What kind of printer requires no ink? -

I am looking for the type of printer that requires no ink/toner. I remember reading about it a year or so ago and didn t think to write it down. It is some kind of laser that burns the text onto the page. Please help me.

Thermal printers are like that but they require special paper and are not really used in home or general applications.

Like the person above has mentioned. Home printers are not equipped with this technology main reason why. Thermal printers are not practical for home use. Special paper is required and that is costly. Thermal printers are mostly used on devices such as Micros Terminal. The printer that prints the receipt it a thermal printer. Thermal printers are usually used in kitchens for printing out orders. As there is no ink, the, and kitchens can reach temperatures of up to 60degrees in the summer; real ink from a normal printer would leak and basically not work out. Therefore they use thermal ones. Cheers AR

I m not aware of any printer currently available like this. But, years ago there were thermal printers they used no ink BUT, you needed special paper for them They were common on old fax machines. Laser printers will give you the best cost per page printed. Ink jets cost the most per page.

Dell and Xerox both have some types of inkless printers - Just Google quot;Inkless printersquot; as I did and you will find the latest versions -

Thermal printers, however they require special paper. Really there is no way to save.

Can my printer print on overhead projection sheets? -

I have a Brother HL-5140 and I ve search the internet, but cannot find out if this printer will print on the overhead projection quot;paperquot; or if it will melt the plastic sheets. Can anyone with this printer tell me? Or can someone tell me what wording to look for on a list of printer specs that will tell me? Thanks!

you just need to find out if it s an ink jet or a laser printer, and then go buy the specific kind of overhead sheets used for whichever one you own.

Certain printers can do this, but proceed with caution as you can t just use any overheads, you need to buy overheads capable of going through a Laser printer. If you refer to the web site I have provided the answer you want is there

If you have laser compatible transparencies it should not be an issue. If the transfer paper is designed for a laser printer it will not melt in the fuser, as the acetate is formulated with a higher melting point. All you need is LASER compatible transparencies.

In addition to using transparencies designed for laser printers you need to go into the printer properties and tell the printer that you are using transparencies not just paper. It will run the fuser at a cooler temperature so that you do not melt the plastic transparency.

Yes you can print on the plastic sheets. All you have to do is get a good quality Transparency Film. I m using 3M Multipurpose Transparency Film (CG6000). You can find more details from link below.

Can I use photo ink to print on normal paper? -

My mom accidentally got photo ink for my Lexmark printer, instead of the normal one. But I need to print my essay. So is it okay to use this ink for normal paper?

you should also check to make sure the ink cartridge is compatible with your printer model. Just to make sure.

well ya, but its like 3 times as expensive

yes. you can use it but it s more expensive than a normal one.

Absolutely.

Yes you can use it. It is just like regular ink, except it is more expensive.

The pages come out very blurred when printing even with new cartridges? -

For my Brother printer machine, I put in all new ink cartridges. I have printed several pages...and the print is still too blurred and I can barely make out anything. What could be the reason and what can I do to solve this problem?

Start Settings Printers and faxes Right click the printer icon Printer preferences Services Service this device Clean the print cartridges

it could be that there is ink build up and that the heads need cleaned..sometimes you can get cleaning supplies for your printer at a local office supply store or you can call the printer company and they may send you something to clean it.

sounds like you need to do a clean and align through th printer dialog

Where do I take my printer to have it fixed? -

I have an HP printer/scanner/copier and the color ink will not work. I think there was a leak and the ink dried on the spot that spreads it. Is it even worth having this fixed cost wise?

take it wherever you bought it, or you can call a computer guy, or if you have cox plan thingy on your computer just call cox!

