use the full width of the paper.

dot matrix printers can help you to continous printing.

Can anyone suggest a economical photo printer that prints good photos? -

Hello, I need to be able to print photographs on a regular basis? I don t want one that starts to bleed halfway through the cartridge. Please answer with the make and model of your recommendation. Please only answer if you have experience using one high volume. Thanks!

Go to Epson.com and buy direct from Epson. Great exchange warranty, great printers and cheap too. Then Get a CISS for your printer. It will save you TONS of MONEY, never change a cartridge again and it will pay for itself in a month. http://www.inkproducts.com/ink-store/

after my experience canon is the only choice for photos and a lot of works take my advice i know what i am talking you will ask canon what version take it from me once ask for the last now its the best printer. i plot a lot my work is interior design you see why i am talking from a big mouth.

Get a Photo Printer and a copy machine all-in-one from HP...their Photosmart C5180 All-In-One. I ve got one and it s terrific!!! Of course, Hewlett-Packard (HP) is far more advanced in computer technology/cameras/computers/printers than others. But here s the latest printer/copier and they ve made lots of improvements. Drop down to the F4400....and others on that page. click on this: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/… then click on the blue line describing each one. Lexmarks, Canons, etc. have good products, and yet prices are similar, but they will lack a copier. And they will lack the feature to read directly from your digital camera s memory card....there is no need to hook-up cables from the digital camera to a printer. HP is an All-In-One! .

Epson Stylus 760 It can be hacked to allow continuous inking so you can buy ink in bulk. This will save you a lot of $$$ http://eddiem.com/photo/CIS/cis.htm http://lifehacker.com/5310563/turn-your-…

Hello A LexMark 3300 Series or 2300 Series is one of the best and does great photo come with How To, Troubleshooting ,Maintenance,Contact Information And Advanced and is Cheap. Gemini

Epson Printers are great for photos and at a very good price~

How do I get my printer to print in black? -

I have color cartridge and a black cartridge, but i can t change to print in black. It always prints in color. I don t know how to access properties as was suggested in previous answer.

Go to printer settings then select only black and white colors.

Usually, when you press Print a window comes up. Before pressing the Print button, look for the Print Properties button. The black-and-white function should be there. Tech support is easier in person. Maybe you know someone? Or Geek Squad (no joke) at Best Buy is a great place to go, because they can show you while you re there.

when u print go to properties, and click on black and white

How do I get my wireless HP printer to work with my Playstation 3? -

I have a HP C4599 Printer. Although this printer has built in wireless and seems to work flawlessly with my PC, it won t work with my ps3. Any ideas?

That s because the PS3 does NOT have drivers for the printer built in. I believe the PS3 can print, but only to specific printers.

What solvent is used to clean out ink cartridges for home use? -

I have bought some ink for refilling my printer cartridges but I need to flush them out. What fluid is used to perofrm this task ?

For home purposes, you really can t flush out the cartridges before you refill them. Usually the kit only provides the means and/or instructions to refill with ink. If you want you could try alcohol, but then you would need to make sure it is removed completely from the reservoirs before filling with ink. Not an easy task. If the printheads are clogged up, you can try setting them in a bowl of shallow hot water or alcohol to try and desolve the dried ink from the holes and then wipe them with a lint free cloth, but I never had great success with that. Sometimes worked, sometimes not. The lure of refilling cheaply gets everyone, and the results are often mixed. I would recommend buying the cartridges already refilled from a place that gives some kind of satisfaction guarantee in case they don t work well.

How to make handwritten stuff in a print darker when you print it out on paper? -

I don t know how complicated this would be to do but I am wanting to do it. I have a copy of a document that is handwritten and when I try to print it off the handwriting looks to light and it is pretty much illegibale. Is there a way to make it darker and more readable?

As you say hand written then I m assuming that this is a scanned in document? If so, then it should have saved in the My Pictures folder on your computer. If that is case, open it using Microsoft Office Picture Manager and then press, Auto correct on the tool bar which is on the right hand side. Like this: First get up the page you want and press file and then open it. Next highlight the page by clicking on it and press file again. Scroll down to Open With and put cursor on it and then a menu comes up at the side and you need to click on Microsoft Office Picture Manager . When it opens on the toolbar on the right hand side it says, Auto Correct and if you press this it will darken it. If happy with result press the red symbol in corner to close the programme and then press exit and it will then ask if you wish to save the changes and if you liked what you saw press save and if not then don t and it will stay as it is. I would suggest you copy the original file and try the process and print it. That way if it is no good then you still have original to fall back on. You can also repeat the above with the already darkened one if it is still not dark enough. That is the only way I know of how to do it.

