How can I remove the headers and footers showing on a page printed from a browser? -

When I send a document to a printer from my web browser, it always adds a header with the page title and the URL, as well as a footer with the page count and a date/time stamp. How do I stop that from happening? I just want to print a clean page without all the extra stuff.

On the top bar go to File, Page Setup and clear the Header amp; Footer Box Another tip while you are there if you ever have trouble with some of the sides of the page chopped off set your right and left margin to .25 and your top and bottom margin to .5

Sure, just go to quot;file, page set upquot; and then go to quot;margins header /footer.quot; set it to blank. or zero. Easy, and you can change back anytime you like.

you can t do it for many websites! therefor you need save it and push it to word or frontpage for printing!

Is there any place that gives you a discount in exchange for empty ink cartridges? -

I know Officemax use to do that, but now they have the maxperks card... Is there any other stores?

staples will give you a $3 credit for up to 10 empty cartridges a month. That s pretty good considering I pay less than $3 for cartridges in the first place.

Not sure but most ink cartridges can get refilled for under 20.00 at select walgreens stores. Black ink and color ink

How do I reset the Cartridge log for Lexmark? -

I use the refillable 41A and 42A cartridges, works fine except for the nag screen that I have to close every time I print. I can live with the low ink warning but would prefer not to have my printer telling me I have a non genuine cartridge when i don t. Just cheeky enough not to want to pay the killer costs for buying a new cartridge every few weeks.

Refilling does save you money, however you will have to deal with the nag screen. I have never tried this on a lexmark, however on my Canon, simply holding down the quot;resumequot; button for 9 seconds does clear the nag screen. Give it a whirl! However if that fails, sadly there is nothing you can do except deal with the nag.

My printer says that my ink cartridges are running low but I refilled it today? -

How do I make it show that it is full? And I already deep cleaned it if that s suppose to help?

If you refilled the cartridges it will never show as full. The printer will not recognize anything other than genuine new Canon ink or chipped compatibles if you have multi individual cartridges. It will still print but you need to keep an eye on it for when the ink is running out.

Try a printer quot;resetquot;. Here s how: ? Remove ALL cartridges ? Turn off printer ? Unplug the printer from the power source for a full 5 minutes ? Reverse steps. Plug back in, turn on printer and install all cartridges

It s been doing this for a while now. I cannot print anything i want to print. on the printer screen is just keeps showing it wants to do it. when i allow it to afterward it wants to do it again. Please help!

The printer always does this after you install a new cartage. I have the same problem with mine I just ignore it. The printer will still print regardless if you do not print out an the alignement page.

Looks like you got jobs backed up. You need to cancel them Start Settings Printers and faxes Left click the printer icon. Click the word printer Click cancel all documents

I would remove them, one at a time, and reinstall them -MM

What type of paper should I buy if I want to print on both sides? -

I know I need to buy a thicker paper, but what is it called?

you could buy cardstock, which averages 65#. The higher the #, the thicker and heavier weight. Definitely don t get the average 20#. 24# might be OK, but I d atleast get 32# so that the ink won t show through on the other side.

I am a desktop publisher on the side and do lots of printing for clients who want smallish orders via ink jet business printers. I usually get at least 24# paper for 2-sided printing projects, but the weight doesn t always guarantee that it will be opaque for quality 2-sided copies. Go to a good paper store and ask for a sample sheet of a paper you like. Place it on top of another printed sheet and see if the print is visible. If so, the paper isn t suitable for 2-sided printing. If it is opaque, you re in business. If you are planning to print images, such as photos, keep in mind that dense images use a lot of ink, so your paper will absorb more. Use at least a 28# paper if you plan to include photos so they don t cast a shadow on the other side. BTW, you don t have to spend a lot for paper to have what you want, but be aware that most companies who offer the same paper in a variety of colors cannot get around a variation of opacity. Just because one color is opaque, the next color, despite being the same weight, may be fairly transparent. Be sure to check.