It is very rarely worth it to fix a printer these days. You can buy a brand new one for less than the cost of fixing. Right now Epson is having a blowout on the 5-color R280 for $60. It even prints on DVDs. http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/consu… As someone who was in the computer hardware business for years (though I rarely sold printers since I couldn t compete with the crazy rebates) I have always recommended Epson. The print quality is excellent, even on plain paper. I have photos I printed on a 640 about ten years ago hanging in my office which still look good, though not as good as the ones from the CX8400 on glossy paper. The warranty is excellent. For a year, Epson will express-ship a replacement and pick up the old one. I had one customer who needed this. He called one afternoon and had the replacement two days later. Another client bought a Canon. It needed two repairs within a few months. Each time it was taken to the repair center, then picked up a few days later. This client runs a specialty printing business and this really hurt. They have since bought an Epson and have had no down time since. Epson has also made things easier for their customers by standardizing their cartridges. Most of their printers use one of two types. The three-color plus black use T069 (CX5000 CX6000 CX7000 CX7400 CX7450 CX8400 CX9400FAX CX9475Fax NX100 NX105 NX400 Workforce 30/40/500/600 and C120) and the 5-color plus black use T078 (R260 R280 R380 RX580 RX595 and RX680). This means you should be able to find a lot of people who use the same cartridges you do. When it s time to replace the printer, the next model will probably also use the same ones. Though I am quite happy with the results of the CX8400, if you really want the absolute best photo quality, go with one of the 5-color ones like the R280. The biggest complaint about all inkjets is the high cost of ink cartridges. http://ccs-digital.com has cartridges for about $4.50 each. They also have a unique product - a two-piece cartridge where the ink is in a separate tank inside the cartridge. When the ink runs out, you replace just the ink tank and the original chip resets itself to full. By keeping the same chip, you save 1.50 per cartridge. Ink tanks are only $3 and hold 50% more ink than disposable cartridges.

How do I download my printer back to my computer? -

I have gone to all the web sites and none of them will work. I have even been to the lexmark website because it is a lexmark X1240. I do not have the disc and I do not know anyone with the disc. What do I do now?

Take the printer out behind your house and burn it.

If you are running Windows XP then it should auto-detect the printer and install a generic driver for it. You have to delete the current driver, unplug the printer, restart the computer....and when you get back to your desktop plug the printer back in and it should auto-detect itself as i explained. OR ....the quot;Lexmark 1200 Seriesquot; driver works fine for the 1240 model. So download that instead of specifically looking for the quot;1240quot; model driver. Hope it helps and good luck!

http://support.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/sele… use the auto detect feature. if it cannot find one then you may need to update to a newer printer.

How do you connect a printer to a laptop ? -

I m am thinking about getting a Dell laptop, will I be able to connect a printer to the laptop and how? Is it a lot of work?? Thank you please answer, I person that has a laptop or that is intersted in this topic will help an awful lot, thank you

I m using my laptop right now, and no, it is not a lot of work. If the computer you want to get is new, that means it will have vista on it, and vista makes it really easy to install a printer. All you have to do is plug it in, then it will say quot;installing driversquot; and then it will tell you that it is done. If it is a used laptop, you might have to run a printer install wizard, which will be under the control panel. Hope that helps.

You just plug it in and away you go.

most printers these days are USB so all you need do is plug in your printer to your laptop , install the driver and job done

haha, its not a lot of work at all. its just one wire. plug from your printer to the laptop.

well if the laptop you want have window vista you have to buy a printer that can be use with window vista because some printers dont connect with window vista so you must ask in the shop a employe for help.

If your printer connects via a USB port, then you will have no problems connecting this printer. If your printer is a combo or all in one unit, the install the drivers first and then just connect the printer. That should do it. I drive my printer with my laptop all the time.

connect it to your USB outlet.. usually located on the side or the back

To conect the printer to the laptop you shuld do it wirelessly. There should be a ethnet button on the printer if there isnt then you probaly cant use the printer from your laptop. I hope i helped good luck.

If you have a printer with a USB connection (most have these days) then it only takes a few minutes to install the software on your laptop and you only have to do it once. Connect the printer, complete the installation and that s all there is to it.

