Go to ebay, walmart, or target
My ink warning sign pops up Way before it s actually empty. Try it. You can also scan into documents or pictures and print later.
maybe it was out of paper of just a piece of wondergarbage that needed to meet mr steamroller on the nearest interstate by being thrown in front of it maybe??????
Not sure what this has to do with Computers but ok... Did you check for a paper jam? Did you turn the register off and on again?
I have this set-up in my room. You need to have the desktop PC switched on (so that it s actually part of the network) and also allow the printer to be shared. In the printer s preferences (ie: right-click on the printer icon when in the printers section of the control panel), you ll see a tab called sharing. You need to go into this on the desktop machine and enable it. You then need to go to the laptop, go to network settings, and click on the add a printer button - assuming you re using Vista, it should pick up the printer and let you use it. (Edit: Ivan below really needs to update his qualifications, because my printer isn t wireless whatsoever, but I m using it over a wireless network.)
you can only do it if your printer is wireless
Sharing the printer on the desktop works. Be sure both your laptop and desktop have they same workgroup name. However for a reason I haven t determined Windows XP doesn t always want to cooperate. For a more reliable way I recommend purchasing a print server that will plug in to your router (wireless print servers are ok but they are more $$$ and have quirks.) You plug your printer in to the print server and configure both your laptop and your desktop to print to it. You do have to follow the instructions, and an added benfit is you don t need your desktop turned on for your laptop to use the printer. You can look for print servers at places like Best Buy, Compusa, or www.tigerdirect.com and www.newegg.com Because I promise windows has problems cooperating in sharing. Also if you don t have a router already you can buy a router with print server built in. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have questions.
hello, I m sure I don t know everything, however there are two answers that I know of that might help you.. One is that there are chord less printers which might be compatible with you re system, and, there are quot;docking stationsquot; which will work with you re system............Good luck............
Hello, (ANS) You can ONLY send your output or print jobs (i.e.documents) to the printer if the printer is a wireless connected printer. You can now buy wireless printers but ordinary printers connected to another machine wont offer you (Give) you that ability. Kind Regards Ivan computer veteran, MCSE trained.
Switch on files and printer sharing at the desktop. Go to the printer wizard on your laptop and it will find it and install the printer.
Sir Propaganda had the best answer for you. It will be easy for you to do this because you will be running the Network Set up Wizard.
Have you installed the printer, if not follow the prompts in install printer.
Yes.
So the same file being printed on different computers to the same printer give two different color schemes?

you did not specify the printer model. check if you have a menu button on your printer and start by pressing on to it.
I can only tell you it is in the menu I can t remember where
Your printer is grabbing the paper unevenly. Check for a sheet guide in the printer and make sure that it has been moved to be snuff with your paper. Also, some printers have an additional lever under the cover to modify the tension based on the thickness of your paper. Check your printer s manual for information on that. Finally, be sure to check for any jammed paper pieces or other debris that may have fallen in or near the roller.
I believe toner is for copy machines and printer cartriges are for printers.
Like: PC and Mac
Toner cartridges are strictly for machines like laser printers, high volume copy machines, anything that uses that big cartridge and drum. a printer cartridge depends on the type of printer you have; if you have a laser printer, you ll get a toner cartridge. if you have an inkjet printer, you ll get an ink cartridge.
Printer cartridges are for inkjet printers and contain ink that is sprayed onto the paper. Toner is used in laser printers and is a powder which is made of small plastic balls with iron in them to make them conductive so they can be electrostatically moved onto the paper then melted in at high temperature to quot;fusequot; them into the paper.
Toner cartridges, a.k.a. printer cartrides, are used typically in printers and fax machines, anything that is laser technology. Toner is the substance the cartrige holds. In higher-end machines like copiers, you typically speak of just toner. The toner is stored inside a plastic tube generally, and this type of machine uses just a much hotter fuser rather than the drum built into the print cartridge and a fuser built into the machine like the lower-end printers use.
The below low cost options for professional quality printing and the Best Advice unless you like spending good money buying expensive inkjet cartridges, if I were in your shoes I would simply look for an older Hewlett Packard (HP) Laserjet Printer like one from the HP Laserjet 4 or 5 series, HP 2100 or 2200 series etc. however NOTE unfortunately none offer color printing. As you know the print quality for any papers or documents you have to submit is TERRIFIC and all the drivers are still readily availble on-line for download. Like someone else suggest I actually saw some GOOD WORKHORSE HP LASERJET 4 printers on sale for $12.00 on CRAIGLIST which caught me by surprise me...since I personally own like 4 Hewlett Packard black amp; white HP Laserjets that I paid from a free-gift away, $35, $65 and like $1,500 lt;= years ago brand new. Naturally I don t need any more but where I saw it was on my local CRAIGSLIST under the FOR SALE category then COMPUTERS. What happened was Seller bought a huge lot of commercial HP Laserjet printers on few pallets and simply did not have storage. Just be PATIENT if you didn t see any under a wildcard search or maybe POST YOUR OWN CL Inquiry in 2 places under WANTED and COMPUTERS but most likely all you will attract is people dumping inkjet printers. EBAY COMPUTERs might be another Good Buy to find a good laserjet printer, but do yourself a favor and SEARCH BY CLOSEST DISTANCE bec Samp;H will certainly be costly. Also genuine unopened HP toner lasts forever and never dries up, and with patience can be bought for like $25 or more and one toner cartridge can easily last a full year. Hope the Above Info Helps!
Hi, The LEXMARK 5400 series combo printers seem very good value for money and they work with Vista, The combine, Photo Copying, Fax,Scanner and Printing all on the same machine and the ink is cheap as well in the bargain. hope this helps Dr K.I.A.
