What is the differnce between toner and a printer cartrige? -

or are they both the same? and if different, what do each do?

I believe toner is for copy machines and printer cartriges are for printers.

Toner cartridges are strictly for machines like laser printers, high volume copy machines, anything that uses that big cartridge and drum. a printer cartridge depends on the type of printer you have; if you have a laser printer, you ll get a toner cartridge. if you have an inkjet printer, you ll get an ink cartridge.

Toner is used in laser printers and is a powder which is made of small plastic balls with iron in them to make them conductive so they can be electrostatically moved onto the paper then melted in at high temperature to quot;fusequot; them into the paper.