What is the name/model number for a really good printer? -

In school and need it for work. Please give links to support your answers. Thanks so much. My current printer is a piece of dung.

Lasers have sharper text and are generally faster than inkjets. While toner cartridges are more expensive than ink, they print more pages, so the cost per page is lower. But you pay more up front. Inkjets are better for photos and cheaper for low volume. Personally, I use both. I have an inkjet for photos, a color laser for high volume color jobs and a black laser for regular text. I use the black laser most often. You can get a good color laser today for $80! Samsung CLP-300 at http://www.staples.com/office/supplies/p… I have this printer and it s really nice. Toner cartridges are more expensive then inkjet cartridges ($70 for a set of 4 at http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp ) but they last for about 2,000 pages. It does a nice job on photos, but an inkjet is still better for this. Inkjet: As someone who was in the computer hardware business for years (though I rarely sold printers since I couldn t compete with the crazy rebates) I have always recommended Epson. The print quality is excellent, even on plain paper. I have photos I printed on a 640 about ten years ago hanging in my office which still look good, though not as good as the ones from the CX8400 on glossy paper. The warranty is excellent. For a year, Epson will express-ship a replacement and pick up the old one. I had one customer who needed this. He called one afternoon and had the replacement two days later. Another client bought a Canon. It needed two repairs within a few months. Each time it was taken to the repair center, then picked up a few days later. This client runs a specialty printing business and this really hurt. They have since bought an Epson CX5000 and have had no down time since. All name brand ink is expensive, but you can get cheap new replacement cartridges for Epson (not refills which I never recommend) for under $5 at http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp I have been using these for years. The C120 (printer only - no scanner) is on sale at Ritz Camera free after rebate but you must also buy a digital camera. The cheapest is $15. With $7 shipping you pay $22 for printer and camera. It uses 3 colors and 2 of the SAME black cartridge. http://www.cheapstingybargains.com/55740… A set of 5 cartridges are $25 at http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp The CX8400 scanner/copier/printer was on sale at circuitcity.com for $60 with free shipping. It uses the same 3 colors plus one black. The NX400 which uses the same cartridges is on sale at Staples for $75. The RX595 scanner/copier/printer also prints on DVDs. It uses 5 colors plus black and has even higher photo quality. You can get it at Ritz Camera for $45 after rebate (with digital camera) or for $80 after $55 instant rebate. http://www.cheapstingybargains.com/54342…

your printer can for personally using? Or for quot;work group?quot; Month usage and other information is be major. I cannnot anwer again, but other responsed my be the useful.

Hi! I want to purchase a printer for my home utility. Can anybody suggest me one for an affordable price? -

I was planning to for HP Deskjet 3535. How is this ? Please give your suggestions?

There are other costs besides the price of the printer, such as warranty and ink. I recommend Epson cx series scanner/copier/printer (cx7400/cx8400) because of the print quality and the warranty. For a year Epson will express-ship a replacement and pick up the old one. Ink cartridges are expensive, but you can get cheap replacements which work well at http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp These are new cartridges. I do NOT recommend refilled ink cartridges because they are risky and void your warranty. You can find the printers at buy.com, usually in the $60-$70 range BEFORE rebates, if any.

The HP Deskjet series are good. But I got a Cannon PIXMA series and love it. Its also very affordable.

you can buy a hp dekjet 2445D printer i have a 2345D it work great.

How do you stop the print command from an Acer computer? -

I can t find the printer options that will allow me to cancel the documents from printing after I have difficulty with my printer not responding at first. When I get it straightened out then it will print the same document or picture as many times as I have attempted to get it to print but wouldn t initially. This model was bought right before Christmas at Wal-Mart. Model : Aspire 5315-2153

Go to Control Panel gt; Printers and and Faxes , then double click on the printer icon and then go to Document - Cancel . That will cancel the print job(s) in the printer queue. Make sure that you highlight the print job first before you go to cancel . If you don t, then the option to cancel the print job will be disabled on the menu.

