How do I get the colours and darkness correct on photo printing? -

I have just got a vista laptop. When I print photos from Adobe Lightroom 1.4 the colours are different and is darker than should be. The printer worked ok when I was using xp. Its a Hp printer. has anyone any ideas?

So the same file being printed on different computers to the same printer give two different color schemes?
