How do you take a picture from your phone and print it out in color? -

I want to use a pic on my phone of me and a friend for camp so other people can see which room is ours.

If you have text or picture messages, you can just send it to your email. Then, you can right click it and save. Then go to your pictures and it should have it there. Just click print and voila! = )

How do I run both a photo printer and and all-in-one printer on the same computer? -

Just connect them and install their driver software. When you print, you can select which printer to use, you ll probably make the all-in-one your default printer.

when you added the second printer did you specify add a printer?

How do you recycle a printer? -

I saw a program recently and it seemed that printers and computers get sent to India and kids recycle them without any protective gear on dealing with acid. Dont really want this to happen so anyone have any ideas?

Donate it to charity instead

Sell it on ebay, donate it to a charity or join up with your local branch of freecycle and see if someone else can make use of it.

visit the below link to recycling products or printer. http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/globalcitizensh…

Most communities have a recycling center, or there are companies in the recycling business. That is common everywhere these days. Call a local computer store. They usually are a quick way to get info on recycling since they have so much equipment that they are getting rid of all the time. Hope this helps.

take it to your recycling centre

Take mine to the council recycling centre but I don t know what they do with them

It would be rather nice if you would pass it on to one of the children`s orphanages for the children-- would make some nice smiley faces.

What is the best all in one printer under pound;100 ? -

I am looking to replace my HP all in one printer, scanner amp; copier with memory card reader, for something similar though probably not with another HP since I find the ink far too expensive. I m looking to spend no more than £100 unless there is something far more supreme for only a few quid more. Any suggestions?

I have just bought a Kodak 5100 which has all the features you want. The inks are real cheap as well. The combi pack with a black and a color is only £15-99, about the same price as a Canon black. A lot of people go on about compatable inks and how cheap they are, but what they don t say is that they can cause damage to your printer and invalidate your warranty. By the way I bought my Kodak from Argos for just under £60, and I think it is the best one that I have had. By the way it is Vista compatable. Good luck in what ever you decide on.lol

ive got an excellent hp photosmart C4180 all-in-one, its great. cost £49.99 from argos, xxx just realised you put not a hp, sorry xx

Here s a good one at ebuyer.com http://www.ebuyer.com/product/132442 They have a lot of good quality stuff at low prices. I don t work for them, lol, but I have bought a fair amount from them and have no problems. You can look through the other printers they have too.

the cost of any printer is always the cost of replacing the ink, as someone said E-Buyer has some good deals, also Scan Computer can deliver to you a Epson Stylus DX4400/DX4450 All In One Printer/Copier/Scanner 5760x1440dpi for £48.50

Why does my printer print endless sheets of ascii code instead of the file I want printed? -

Sometimes it messes up and it prints two or three lines on each page of ascii code. It continues on until it gets tired. If I unplug it it will still remember when I turn it back on. How do I stop it?

Exactly, sounds like a corrupt printer driver. Uninstall the printer, and reinstall the printer, you may want to check the manufacturer s website for updated drivers, and when reinstalling user the updated drivers.

You ll need to update your printer driver to fix such a problem.

Sounds like sometimes the data going to it gets corrupted (either in your PC s driver, down the communications line to the printer or in the printer itself) and isn t recognised as (probably) postscript... so what prints out is the (probably) postscript code on a printer that isn t interpreting it as postscript. So you re looking at an intermittent driver failure (programs don t do that... often) or you ve got multiple printer definitions some of which are wrong, or you ve got a dodgy printer lead or your printer has an intermittent fault. Some of those are easy to fix... some ar not. Start with the cheapest ones... is there any consistency in what prints or doesn t print right? Ie prints from one program work, prints from another don t. If there is, check your printer definitions. Check (and change if you can) the printer lead. Try a different printer if you have one. If you can. try a different computer and see if the problem stays with the printer or not. It s an intermittent problem so it s going to be tricky to fix. What printer model? Does it have Postscript? To be honest, if it s a cheap printer you may find the easiest fix is to go out and buy a new printer of a new model, with a new printer lead and new driver and install them all in your computer. Give the old printer to some deserving cause (like the kids, the wife, your parents, a charity).