Thank you! Hope I ve been of some help to you - :D Report Abuse

And you re very welcome - :D Report Abuse

What is a good all-in-one printer/scanner etc that is economical to run? -

1. That is economical with ink cartridges 2. That allows greyscale printing without accessing the colour cartridge(s) 3. That allows you to use the scanner or copier, without needing ink in the cartridges at all 4. Pretty good quality scanning and fast printing

If you re looking for a reliable all-in-one inkjet with good quality output, a solid warranty and inexpensive ink, look at the Epson workforce or NX series. Right now you can get the workforce 500 fax/copier/scanner/printer with document feeder for $69 delivered at http://www.compsource.com/ttechnote.asp?… The best warranty in the industry. For a year, Epson will express-ship a replacement and pick up the old one. I get cartridges for my Epsons from http://ccs-digital.com for under $3 each which hold 66% more ink than standard cartridges. As for not needing ink in the cartridges or printing without accessing the color, there is a very important reason why you need ink in all the cartridges and why some color is used even when you print black. If you try to bypass these features, you will destroy your printer. Read this for more details http://ccs-digital.com/inkjetcare.asp I have an Epson all-in-one which I use mostly to print in black. I have changed the black cartridge numerous times but not the colors. They are going down very slowly, but they are going down, which is to be expected. Better lose a few cents of ink than the whole printer.

Number 2 is going to be the issue, the only printers which will print without colour are select higher end HP printers, however you will not know if that is an option until the driver is installed. Greyscale printing almost always uses color. No printer will copy without ink. I would be most inclined to say a Canon MP160 - they are last years model however still available and cheap. You can print without ink in your color cartridge, however you will have to put up with constant warnings. It will scan without ink cartridges, however again - constant warnings. It isn t the cheapest to run, however what you are looking for does not really exists. All around the cheapest printer to run is a kodak easy share all in one. You do need both cartridges installed and working to print, scan, or copy. However a set of cartridges only costs $25.

There is an excellent list of top all in one printers toward the bottom of this article: http://www.castleink.com/_a-ComparingAll…

How do I make my printer wireless? -

I have two laptops that are wireless, connected to a wireless router. Is there a good (and perhaps inexpensive) device that I can attach to my printer to make it part of the wireless network?

What you need is a print server. Just plug your printer to this device. Here is one of sample of print server products in amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006G3… You can find other brands beside linksys over there. Watch out whether your os is supported. Hope this help. Good luck.

Yes there is but you have to buy an exact match for your printer. Does your printer have a Lan card installed?

How do you print an A4 booklet with staples in the middle using a PDF document? -

I need to print of loads of past papers from the aqa site and i don t want to waste loads of paper can i have some help plz

Their is an option in Adobe to create A4 documents and numbered accordingly. You indicate double-sided printing ande adobe will ouptud a PDF with what you indicated. The place where you print will look at your pdf and will see how many pages you have and divide by 2. That way, they can tell the printer to print so many pages and they will flip the paper, and print the other side and everything will match.

save it to a flash drive, CD, and take it to your local office supply store, they can print it for you, and staple it all for you. no need to waste any paper. they can print it for just a few dollars.

What is the most environmentally friendly printer? -

I am looking for a printer, but refuse to buy a system where it works out cheaper to dispose of the printer and buy a new one rather than buy inks. Other considerations: I don t mind paying extra for quality and greeness , but has to be a reasonable price (will mostly be used for basic printing) I don t have a desk top PC so I will need to connect the printer to my lap top (wi-fi, USB !!)

Kodak Easy Share all in one. The cartridges are inexpensive and print many pages. You can recycle them at a staples, office depot or other. They are an ink tank so less resources go into the manufacturing and the icing on the cake, they are cheap cartridges.

You could get a network printer or an HP Jetdirect. That would give you freedom in the house to print from wherever or whenever you like with out having to deal with plugging in to the printer. As for printers I would go with HP every time their PCs, laptops and cameras may really suck but they can really make a printer.

