What printer is suitable for continuous printing? -

I want to buy a printer able to print 8.5 inch width continuous paper of say 5m length. Margin should be only at start and end only.Could you please suggest any printer?

I don t know what you re trying to print, but there are some pretty good dot-matrix printers that have fairly good resolution, but not as good as inkjets. If that s what you re really set on then it will probably be best if you do some searching on your own for one that fits your need. Try using Google and search for inkjet banner printers. What you need to look for are printers with banner capability. These were much more common in the 1990 s but I don t know what s out there currently. I ve included a link to a site that lists several printers that have banner capability though it is somewhat dated (2004). Best of luck.

Dot matrix printers are the only ones (now more or less a thing of the past) which use continuous paper and have the sprockets by which you fit the holes of the paper onto. The only way to achieve what you want using a conventional inkjet is (though you don t say what program you are using) to set the page size within the program to your desired size (probably a custom(. though 5m is asking a bit much! Another way round this of course is to print off on a fax roll!

What you want is a dot matrix printer which are ideal for this sort of job. There are still plenty of them around doing exactly this sort of task. Here s one place that sells several - http://www.superwarehouse.com/dot_matrix… I haven t used this company but it gives an idea of what s around. There are continuous paper feed inkjets but they don t usually use the full width of the paper.

dot matrix printers can help you to continous printing.