(Paper amp; Printing sales for over 25 years) I would contact your local paper distributor...not Office Depot or Kinko s. Call a print shop and ask them who they use. Ask for a laser/inkjet safe 28/70# or 32/80# opaque paper. The opaque paper is designed for double sided printing. It will keep the quot;see throughquot; factor way down. However, if you are printing big deep solids, no paper but cover will eliminate it. GL Ex. Astropaque by Wausau Papers Accent Opaque by International Papers Cougar Opaque by Domtar Papers

i recently had this project in school and we we re making books and i just used construction paper, it really dosen t matter what paper, you just have to make sure it print s out correctly; it took me a lot of tries to figure out how to put it in :/ hope i helped you out. *best answer?

it doesn t have to be thicker.. put it in the printer and there should be a property for double-sided printing... if not, just print the first page.. flip it how ur printer is supposed to and print the second page

Use any kind of paper you want. Depends on what you re printing. If you re doing a brochure use deluxe brochure paper, etc. etc. etc.

How do I transfer pictures from the chip in the slot in my printer to my PC? -

Sometimes when I put the camera chip in the slot in my All-In-One the pictures on it will pop up on my PC; sometimes not. When they do not, how do I get them to come up on my computer face?

You can buy a card reader for your PC that will plug into a USB port and let you plug your camera card into the PC directly. As for doing it via your printer, you d have to read the manual as it would depend on what printer you have.

when ur printer with build in card reader installed, the drivers for card reader too r installed in device manager. So when ur printer dont detect ur card just go to device manager amp; check if card reader is detected is properly.if not than again scan for new device amp; make system forcefully detect card reader.

Try checking the control panel on START and look up quot;Printerquot;

How do you share your printer thats connected with your desktop computer with your laptop? -

I m hooking the laptop and the desktop through the same internet router (not wireless) for the internet. Will this make a difference? Or should I do something else? any suggestions?

http://askbobrankin.com/sharing_a_printe…

you re half way there, all you need to do now is run the network wizard on both your desktop and your laptop, make sure they both are under the same network name, and make sure also to check the box to share your printer on the network this allows you to print from your laptop.....assuming is connected directly to your desktop

What is the best all-in-one wireless printer for a Mac AND a PC? -

I have one MacBook Pro and one Gateway PC and am looking for a hassle free way to print wirelessly and do some heavy-duty scanning by feeding pages into a printer. Any suggestions?

I don t know if it works with mac, but I LOOOOVE my HP Office Jet J6480. Even though I normally advise against HP products. Plus they have the cutest commercials... the ones with the peacocks.

ALL printers function with ALL computers. I prefer Epson All In One s. I use a PC and a Mac with 2 printers, Epson CX9400Fax and Samsung CLP-300 Laser printer. Both printers work well with either computer. Get a CISS for your printer. It will save you TONS of MONEY, never change a cartridge again and it will pay for itself in a month. http://www.inkproducts.com/ink-store/

The Epson workforce 600 for $149. It s a wifi, copier/scanner/fax with ethernet and document feeder. The best warranty in the industry. For two years Epson will fedex a replacement and pick up the old one should you need it. You can get cartridges from http://www.ccs-digital.com for under $3 each which hold about double the ink of standard cartridges. I ve been using them for years. http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/consu…

I suggest you visit this site: http://computersandsupplies.co.cc/Printe… I m sure you`ll find the best deal at lower price

My computer keeps telling me my printer is working offline. How do I change this to online? -

When I try to print something It stores it instead of printing it and says it is offline and when I go to work on-line it says this can t be completed.

Control Panel/Printers, double click on the printer and will open a window. If there s a job undone, first click on the menu Printer, and then quot;cancel all documentsquot;, and then you click quot;Use Print Offlinequot; if its marked, in order to unmark it.