Almost all printers use a USB cable to connect to the computer. You will need to make sure that the printer either comes with one or that you have one. The printer will come with a driver disk. Put that in and run the install before plugging in your printer. The install routine will usually tell you when to plug the printer in. It is fairly simple.

well every printer should come with a cable unless its wireless just plug the cable in and add hardwere thing should come up and instill it that way or it should come with a disk and install it that way. should take about half an hour

Take a usb printer. With a parallel printer u need a parallel usb adapter. (BTW: I print with a wireless printer. Wonderfull!!)

no just use a usb printer cord, most printers come with them. there r also wireless connections but those r a little trickier. and for installation some printers auto-install when u connect them with the cord, but some reqire u to manually install with the cd that it comes with. shouldnt take more than twenty mins if u read the installation manual with the printer

Connecting a printer to a laptop is no different that connecting a printer to a desktop. If you have a parallel printer, connect the printer and then install the install disc and use the Add a Printer feature. If you have a USB printer, follow the install disc directions. Usually you load some software first, then connect the USB cable and finish it up. Hard or easy is a relative answer. A PhD mathmatics major has little trouble doing differential equations; a freshman algebra dropout cannot even get into that class let alone understand the material or pass the course. Having said that, I believe printer install is easy but I am a network engineer.

I printed out a mapquest direction and the print is so small I can barely read it.How do I change it? -

What is the best color printer for home use? Or what is the best brand of printers for in home use? -

I had an epson stylus c60-color. It is good then all of sudden when I turned it on, it started making noises! I took it out and checked it out. It was a little black piece inside that just broke! I don t know how that happened ???!!!! :( So I need a new one now. Looking for a very good quality color printer for printing reports, essays and some pictures. Mostly will be used it for school reports. What is the best brand for a home use printer at a reasonable price---not so very expensive? Thanks a lot! :)

I used HP InkJets for years, until they started making them cheap with poor quality. So I ve switch to Canon. Here s why. 1. Color is awesome. I know professional photographers that swear by the color. 2. The ink is cheapter. Get a model with the three separate colors. You won t waste ink when just one color runs out. 3. Canon inkjet printer pauses for you to change an empty cartridge, then resumes printing. 4. The Canon printers that I have seen, seem very reliable. The paper feeds well, and keeps on working. With the Canon that I am actually using, I ve never had a paper jam, like my old HP would sometimes have. It isn t the cost of the printer that kills you, it s the ink. Go to STAPLES and look for the Canon PIXMA iP4300 Here is what it looks like at NewEgg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as… Good luck and Happy Computing!

I like HPs where the paper lays flat. HPs tend to get a lot more printouts per of ink cartridge than Epson or Cannon and the printers that the paper stands up in tend to feed multiple pages a lot when they get a little old. Best Buy usually has little boxes on the display printers that will print you a test page to look at. The price of the printer is not much compared to the price of the ink you ll use over the years.

I ve had an Epson that got clogged print heads (so never again) and my family has a Lexmark that they don t like. Lots of friends have HP printers and they re pretty reliable. That s what we re buying next time. If you find one you like, be sure to go to www.pricegrabber.com to compare prices. I m giving you a link to HP below, so you can see the different types of printers, but their prices are usually full retail.

Check in the area of the HP and Canon, you can get a low cost HP printer for under $50. All printers will print photos these days. As a word of advice, when buying a printer the most important thing you can do is Price out the consumables. IE the ink. You are looking from the highest capacity cartridge at the lowest price. I personally am a big fan of the HP 56 cartridge and Canon PG-40. Both give you a lot of printers for you money.

I like HP because of the excellent support both on line chat and by telephone. I have not found this with other printers and warranties are good. They come in all price ranges.

hp is best in my opinion and very reliable. qulaity is good in prints also

How can I print from my pc printer when Im using my wireless laptop? -

I want to be able to print documents that are on my laptop from the printer on my pc. The laptop is wireless.