Unless you absolutely need photo quality, go with a laser. Lasers have sharper text and are generally faster than inkjets. While toner cartridges are more expensive than ink, they print more pages, so the cost per page is lower. But you pay more up front. Inkjets are better for photos. Personally, I use both. I have an inkjet for photos and a color laser for jobs which don t need absolute photo quality. You can get a good color laser today for $80! Samsung CLP-300 at http://www.staples.com/office/supplies/p… I have this printer and it s really nice. You can find them for $50-$60. Circuit City has the CX8400 for $60 right now. They all have place to stick in digital media cards so you can print photos without a computer. The 8400 has a little screen so you can preview. I have this one and it s great. The RX595 scanner/copier/printer also prints on DVDs. If you can find one of the discontinued versions like the R280/380, you can save some money. They use 5 colors plus black and have high photo quality. It was on sale at Ritz Camera for $45 after rebate with digital camera. They no longer seem to have the printer, though the rebate is good to the end of the month, so maybe they ll get more in. The printer is $130. The cheapest camera is $15 bringing the total to $145. Then there is $100 rebate and free shipping, bringing the final cost to $45. A set of 7 cartridges (1 extra black) is $30 at http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp You might want to call Ritz Camera and see if they re getting more in. I have also seen them on ebay for $50-$60 but you have to be careful. Some of them are without ink. R280 $70 This is very similar to the RX595 and has many good reviews from actual users of the product. It uses the same cartridges as RX595. http://www.staples.com/office/supplies/S… RX595 $99 with free shipping - expires today! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…

How can I print to a print server in vista without a driver? -

I m trying to print to a hawking technologies print server (pn7127p) that my hp laserjet 1300 is on. For some reason, no vista drivers, especially no 64 bit ones. Is there any other way to print to this? I tried the tcp/ip port but it didn t work. any suggestions?

Hi go in the control panel and share your printer. Then go on the other computer and open the printer file, and click on install printer. Tell it that the printer is a network printer and it will present you with a likst. Click on printer list and you should see the printer you are trying to share form the other computer. It will install the drivers automatically and it will work with your applications and print from a remote computer.

What r good websites to print stuff off of to learn braille? -

I thought it would be cool to learn about it and to tell people that i actually know how to wright and read braille!

Personally, I think it d be cooler to be able to use grammar correctly. Braille essentially uses a system of bumps that correlate to numbers and letters. You d have to be able to print off those bumps to know braille correctly. You could just google the Braille alphabet and terms and print off those symbols. I think that would likely be easiest.

What is the best laser printer with the lowest total cost of ownership? -

I would like to find a monochrome laser printer that has a reasonble retail price (hopefully less than $450). More important, though, are the cost of supplies and how often they will need to be replaced. Is there a printer for which you can simply add toner rather than replace drums and cartridges? I would like a printer that is rated for at least 15,000 pages per month. Any suggestions and comparisons will be appreciated!

I prefer hp laser printer i am using and i have no problem you can buy its new version hp laser jet 3055 all in one this is good. speed, performance is also good or if you want some cheap printer than you can by simple printer for more detail see http://www.hp.com

How can I print a photo without any white boarders of empty paper left along the sides and bottom? -

I have a lexmark X 5150 all in one printer and I m trying to print a photo as my cover page for a book I made for a summer school assignment. I m going to have it laminated and binded at Office Max if I can just get this cover right. The printer prints the photo well but in the page setup I can never get the printer to print on the entire sheet of photo paper. Everytime I print the photo it has a white boarder of half an inch of empty space around the sides and the bottom. Do I need to get a special printer or is there a place like Office Max who can print out the photo for me if I take in a CD to them? Please Help! Thank you!

You need a printer that has driver software that allows borderless printing. If available it will be an option in the page setup. Unless a printer is designed for it the ink can get over the edge of the paper and mess up the printer.

You can t boarder less printing is a special feature on a printer. Your printer does not offer that feature.

Have you been adjusting the margins in Page Setup? I am assuming you are working with Microsoft Word. If this is true, go to File-gt;Page Setup and then click on the margins tab. From there you can set the margins of the pages. If you want to eliminate the white on the pages, make sure to set the left, right, top, bottom, and all of the gutter margins to 0.

Try using Paint to streach the picture bigger. Hope this helps!

How can I keep an HP printer from running a test page every time I turn it on? -

I have two HP inkjet printers and they both want to run a test page when I turn them on--which wastes a lot of ink, paper and time. The one I am currently using didn t run a test page except when I put in a new cartridge, but for the last week it wants to run a test every time I turn it on. I can t leave it on all day because I need to conserve power. I want to turn it on just when I need to print.

I think you Clicked Test Page when you set it up alot of Times, So goto your printer in Control Panel and Check if there are any Tasks.

How can i choose between the so many versions of HP inkjet or deskjet printers? ? -

I prefer the 3 in 1 which is under 120$ for home use. Whar are things behind, for this nonstoping semilike versions? Is it the look? the functions and the speeds are nonsensable .