Im sorry but i dont think it can be done without special inlk
You can t print a mirror off of your printer! You can make a mirror like this... http://www.make-stuff.com/formulas/mirro…
put tinfoil onto a flat surface and use a hairdryer to flatten the wrinkles.
You can buy remanufactured ink cartridges for this particular Dell model. One retailer you may want to check out is http://www.castleink.com/_Dell.html
You d better buy the ink from dell. Which is good for the printer http://www.toboc.com/forum3/default.aspx… http://www.toboc.com/forum3/DEFAULT.ASPX…
It has to be dell ink
It s joined the Rebel alliance and is a traitor.
sounds like its faulty. if its nearly new take it back for a refund and buy a Canon. canons are more reliable and cheaper to run....in my experience
Check the power connection. The cord may be loose or if it has a converter on the cord it may be bad. Try another plug in the wall.
the quot;bestquot; genuine lasser resolution you are likely to find is 600x1200, and to be honest you ll not see much diff from 600x600 Take a sample of what you need to print, as a PDF and GO to a store, ask if they can print your sample to check the quality of a printer you are interested in. Just remember buying a quot;cheapquot; laser is not always a cheap solution, check costs of ALL consumables (Toners and drums if required, some also need a belt every so often) and look at their est life. Then guestimate the cost per page of use. Now repeat process on a more expensive printer, running costs often enough lowewr to offset the extra purchase price after 1 or 2 replacements of consumables.
Please, don t pull your hair out, that will be painfull! Unplug your printer (power your computer OFF if it is a parallel one. Don t have to if it is a USB). Click Start, Control Panel, Printer and faxes (on Widows XP). Remove the Brother Printer if it is installed. Exit. Next plug your parallel printer, turn computer ON, turn printer ON, (If it is a USB, turn computer ON, then printer ON, then plug the USB), it will find new hardware, insert your disk when prompted. Follow instructions.
Try running them as admin, or from a console window with admin privilages. Ensure you have enough disk space to uncompress the files.
Did you uninstall the printer first before installing the software? That might help.
Either you aren t using Lexmark inks, some of which are fitted with a chip, or the drivers for your macbook are mis-identifying the printer or inks. The latter is easy to check - Go to the lexmark website and download the latest drivers for your version of MacOS. If this doesn t cure the problem, take the inks back for replacement. JBV^_^
Some times the cartriges are dried out from sitting around too long. It happened to me amp; I exchanged them--the new ones worked fine.
if the ink is inserted properly then it s probably your printer. how old is it?
It really depends on a lot of variables. The most important one is how much print/pictures are on each page, how much ink is required for the page, the size of the page, size of the ink cartridge (how much ink it ll hold), etc...., also the print quality settings (as mentioned above) determine how much ink is used. A laser color printer would be better for the amount of work you re proposing. Unless you have a business class inkjet, small home inkjets may not have the durability to do your jobs for too long and they may take a considerable amount of time too. Ink cartridges are not cheap. I would think that using the UPS store would be better. You could also check into other places such as Kinko s or your nearby office supply store that has color copying/printing machines/services that may offer cheaper alternatives. You could always try your printer first and see how well it works amp; how long your cartridges last and then due a rough estimate on how much money it s going to cost you to print (include paper costs, ink cartridge costs, your time to find amp; purchase supplies, etc..) Best of luck.
That depends on the printer, the ink cartridge, and the printer settings for print quality. When figuring the cost, don t forget to include the cost of YOUR time!!! For the cost of about 4 packets, you could BUY a Bamp;W laser printer and eliminate the inkjet altogether!! I don t know where YOU live, but around here where I live, copies are from 3 to 5 CENTS a page, including collating and stapleing!!
Yes it can be refilled with this: http://www.inkfilling.com/printer-toner-… or better yet this one that also contains the chip. for less troubles. http://www.inkfilling.com/printer-toner-… Costs 49 bucks probably for several refills. The HP cartridge costs way more!
I think you re referring to the ink cartridges on the deskjet printers that people refill. If you don t want to pay full price for the regular OEM toner cartridges like used for the HP LJ CP1215, all you need to do is buy generic substitutes.
Why bother? It is a pain and can be just as expensive as buying new cartridges in the end.
select all pages and select collate
HP has many different photo value packs I don t know which one you need ?, but there not a bad deal, if you want to save more money ?, you should get a refill kit for your cartridges, then you can refill them yourself and save more Cash, hope that helped and good luck.
don t forget to factor in the cost of ink and maintenance etc. Some printers have lower cost of operation than others. sounds like you will be printing some volume. Also, not familiar with any 12 foot wide printers. If you get past a certain width, they normally use roll stock and would print a much longer banner than that if you wanted.
i think you meant to say 12 feet quot;lengthquot; printer and i recommend HP plotters or the HP DesignJet series
you can see this type of printer only cannon or hp they are the best
Usually if it powers up without any errors and prints correctly and clearly, then you ve installed it correctly. As for the strong electrical burning smell, that s kind of odd. Usually there is a slight smell (or no smell at all) from the fuser when it is heated up, but usually not strong. Did you make sure to remove all the packing material and restraints from the fuser? Since the smell went away quickly and everything is working ok, then you should be fine. The roller won t cause a smell.

#48 (black) is the cartridge that probably came with your printer when you bought it new. The retail one you would buy at the store is #50 (black). The color/tri-color sibling of this cartridge is #19 or #20. I believe #20 is the one you would buy at the store and #19 is the one that comes with a new printer. The cartridges that come with new printers have less ink (they are called short fill ) than the separate ones you buy at the store. They are to get you started. Hope this helps!!