You ll need to set up the printer for quot;sharingquot; ... To share your printer, start with the desktop PC. Click Startgt;gt;Control Panel. Double-click Printers and Faxes. Right-click your printer s icon and select Properties. Select the Sharing tab. Click quot;Share this printer.quot; Under quot;Share name, quot; enter a name that your laptop will use to identify the printer. Under quot;Driversquot;, you have the option to install additional drivers for the printer. If both computers use the same Windows version, ignore this option and click OK. Otherwise, you must add the printer driver that matches your laptop s version of Windows. You can find drivers on your printer s installation disc. If the disc is lost, check for drivers on the printer manufacturer s Web site. You may also find them elsewhere on the Web. Finally, locate the shared printer with your laptop. On the laptop, click Startgt;gt;Control Panel. Double-click quot;Printers and Faxesquot;. Double-click quot;Add Printerquot;. The Add Printer Wizard will start. Under Local or Network Printer, select quot;A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer.quot; Click Next. Under quot;Specify a Printer, quot; select quot;Browse for a printer.quot; Click Next. Under quot;Shared printers, quot; you ll see a listing for your desktop PC. Double-click the listing to reveal the shared printer. Click the printer s icon, then click Next. You ll be prompted to set the printer as your default. Select Yes and click Next. Then click Finish on the next window.

You can share the printer on the pc and then add it on the laptop. It s not too difficult...

How to attach two computers to one printer? -

Is there any way to hook up two computers to the same printer? And I don t mean by using a network, I mean physically connecting them. Is there any kind of splitter or anything else that can do this?

It is called printer switch (switch because many computer connected but only one computer can switch and print). Google for quot;printer switchquot;. hope it help..... PS:- you didn t give more info about printer like whether it has usb or parallel connection...so I could not provide more specific answer. Search for quot;printer switchquot; on internet

yes you can use USB hub, or network hub

No, you d have to use a network. Or just unplug the printer whenever you need it on the other computer

hook one up with a usb and the other with a parallel I did that and they work fine

A printer switch will do the job, but ids not a good answer and they are expensive. I don t see your objection to network printing, and this is the easiest way.

Not Really

need a hub for that

network your computers.. connect it with one pc and fetch the data you want to print from the other pc and then print it dhruv

How do I make my fax machine stop picking up multiple pages? -

When I send a fax on my fax machine, sometimes it feeds more than one page at a time through the automatic feeder. How do I make it QUIT doing that? I never know which page didn t get scanned, so I have to re scan the whole fax.

there can be a LOT of reasons for this problem, this is more the kind of thing you want to ask a handy friend to fix for you at your place in exchange for coffee/pizza, But... a few initial possibilities: - thin paper, some fax machines rely on the paper being a certain thickness thinner sheets can be puled in more than one at a time, for instance, computer paper works fine, but binder paper would double feed. - grimy stop wheel, look at the feed rollers and see if they are dirty or worn out, I could be more specific but it would get confusing without seeing the fax. -hot, humid climate can made sticky paper.

Trust me on this one, OK? pick up the stack of paper before you use your machine and hold it up like you would a sandwich, blow as hard as you can between the paper. This will cause air to get between the sheets of paper and they won t be stuck together for when the machine tries to take one in. Now put it back in the fax machine.

Most of the time it is because you did not fan the paper as you were putting in new. Sometimes it is because the paper has picked up some moisture out of the air and needs replacing. Store unused paper in sealed containers.

The only sure way is to stand next to it and feed it one sheet at a time - but if you re too slow the fax machine might think the fax is over and stop transmitting.

Try a different brand of paper. Sometimes humidity has something to do with it.