Reinstall your usb drivers for the printer. Also if it did not do it automatically you need to go to your printer setup in control panel and find the printer and set it to your default. The storing is the default windows image storer when there is no printer installed/detected

Start| Control Panel | Printers and Faxes| Find your printer, it will probably say quot;offlinequot; Right click on the printer. Click on quot;Use printer onlinequot;

How do I get ink-jet printing to stick on back of photograph? -

The ink just sits on surface and smears even after drying overnight. Is there something I could spray on paper to make it stick? Will laser ink stick? Photocopy machine ink?

The problem is, ink-jet ink is a fluid which has to quot;sinkquot; into the threads of the paper in order to stay. A photograph is made of a very flat paper with no threads, which cannot absorb ink-jet ink, so there is no way to get something printed on the back. You shouldn t try laser printer or photocopy machine either. They don t use ink, but toner. Toner is a pigmented powder, which gets baked in the laser printer/photocopy machine at very high temperatures. If you put your photograph into a laser printer or a photocopy machine, it will probably get destroyed by the high temperature. What I can suggest is: by some self-adhesive labels which are marked as Ink-jet printable. Print a label, and stick it to the back of the photograph. It will look the best if yot take a label bigger than the photograph and cut it so that it has the same size as the photograph. You can even get colored labels if you wish, they look good and are not expensive.

Ink jet is sprayed on and if the material is really glossy, it won t absorb. Unlike other printing methods, laser printers, where heat is applied to make the ink stick. The only heat bubble/ink jet recieves is to push the ink out of the nozzles. Heat isn t applied to make it stick to paper. An option is, if you can just let it sit there and when the water inside the ink evaporates, the ink will dried enough and stuck itself to the surface, possibly. That s of course if the ink even comes out correctly from the printer.

You need to have the Appropriate paper, OR, use a Photo Cartridge. What you need is a Fuser, if I understand you right. Usually the Fuser is notionally integrated with the Card. But Spraying on a Fuser has been Done, ever since around the age of the Daguerre-type

I used to have a similiar problem with an old epson printer. A work around is to set it the quality to photo, and the paper. It shouldnt matter what type of cartridges you use. Photo cartridges allow for finer detail. You can still print photos with normal ink. I got my old printer to work better, but in the end i sold up and bought a budget canon.....never looked back.

How do I get rid of light streaks on phots printed with a Canon S530D printer? -

See if you can clean the printer rollers. They are inside the unit and you should be able to see them. Hope that helps.

How do I switch my printer to print black and white? -

What do I have to click on to print black and white? (I have a Hewlett Packard Psc 1200 series printer)

Double click on the printer icon near your clock on the bottom right of your desktop. This will bring up a properties menu. Click on the quot;Colorquot; tab and select quot;Print in Grey Scale.quot; Hit OK and you re good to go.

It is a option on your computer go to printer settings.

go to print something then click printing preferences. check black only or greyscale

doesn t matter what type of printer you have they all have that option is always in the properties, if you press ctrl+p

hello Betty iam gopesh let me tell u ur avtar is hot if want to get black a white photo try this out 1.if u have hp smart digital then go to printer setting click greyscale size printing print ur sexy photo if u want me to send u that give me ur id or u can go to photoshop and convert ur image to greyscale in effects and then print ur photo

Go to control panel and then quot;Printers and Faxesquot;. Right click on your printer and select quot;Printing Preferencesquot;. There should be a quality tab where you can select black and white.

Not all printers can do this but if yours can it will be in Printer Properties under default settings and will say something like print with only black cartridge.

np pro at all if copying black copy or write and do only in black or u could take out the colored cartridge

What can I do with empty ink jet cartridges? -

I have several Epson and HP printer cartridges that are just taking up space in my desk. I don t want to refill them. I buy new when my printer is low on ink. Any ideas?

Check with organizations around like churches, community theaters, etc. Many of them collect empties and quot;recyclequot; them for $2-3 each. My church s children department raises a couple hundred dollars a month this way that is used to support children in an orphange school in Honduras. (A couple from our church runs the school). Do something good for someone - especially as it won t cost you anything.

