What type of paper should I buy if I want to print on both sides? -

I know I need to buy a thicker paper, but what is it called?

you could buy cardstock, which averages 65#. The higher the #, the thicker and heavier weight. Definitely don t get the average 20#. 24# might be OK, but I d atleast get 32# so that the ink won t show through on the other side.

I am a desktop publisher on the side and do lots of printing for clients who want smallish orders via ink jet business printers. I usually get at least 24# paper for 2-sided printing projects, but the weight doesn t always guarantee that it will be opaque for quality 2-sided copies. Go to a good paper store and ask for a sample sheet of a paper you like. Place it on top of another printed sheet and see if the print is visible. If so, the paper isn t suitable for 2-sided printing. If it is opaque, you re in business. If you are planning to print images, such as photos, keep in mind that dense images use a lot of ink, so your paper will absorb more. Use at least a 28# paper if you plan to include photos so they don t cast a shadow on the other side. BTW, you don t have to spend a lot for paper to have what you want, but be aware that most companies who offer the same paper in a variety of colors cannot get around a variation of opacity. Just because one color is opaque, the next color, despite being the same weight, may be fairly transparent. Be sure to check.

(Paper amp; Printing sales for over 25 years) I would contact your local paper distributor...not Office Depot or Kinko s. Call a print shop and ask them who they use. Ask for a laser/inkjet safe 28/70# or 32/80# opaque paper. The opaque paper is designed for double sided printing. It will keep the quot;see throughquot; factor way down. However, if you are printing big deep solids, no paper but cover will eliminate it. GL Ex. Astropaque by Wausau Papers Accent Opaque by International Papers Cougar Opaque by Domtar Papers

i recently had this project in school and we we re making books and i just used construction paper, it really dosen t matter what paper, you just have to make sure it print s out correctly; it took me a lot of tries to figure out how to put it in :/ hope i helped you out. *best answer?

it doesn t have to be thicker.. put it in the printer and there should be a property for double-sided printing... if not, just print the first page.. flip it how ur printer is supposed to and print the second page

Use any kind of paper you want. Depends on what you re printing. If you re doing a brochure use deluxe brochure paper, etc. etc. etc.