The following link will ask some questions and then provide a Recommendation of an HP Printer. HP Help Choose a Printer URL: http://h30216.www3.hp.com/ASA/Controller… As I see it the difference is the Quality and Durability of the printer you purchase. Generically the more you pay the better. I Hope this Helps!!!

How can I change my printer from offline to online? -

It is a wirelss printer and was working fine until I changed the ink. Now i cannot get the printer to show as being online. It has no colour ink in it if that would make a difference? But a full cartridge of black ink. It is a wireless printer. Can provide more details if needed. Thanks a million xxx

Won t print without the colour cartridge. sorry, you ve got to shell out some more dough. right click the printer icon and choose the use printer online option. If you don t use colour much you might consider buying a printer that only prints in grey-scale.. they are more robust and last longer than the fragile expensive colour printers. I use HP laser jet 1020 for my cafe and its fabulous.

mine wont work with just one cartridge, got to have ink in both cartridges and to change from offline to online when on the internet click on the tools tab and if if says work offline click on this to change it to online and also in your control panel where you find your printers the active printer should be down as ready

If your asking it to print in colour or use the colour combination to print black that could be your problem. Not being sarcastic here but have you actually tried the on button on the printer?

If you can t get it to come back on then maybe something changed with the ip address of the printer. You may have to reinstall it on your computer. Find the disc and reinstall it if you can t get it to work!

Make sure the switch on the back wasn t accidentally pressed? Hope it helped

bang on it repeatedly

turn it on ! or it not connect right try it

How do I stop Epson printer saying quot; Are you absolutely certain you want to risk your life by using other ink?quot; -

I have found an explaination of how to stop the quot;reminder of how dangerous other inks arequot; but it is so vague I can t get it sussed. Can you give me a step by step guide so that I just say PRINT and it does?

It got on my wick at first, but you get used to it. The only way you can turn it off is to disable the program which monitors the ink levels.

Man, unfortunately, you can t. Epson doesn t put those reminders just for fun. You need to remember that isn t good for Epson the fact that your computer uses different inks, so it tries to tell it to you the most it cans. The same happens with Lexmark, HP, Samsung and Kodak, but they make this big posters in which they say: quot;If you buy a ink that is different from the one we say, your life is going to end when a crazy donkey pushes you towards a canyonquot;. And it s true, actually. Bad inks really damage your printer, but not in such a horrible way. But, whatever, they do. Good printers, like the Epsons, are made to work with good cartridges that give you a good print. If you reload a ink, you re already damaging it. So, here s my answer: try to not to buy different inks, unless your printer is very old and useless and you don t want to invest money on it. Otherwise, buy original. Because it can give you a better print, it can give your printer a shinier future and it will stop those horrible warnings about your life in risk due the different ink, that, by the way, can t be stooped. If you don t want to change inks for originals, resign to a 10-minute round of clicking Cancel , No and No, thanks. I will renew later warnings before hitting the Print button. Good luck, and hope to have been useful.

It doesn t matter what ink you put in the cartridge as long as you use photo ink in a photo cartridge, pigmented ink in a pigmented cartridge ect, you can use Lexmark ink in a Canon, or HP ink in a Epson ect, I done that for years and I had no problem. The manufacturer tells you this so you will buy their ink but the printer is not fussy what ink you use.

Usually each program has a list of preference or settings that can be changed if you want it to talk or not. I hate talking printers, my boyfriend has one of those.

No! Now you ve got me worried about your safety! Maybe you should heed this.

what a bossy printer next time it says this too you ask it if it wants to go down the dump it site and show it catalogues of hp printers

How do I get my printer to quit aligning my new ink cartridge? -

I just replaced my old ink cartridge for my hp psc 1350v. I aligned the cartridge after it prompted me to, but every time I turn on my computer it asks me to align it again. Even if I close the box it aligns it anyways. I m sure I have aligned it seven times. Please help!

You should call HP tech support and ask them about this. You might have to get it repaired.

Try unplugging it then plugging it back in.

How do you remove printer ink from your hands? -

I was trying to open an ink cartridge that I haven t used before and in an attempt to remove the orange handle from the back ink dripped on my hands. It s magenta ink. Please help me.

gojo hand cleaner or if you have to upgrade you can some mineral spirits.. The catch is you want a solvent thta will eat the ink but not the skin. That stuff absorbs pretty well as a dye so if those don t work, you re going to have to wait it out.

The inks are water based, so soap and water are the answer. Sometimes good old WD40 will work at disolving things quickly, as will acetone, ether and other nasty things.