Sounds lke the wrong driver or the driver is corrupt. Uninstall and reinstall the printer. During the reinstall if it asks if you want to keep the current driver, say no, reinstall it. If you need to stop the printer from printing several pages, you need to unplug it from the wall and the computer. Wait a minute or so, reboot the computer in the mean time then reconnect all. That should clear the buffer.

How do I get a memory card thats stuck in my printer card reader out? -

I have a miniSD card that I forgot to put in to its SD card adapter and now it s stuck in the card reader. I can t get any tweezers in there to get it out and I ve tried shaking it out but nothing works. Any ideas?

You might try pushing it in if it s one of those type that pop out like a ballpoint pen does. Perhaps you can get a piece of tape in there using something flat to push it in and then the adhesive would provide enough friction to pull it out. If that still doesn t work, taking it apart may get it out or at least possibly allow access to use a tool to push it out.

bring it to a service center.

I have trouble reading the small blue print on a white background. How do I get larger black print? -

What are you printing from? Or are you reading the printer s screen? If it s on the printer s screen, there s likely nothing you can do. It MIGHT have a setting for larger font, but probably not. Check your manual. If it s from something on your computer, just copy the text and paste it into Word and change the text there.

What are ways to save ink when printing? -

I m a teacher, and I need as many as 600 sheets per day, how can I save ink?

Get yourself a laser printer. With the high volume you have it will be faster, sharper on text and cheaper to operate. I have seen monochrome printers from Brother and HP for $50 after rebate. They re good for about 2500-3000 pages and refills are available on ebay for under $10. Newegg.com has a Samsung color laser for $100 after rebate until 7/20 (which I bought but I can t review it yet since I havent used it. But there are 34 reviews on Newegg s site and 30 of them rate it very good). I also own a Ricoh CL1000 for which I paid under $300. It s a color laser that does 30 pages per minute in 1 color. For each additional color, you have to divide the speed in half. It gets 10,000 pages from the black cartridge and 6500 from the color. The cartridges are easy to refill and refills are available on ebay for $50. I only use an inkjet for printing photos and I use Epson because of the print quality, warranty, and available low-cost compatible cartridges at http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp

always print 1 to 5 pages as at times trying to print in large numbers in go leads to wastage of paper duplication and time consuming try to photocopy in case multiple copies are required use grey scale for black amp; white printing reduce colour printing and need not do it for draft approval fine print option for final prints correct the draft on screen try and use online email fecility to approve drafts

Good day Tips to Save Your Printer Ink Cartridges and Saving Printer Ink. just click here maam/sir 1. http://printerinkcartridges.printcountry… 2. http://www.inkjetdeals.info/printers/sav…

print on draft setting. get a newer printer, newer hp, canon, kodak printers are made to use less ink more efficiently. Print in only greyscale when color is really not needed. depending on the school and age.. make a digital file instead of printing it.

How can I get software to install my printer? -

I lost my installation disk for my Lexmark X6170 printer. I need to install it on my new computer. Does anyone know where I can donwload the software or what I can do?

Lexmark has the driver for your printer here: http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:383:0:0

Most new computer and printers are equipt with a self install. Just turn on your computer, plug in the printer and see if a quot;New Hardware Foundquot; thing pops up. The printer will install it s information from there. Or at least, thats how mine worked when I got my new computer :)

go to Lexmark HomePage and search the model, or go to www.driveguide.com

Go to Lexmark s website and look under the support section for drivers or sofware.

Get in touch with Lexmark, and see if they can get you another disk...I m not sure you can use this software if you don t have the disk...

try downloads.com but then again it s easier to go to the web site of your printer s manufacturer and ak them for that. Usually they have the drivers/installation files for them

go to the lexmark web site and download the drivers for your printer.