Go to the post office, they have prepaid envelopes to send the cartridges in for recycling. Take them to Staples, you will get a credit towards your next ink purchase.

Get some super glue and you can make some interesting things. Wall, robot, desk

Take them to any office supply store to recycle them. or if someone is collecting used ink cartridges to recycle them give them to the person.

You can recycle them. In fact, some stores give you a couple bucks off your new ones when you bring in your empties. Check with your local Staples or a store like that.

I know HP takes them back for recycling. Epson probably does, too. Suggest you look at their websites for instructions on returning them. Or.......you might try taking them to a store like OfficeMax to see if they have a recycling program.

take them to staples and you will get some$ on your new one

How can we reduce the noise of HP 4515 printer operation? -

We have started getting these printers and when we put them in small offices they are noticeably noisy - an quot;quiet modequot; or similar settings?

Unfortunately, No, there is no quot;quietquot; mode available on these. Keep in mind that this is a high speed 62 page per minute laser printer. The faster printers get, the more noise they are likely to produce. Combined with the fact that these are very compact printers printing at a very fast speed, the case being plastic and there is basically no sound deadening material inside, these printers will produce more sound compared to a slower machine. I think these are expected to be used in high volume offices that have printer/copy rooms, or where noise is not much of an issue and they are isolated away from offices and users. There is really no easy and aesthetic way to quiet these in a small office environment that you ve described without enclosing them in an acoustic enclosure (which reduces accessibility and potential cooling problems) or in a separate room. Best of luck.

do see that printer head moving bar lubricated correctly.

How do I convert voltage input from 220 v to 110 v on my Samsung CLP-300 laser printer? -

I bought the printer in Asia but am now in Canada. I could not find a voltage input switch.

Only solution is to buy a converter transformer from 220volt 50HZ to 110V 60HZ. Ask an electric shop in your area or search online with phrase quot;converter transformerquot;

I took a British made DVD Player (240 volts) to Jamaica (110 volts) and used it successfully using the correct voltage converter I had bought before leaving UK.

Roughly how many black amp; white copies would you get from a HP LaserJet P1005 printer cartridge? -

I have just bought this laserjet printer for £56.00 and I am very impressed as to the speed and quality so far.

You get about 700 pages with the cartridge that comes with the unit. Standard carts yeild about 1500 pages and I believe higher capacity toner carts are available...

How will I install my epsonc41ux printer without my cd just using internet connections? -

Is it advisable to plug the computer printer all the time, or should I unplug it after every use? -

In offices, computer printers are plugged 24 hrs. a day everyday. How about printers used at home? What is advantageous to the unit, continuous plugging, or just plug it when needed?

If you want to be ready to print any time, you can leave it plugged in. If you are more interested in saving energy, most printers consume a watt or two even when they are turned off. You can unplug the printer or plug it into a switched outlet strip.

There is no reason to unplug the printer, especially if it has an on/off switch. Most modern printers have this button. If it doesn t then by all means, but windows will take some time to find the new hardware.

How can i get the software for a Canon Pixma iP3000 without the disk? -

Is theer anyway to override printing a test page after installing new ink cartridges? -

I have a Lexmark X2500 printer, the scanner is broken and cannot be used. I have just installed new ink cartridges and when i go to print a page it asks me to print a test page. I can print the page, but it then asks me to scan the page to test for alignment. Obviously i cannot do that, so is there anyway to override printing a test page?

does your printer have a menu button? mine is a lexmark and you can make it skip all that if you want.

I want to send a fax to over 100 people and I want to know if there is a way to send it to them all at once. I currently have a Canon Fax-copy-scanner-printer. Can you help me?

To do that you need a software program such as Windows XP Fax or a similar application.

What was the first colour inkjet printer on the market? -

HP and Canon are both claiming to be the first however somebody is lying ,I need a source to show me who marketed the first color inkjet printer.