Soap and water will work.

use ur soap fren. or put some baby oil on the spot and wash it.

How do u print files from a laptop not connected to a printer, to a computer that is connected? -

i have 2 computers. 1 main 1 and another random one. I want to press print on my wireless laptop and then it prints out of the random printer (The random computer has internet access i think) How do u do thiss!!

You need to share your printer, it does not matter if its wireless or not. Go onto control panel find printers and find the printer (this needs to be done on the pc that it is connected to) right click and find share. Then on your laptop you need to add a new printer, there will be an option for adding a local printer or one connected to another computer, select that and it will search for it. Select it and click done. Anymore help please email me:)

is your printer wireless? if not then this is not possible!!! email your files to the computer that is connected to the printer and print it from there. if your printer is wireless, connect it to your laptop wirelessly.

use wireless net working or use a usb flash.. or you can e mail them 2

How can I find a printer compatible with my old computer? -

I have an 8 year old computer - this was even before USB. A few months ago my HP Deskjet 600C gave up the ghost and I ve been attempting to fins a replacement. When I go to electronic stores and ask for a parallel port printer, I just receive incredulous looks and the comment that they aren t being made any longer. All the new printers require USB connections and at least 256 MB RAM (mine has 128MB). I can t buy one off the Internet because I don t have a credit card. I also tried Craig s list, but parallel port printers are few in number and the ones I inquired about aren t guaranteed to work. Any suggestions?

Ebay cheap

People scrap these printers as they get new computers. If you buy a new Dell computer it does not even have parallel port! I would try FreeCycle for your area.

Get a USB expansion card. They are dirt cheap, and will open up the world of USB to you. Some also have Firewire ports and memory stick / sd card slots on them if you get a front panel type one. Enjoy !!

If you are in the bay area, e-mail me and I can give directions to a place that has reliable used printers. Just about any major city has printer repair companies that usually have older units they have bought or traded for in upgrades. Check the yellow pages in your area.

What is the better cartridge for photo printing? -

I just got a HP PSC 1510 printer from a friend and I need to replace the cartridges and want to know what is the better one for photos. It takes a 92 (black) 93 (tri-color) or 99 (photo). Now what is in it now is the 93 color and I was wondering if the 99 is that much better then the 93 when printing photos?

93(tri-color) cartridge is for printing photos, but 99 (photo quality) cartridge is for giving a good finishing to photo, so both r important if u want good photo, otherwise u can print photo by removing (99) photo quality cartridge. ........... thanx

Typically, the more colors you have, the better the result. HP PSC 1510 comes with 92 and 93 cartridges. In total there are 4 colors (Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow) If you replace 92 with 99 then you have 6 colors in total. (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Light Cyan, Light Magenta and Light Black). With this condition, the printer could produce better photo results compare with 4 colors. Hope this help.

How do I figure out if this printer will be compatible with my computer? -

My grandparents are thinking of giving me a HP deskjet Printer 952C, and I have no idea how to figure out if it will be compatible with my computer. I have a Dell Inspiron 6400; how do I figure this out?

It will be compatible. Most USB current printers are compatible with any USB capable computer. You may have to find the drivers for it (if the printer doesn t come with them, though, they usually do). But it will work.

If it uses USB, just plug it in. Drivers, if needed, are available on the HP website.

Your should nt have any problems. Your operating system will load generic drivers if you don t have the installation CD. (or you can download from the internet). Just connect it , start up the computer and follow the instructions.

It doesn t matter what computer you have, it matters what Operating System you have. If you have Windows XP, you should be fine, just go to HP s website to find the driver for it. If you have Vista, well it might not work.

Some older printers have a parallel output connector, not a USB. Check which type the printer has, then check which one your Dell has. USB is a small rectangular connector, parallel is larger, quot;Dquot; shaped with 25 contacts.

How can I install a printer onto my computer without the installation disk? -

I bought a printer and over the years i lost the installation disk and have a new computer now, is there a way around that disk? If so please tell me

what kind of printer add details ill be back

try going to the printer manufacturer s website for the driver BTW: there was someone around here the other night trying to get people to download a virus ... just be careful! _

Kary Wong I think is the one! That person has answered about 30 answers telling people to go to that website. DON T GO TO THAT WEBSITE UNTIL WE KNOW FOR SURE.

You should go to the manufacturers website and look for drivers and find your printer driver and download it to your computer. You should be good to go from there.
