Why I keep having to reinstall my printer? -

I installed it first time using the software that came with it and there were no problems but periodically when ever it s plugged in the printer says USB Not Connected and the laptop says it needs to be installed. It s been installed about five times because of this. Why is it doing it this?

It could be the drivers or the computers operating system because I have to reinstall my printer alot with my vist computer

well, two possibilities: 1: Windows problem (Re-install windwos) 2: Preinter driver s problem (re-install it too).

How do you print using an EPSON Stylus C43 Series WITHOUT a color ink cartridge? -

I was about to print a grayscale document when the computer alerted me that there was no more ink left in the color cartridge. The only options I had were either to replace the color cartridge (with ink) or stop printing altogether. This was rather annoying since the document I was about to print didn t NEED color. Sorry it doesn t work like that. Even though you wanted to print in Black amp; White it still requites the use of color cartridge. Almost all printers require the use of color cartridges to print even in black amp; white. This means you will need to buy the color to get your printer to work PERIOD.

How to print a picture thats bigger than the paper?? -

I want to print out a picture that is bigger than the printer paper. So I want it to print on 4 seperate pieces of paper, thus when it s done I can put them together to make one big picture. Does anyone know how to do that?

If you have photoshop or a good image editor you can split the image into 4 equal squares (you can enlarge it to the size you want first) then save each as a separate image and print each one out then cut and put them together.

make a copy, then cut it up in 4 pieces. Put each piece by itself into your printer and make it as large as your printer allows. That should do it. Also many printer shops can do that for you, some even have printers in it, so you can do it yourself. Good luck...Hope it turns out just like you wanted.

do you have one cart for M, one for Y, one for C? and one for black? i have 4 carts in my printer and that s how i refill each one. if you put M into a tri-color cart it s hosed. why would you think you could just put one color ink into something holding 3 colors? buy a new cart. you can t refill tri-colors with refill kits

Check your printer settings on your computer to make sure it is not set on draft quality (should set at high or best quality). Also check your printer to make sure that the printer cartridges are installed properly, that all the plastic covering has been removed and that nothing is obstructing the print heads. It means two things. The cartrdige is missing magenta or you ran out of black ink. Replace the black ink if you just need to print in black.

I would say make sure you don t have a color cartridge where the black ink goes.

If your carts are full, do a clean nozzle cycle. It may have to done a few times

I have a Dell D600 Laptop and the network controller has no drivers installed. Code 260. It has a Broadcom 570x integrated controller listed under network adapters. (internal WIFI?) One of the easiest ways to do this is to use automatic driver software with an offline analysis component. It does cost a bit, but might be worth the headache. Where do I extract the printer driver files for a computer? -

I downloaded the printer driver for my HP ColorLaserJet 8550DN. I think I should extract the files to C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\ There is no installer.

What operating system are you using? (I ll assume you re on XP) It doesn t matter where you extract it. Plug in the printer, and when it asks you whether you want to find the driver on the internet select no , then browse to wherever you extracted the driver (should be INF files?), XP will take care of the rest and copy the drivers to the correct location. IT has expired. The ink will dry and separate inside a sealed cartridge.

The cartridge has some ink jets that are dry from being dated. The ink inside may still be good. Use a qtip and some rubbing alcohol ever so lightly and clean the dispensing area. You will be able to remove the dry crusted ink and save your cartridge.

Cyan, magenta, black and yellow are the only colors used. You might need the other 3 colors for full color process printing.

Another thing to try: The ink may have dried out at the orifices. Take a damp / wet paper towel and wipe / scrub the place where the ink comes out of.

I have an HP Printer which is setup to my HP Computer. I am running Windows XP. I also got a Sony Laptop, running Windows Vista. My Sony is using my HP s wireless router (which is a Belkin Wireless Router) to connect to the internet. I use my laptop to type up documents and whatnot. Its a pain to put the documents in my USB Key and to my HP just so I can print. Please help??

On the laptop open the network connections in control panel. Click the add new connection link on the left. In the window, type the name of the other computer that the printer is connected to eg. \\desktop\ and then it should give you the printer option. Make sure that file and print sharing is installed on the one with the printer first. HP s site also has a few added software options for finding a networked printer in their support sections. Open the image you wish to print in Windows Picture Viewer (right click the file gt; open with). Down the bottom there will be a print option. Follow through the wizard, and you ll be away :) Of course software does have added benefits and produce beter results

How can I save an ink cartridge that has been opened? -

I thought the ink cartridge I bought was dry, so I went amp; bought a new one. After checking everything, the problem was with the printer, not with the ink cartridges. Now, everything is fixed, but I have 2 opened ink cartridges: one is in the printer amp; the other one I want to save it (they cost a lot of money to waste it!!!). In order to use the new one, you must peel a kind of tape. I peeled the tape in both cartridges!!!! How can I save one of them, so the ink will no go dry?

first off, if you have had the first cartridge out of the printer unprotected, while you were working with the 2nd cartridge, there is a good chance it won t work any how. however if you want to try to save it, take a damp paper towel, (ring it out completely) put the paper towel and the cartridge in a zipper bag. it does not have to be upside down but there must be moisture in the bag, not water. the moisture keeps the cartridge from drying out completly. if you have it in this bag, keep it in a cool place, and check on it periodically, if you see that the paper towel is drying out, remoisten it. if you still have the blue tape that is preferred, but this method will keep the cart usable for a few months if the towel is not left to dry out.

use a piece of Scotch tape on the bottom of the cartridge where the ink comes out. Store in a sealed, plastic bag upside down and store in a cool, dry place, like a drawer, in temp regulated room of the house

There is no way of knowing how much ink is in it. If your refilling, and you do say what number cartridges, then inject the ink very slowly until the ink comes out of the hole. Once the ink comes out of the fill hole the cartridge is full. Pull back on the syringe until the ink that has come over the top has gone and then it should be full. Hi Get a Hp Printer. They will tract the ink and they install a Toolbox which lets you control the flow of ink , as well as the drying time needed when you print on glossy paper etc.... Its possible that the printer driver is corrupted, if you have the disk that came with your printer, uninstall the old driver and reload.

Check the cable connections, if they re ok then it could be a problem with the cable itself. If it s a usb try taking it out, restarting the pc and pluging it back in and see if new hardware wizard starts. :)