How can we log into other peoples PC and use their printer? -

This is what I have always wanted to know. How are we able to control a printer in another computer over the phone? This is to say, the 2 PCs are connected by phone. How can we send a document, eg, a Word Docment, over the phone to the other PC and have it printed by the printer the other side? Of course all these are done legally and with the permission of the printer s owner.

Is the device UPnP? If so, you can connect to it if the two computers are connected with a common LAN system or local line.

Simplest way is to email document to them, with note quot;please printquot;

Send it by fax to their printer

How do I get my Hp Photosmart C4210 series printer off of pause? -

my printer is on pause and i don t know how to get it off!

You should be able to just click on Printers and Faxes and on the left column where it reads printer tasks click on the quot;pause printingquot;, it should resume after that or give you the option to resume printing If all else fails, just delete the printer and then click add (since you already have the drivers installed) it will easily be available in your listing for HP printers.

How to fax file of ms office from pc to a fax no directly without a hard copy? -

can i send a fax from pc directly to a fax bsnl or mtnl landline no without a hard copy of doc. i use to print ms office doc. and fax it . can i send it without printing it . i have all in one HP printer attached by pc.

what you can also do is that if you have the items you want to fax in your computer then you can simple fax via email so you don t have to print anything. You save time and money :) I ve been using internet faxing for over a year and it s great. http://faxfromyourcomputer.com/ has a lot of great reviews of the best services that you can try out free for an entire month. Hope this information helps!

YES you do not need a hard copy to fax it. However you do need to configure the ALL-IN-ONE to accept a document directly from the pc. Since you don t say the model of your all-in-one, I have to give a vague answer by saying Go to the user manual to see how to perform this task.

You can use http://www.GotFreeFax.com to fax your Word Doc file online.

How do I get my laptop to recognize my printer (wirelessly)? -

I went to settings of both my desktop which is hooked up to the printer and my laptop which is not, and turned file sharing and printing on. Now my laptop recognizes the printer (the name pops up in the printer list) but it always says Offline. It is not offline because I can print things from my desktop. When it says offline and its not, can you pinpoint the area I need to fix? Thanks

You have to connect to the printer. Try logging on to the desktop from your laptop - as though you were getting a file from it.

it might be refering to something else thats offline

Hi! i think you have to install it.

How do I print a picture in color? -

It keeps coming out black, white or yellow. I have a colored ink cartridge, so what s wrong?

Make sure you have it set to print in color. I know my printer gives me the option to print in black and white or color. If this doesn t work, then maybe your colored ink is dried up. You may have to change the ink cartridges.

Click on start-gt;printers and faxes find your printer and right click on properties. Click on the print a test page. If it prints in color, your printer can print color. If it doesn t, make sure there is a color management tab. If there isn t, check if the name it has for your printer is correct. If it is not, delete the printer and reinstall it with the proper driver. When you select print, check the options. You may have it set to print black and white.

Your ink isn t almost empty right? Because when an ink cartridge nears empty, or if a certain colour runs out, it simply uses another colour instead.

Is your computer s settings set so it will print in color?

I need help connecting an hp officejet 7410 to my computer running xp? -

I have successfully connected the printer to 2 computers running vista through a router. My computer running xp is connected to the router, and so is the printer. I tried going to quot;printers and faxesquot; and clicking quot;add printer, quot; then I select network printer and browse but all it finds is MSHOME and WORKGROUP that I can t do anything with.

Instead of Network printer, add it as a local printer, then select create a new port, then select standard TCP/IP port. From there you can enter the IP address and name of the printer.

follow the directions http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?…

How do I make my printer stop doing double sided copies? -

I have a canon ImageClass MF6530. Everytime I print or copy something it prints it out like a double sided copy. That means it prints it out then pulls it back in then prints it out again. The reset button doesn t do a thing, the manual is no help, and the double sided button is off. Can someone help me?

throw it on the floor

check your printer driver settings, or the print settings in the application that you are using.