I like this article because it references Siemens, IBM (which I thought was the first) and Canon (followed quickly by HP) http://www.coldreset.com/modules.php?nam… This one provides names and dates, but also explains the almost simbiotic relationship between Canon and HP http://elsa.berkeley.edu/~bhhall/e124/e1… Specifically colour inkjet.....? This website has Canon s in 1982 http://www.itn.is/vorur/prentarar/canon/… HP s own website says the first colour PaintJet was 1987 http://www.hp.com/oeminkjet/about_TIJ/hi… Canon s own website claims colour printer around 1991 http://www.canon.com/technology/pdf/tech… big file Great question!!!

What is the life expectancy of Iron-on T-Shirt transfers that have yet to be opened? -

I recently won an ebay auction for a sealed package of 40 iron-on t-shirt transfers. However once I received them, the date on the package states they were manufactured in 1998. Are these going to work or should I try to get them returned?

until you use them they should be fine

How do you make a picture cover the whole page when you print it? -

I m doing something for one of my relatives (a cake decorator) and she wants some paper that has a cloud picture covering the printed out page, but every time I print it out, or hit the quot;print previewquot; button, it doesn t cover the whole page, even when I stretched it to its limits.

Set to print and then press next. At the end there will be a page layout selection menu of the left had side. Set it to full page and this should fill the page with just the smallest of an edge. You can then print the picture up to A4.

you have to adjust the settings in printer properties. please note it will only print to the very edge on some kinds of paper. (this will vary depending what printer you have).

How do you tell what printer to buy? -

How do you tell what printer to buy that is compatible with your computer? Also, what is the best anti virus or cleanup software?

Most printers now are USB. If you have USB ports on your computer, you should be set. I use Avast anti-virus, spyware seek and destroy and adaware. They are all free and they all do a good job.

How can you tell when an ink cartridge to a HP 770c is empty? -

Besides that is doesn t print. I just purchased 2 cartridges, (black and color) and it only printed 3 times and then no more! Was I jyped?

have you allowed them to sit unused for an extended period of time (more than 1 month)? if this is the case then the cartridges are dry. You can run a couple print head cleanings to hopefully bring back the print quality. If you purchased a re manufactured or refilled cartridge they could dry in less time as the ink quality is not as good as the HP originals. You were mostly likely not gypped, you probably just don t use the printer frequently.

Wow, I think you were, is it having errors! You could also have a leak?

Try cleaning your print heads. Go into your printers properties and run through the tests it provides and see how things work out. If they are remanufactured cartridges their is a good chance they are duds.

Can anyone recommend a printer for home use? -

I need a new printer - don t need an all-in-one machine, and I d like one that the inks done cost a bomb for. I currently have a canon one and the ink cost way too much. Would like to back to an Epson one which I had previously - does anybody have anything good to say about them? I could spend up to £130. Thanks!

i just bought a epson printer from Comet for 29 pounds, its a 3 in one though, but its very good and quick to print. http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product…

I am not very familiar with the Epson s ink cost, but I can say they have excellent print quality, especially their photo printers. However, I would say stay away from the LEXMARK and DELL printers (Lexmark makes them for Dell). Those have extremely high ink costs. I have seen some where the replacement inks cost as much as the printer did in the first place. Ridiculous!

Try the Kodak Easyshare range of printers. They all use the same type of cartridge which are very cheap, (£15-59 for color and black cartridge combi pack). The quality of print is very good and with both inks at less than half the price of the Canon you can t go wrong.lol

I don t know any printers but if you get your cartridges re-filled instead of buying one it s way cheaper and it might say your out of original ink, but don t worry.

the cheaper the printer the dearer the ink cartridges and visa versa

A laser printer will be your best bet, It is much more economical to operate on a page to page basis.

I use the Lexmark 3 in 1 at home, it s a scanner/photo copier amp; printer, It s a good all round printer, i ve had it for 3 years amp; not had ONE problem at all!

Epson Stylus Photo R360.

Dell!!! XD