The short answer is that it will be a setting in the software you are using, asnd/or the printer driver and/or on the config panel on the printer. The fact that you say it prints double sided (duplex) for both printing and copying indicates that duplex is a default setting in the machine. Is duplex listed in the index for the device manual? Otherwise search the configuration settings (I am assuming it has a LCd panel that you can use for configuration built intothe machine) To fix it for printing jobs from software, you could also try yoiur equivalent of start-gt; settings-gt; printers -gt;MF6530 and look at the various configuration tabs. One will show duplex or double-sided printing as ticked. Untick it. This should make it the system wide default for anything printed from the computer, but not for copy jobs you do on the printer. Alternatively, before you print something from software, look under printer details in the software. On one of the various option tabs, there will be a ticked field of duplex or double-sided printing, which you should untick. This should at least work for that printing job from that software. It might even be a permanent setting change for that software. Tried googling for manuals online, but no luck When

Is there a printer with a tray that can hold 16X20 inch paper? -

If there is where can I find one and how much is the cost?

Yes there is... Here is a great 24 inch printer. http://www.kqzyfj.com/77104nmvsmu9DACEEE… Here is another one http://www.tkqlhce.com/o9105zw41w3JNMLRP…

Probable large Format printers and the cost would depend on which one you buy. This is a Canon link to them but other manufatures make them as well. http://www.canon.co.uk/for_work/products…

Would printing my own stickers using an average printer look good for stickers on a laptop? -

Ive been making my own designs of stickers for a laptop i want. I have sticker paper (bond and plastic {smooth i guess} texture) and a ink printer. Should i print these myself or in a printing store (if so, would you suggest what kind of store)

Sure they should look good if your printer accepts it. make sure you set the correct dimensions and let it dry.

I have done it myself with photos of work friends on a work folder. I get heaps of cool comments. So do it yourself.

Are you talking about address labels? You have to know how to line them up so each address lands on each precut label on a sheet. I think in a box of blank labels there is a template to practice with. You have to make sure you get indelible ink, cos if you are putting the labels on boxes that are handled a lot, the ink smears and smudges with sweaty fingers touching it. Once you have it perfected, you can put an ad in the local paper and do labels for small businesses at about $5 a sheet and get lots of repeat business. If you do start a business doing labels, so you don t have to get lots of stock in at first, do the smaller labels on the standard large address label and guillotine them, chopping off the white margins.

heck yeah cheap

go to a printing shop i don not know where you live so i cannot give you any shops to go to. Even so you may have to pay, but the end result will look better and you will be happier with it.

I would go with a print store like kinkos or office depot....they have better equipment for printing and your designs would come out looking more professional that if you printed them on an inkjet printer...

Is the power pack for the HP 5510 and HP 5610 compatible with each other? -

I have a HP 5510 printer but a HP 5610 power pack. I dont want to risk burning out the power port with incorrect voltage. Has anyone tried swapping plugs before on these printers?

I suppose what you mean is the power module. Each module will have a part no. Like a combination of letters and nos. I selected US as the country. Selected all-in-one printers then officejet. This is what I found: Part No: 0950-4466 - (OJ 5510) Power module - Input voltage 100-240VAC, 50/60HZ, 1.0A - Output voltage 16-32VDC dual-voltage output, 40 watts - Requires a separate 3-wire AC power cord with C13 connector Part No: Q7310-60003 (OJ5510) Power module - Input voltage 100-240VAC, 50/60HZ, 1.0A - 16/32VDC dual-voltage output, 40 watts - Requires a separate 3-wire AC power cord with C13 connector OJ 5610: Part no: Q7310-60003 Power module - Input voltage 100-240VAC, 50/60HZ, 1.0A - 16/32VDC dual-voltage output, 40 watts - Requires a separate 3-wire AC power cord with C13 connector Therefore I conclude: Q7310-60003 part no. is compatible with both printers! whew!

How do i get my wireless printer to no longer be offline and print? -

I have a lexmark 4530 wireless printer and a macbook air with os x 10.5. I downloaded the driver from lexmark to make it so i could install the printer... it works when i plug it into the usb port, but whenever i try to print wirelessly it says its offline on the computer, but says its fine on the printer... Help!!!

Just a guess since I know nothing about Mac s. Do you need to set the printer up on a wireless printer port in the computer? Does the printer have an option parameter that needs to be set to allow wireless printing? Best of luck.

hey man please if you get this answer i d appreciate it if you let me know. i just got the same computer and have the same printer. same problem. please email me. i d appreciate it.

Anyone know how to get my kodak 5100 printer to work with vista? -

I tried going to the kodak page and doing a driver download there and I only got half way through it before it prompted me to plug it into the USB. And that is as far as it goes..... I even went a bought a new USB cord and it still will not see that it is connected. Does anyone know where I can download this driver from other than the kodak page?

I don t know why you are having problems downloading any of the drivers from the site. But if all else fails you can go to drivers.com and you can find it there for sure. I think they charge for this but it is not much. Hope this helps you. Woody PS Some sites prompt you to plug your USB in too soon wait until the download is complete and then plug it in. I just caught myself before submitting this sorry

The problem may not be with the driver software but in how it tries tohandle the USB ports. I had that problem with something else. Had to do in device manager and remove the entire USB interfaces and then rebuild them one at a time by directing to Windows\System32. Took quite awhile but works great now that it is done. Seems maker had their own software drivers that were not compatible. If all else fails try that.

Bought the 5100 printer. In the directions (a flier) it tells you to go to kodak.com. I found my printer then called tech support. They walked me through the download process. The printer was made in 2006. Before VISTA. Works great now.................................

Can I use a HP Photosmart printer to print on PVC paper? -

I want to make LEGAL id cards for my business, however, before I insert pvc in my printer, I want to make sure it will work properly. Will the paper clog my printer? Also, will the ink rub off? Thanks.

Check your printer s manual to see if it will accept PVC paper. Alternativeley, contact HP support

It depends on what model you have. I would think that PVC would be a challenge with an inkjet as ink can not dry on a none porous surface - which PVC is. Try what the first poster suggested and see if your manual lists PVC down as a printable source for it. If not then I would not risk it as I suspect the ink will rub off as you queried.

If you dont want to risk your printer s life, then ask on n HP forum. They ll answer you the best. Else, just go and try! At most, the paper would get stuck in it, and u ll have to manually get it out

I want to make my printer wireless. I already have a wireless network, how do I do it? -

I have a wireless network, all my laptops in the house are hooked up to the web via wi-fi. I have a printer, and i want to be able to press print on my laptop, and for it to print out all the way in the other room, no usb cords. I recall that there might be some sort of thing you can attach to printers that don t have wi-fi already, but I don t know. You guys are the answerers, you tell me.

Wireless Print Server is what you need. D-Link make a great little one, but CHECK it will work with your printer BEFORE you buy. Some USB printers use non standard communications that make the printer servers fail to operate correctly

Your printer has to have a wireless adapter built in typically.

check see if is wireless or bluetooth spme have that optoin get a dlink or some type of router reader you can go best buy ask the geeks quad there also

buy a wireless print server or adapter.. most wireless products manufacturer carries it. go and lookup the website for your preferred manufacturer. preferably get the same brand as your wireless router.

First of all is your printer wireless? if not it has to be capable.

Where is the best online store to buy Brother Ink cartridges in New Zealand Or Australia for model DCP-165C? -

I do not want to buy refill kits, I want to buy genuine innobella Brother or compatible cartridges. The cartridge models are LC38BK, LC38C, LC38Y, LC38M. Iam looking for better price than Harvey Norman or Dick Smith Electronics. It is for the DCP-145C/165C and MFC-250C/290C printer family s.