Can anyone tell me how to clean the printer head? -

Uggh, I just got picture paper for my pics so I can print them out at home buuut..! Everytime I print them out, there are these white lines on it. The instructions says that I have to clean the printer head but when I try to search on the net on how to do so, it usually talks about a DIFFERENT printer than mines. Can anyone tell me how to clean the printer head? By the way, I have an HP OfficeJet 6210 printer.

Check out the manual for your printer. Page 118 of this PDF file tells how to clean the print cartridges when it shows streaks or white lines.... Good luck

Go to printer preferences and click on service and then you will see a little icon that says quot;cleanquot;

take out the print head. Use some alcohol and cotton swabs and gently wipe the bottom side of the print head. Sometimes you have to disolve the dried ink, so place the print head for 1 hour into 1/4quot; of alcohol.

Use Windex

it looks as though you have an older printer, normally printers have a tool programmed them that cleans the head when you select it. if it doesnt have this, and its not worth getting someone else to do it for you (highly reccomended) then you may have to do it yourself

go 2 staples

Click Control Panel Click Printers And Faxes Right Click On your Printer Click Printing Preferences Click the Utility Tab near the top Click Head Cleaning You should do this every few days. When you re done with that, you can Click Nozzle Check, and give that a try. Also Printer Head Alignment

an UNUSED mascara brush and rubbing alcohol.

Rubbing Alcohol amp; lots of cotton swabs open the printer up amp; start cleaning everything take the ink cartridge out, gently swab the metal on the print cartridge...replace the ink cartridge If it continues, you need a new ink cartridge

Ok, when you go to print instead of hitting print hit properties. IN properties there should be a tab that says either service, maintenance or Tool box. If you don t see it, just keep on flipping through until you find a little box that links you to the HP tool box. When in tool box there should be a clean print cartridges option. Click that. Do this repeatedly until diagnostic page looks good.

dish washer

water

you have to print out a special head cleaning test pattern....check the book that came with your printer or click on your printer icon in programs to locate it.

Buy a new printer. :)

Can someone tell me why Printer ink is so expensive? -

Is there some magical substance in it which is so precious? Seriously printer ink is more expensive than petrol, what the devil is going on.

Printer ink is squeezed from the very rare Printer Octopus, otherwise known as Octopi Inkus. There are only 23 left on the planet and so the ink is a valuable and rare commodity.

I m also miffed at the high price of ink cartriges. The manufacturers seem to lure you in with totally silly prices for the printers, then crucify you with the horrendous cost of replacing the cartridges. You are snookered, as you need the specific type to go with the printer!!! I wish that I had checked out the price of replacement cartriges before I purchased a printer. I wouldn t mind paying a wee bit extra at first for the printer, knowing that the ink would turn out to be cheaper than most, in the future...

at one point it was more expensive than gold by weight or whatever. they make all the money on carts and not the printers.. cheapest is probably still laser printer (toner) , but only black/white.. so if you wanted photos , well you d feed that paper thru a colour printer.. just the pics, no text.. although obv. you need to have 2 printers. but if you print just a lot of text it works out cheaper. Although the use of paper should go down, what with email , the internet , virtual fax etc.

Hi M I agree, I asked the shop assistant that very question, and he didn t know either, its ridiculous to say this, but it s true, it is cheaper to throw out your printer and buy a new one each time, you get the ink included, and printers are cheaper than ink. UGH!!! Be Happy, From. happytiger.

Simple economics companies like Epson, Brother, HP, know for a fact you have 2 choices, but a new printer after the starter cartridges that come with a printer are empty which is not practical or buy more ink. Since they know you need to buy ink they can set the price really high

Ink is made of varieties of dyes, colorings, etc. Maybe that s why they are so expensive, because of all these ingredients just to make a small box of ink. The REAL answer? Who knows? gt;_lt;

Supply and demand. You don t have to buy the manufacturer s ink. You can take your cartridges into alot of different stores and have them refilled or buy remanufactured cartridges. I normally use www.printpal.com or www.inkjetcartridges.com

way to go L D cheered me up laffin since i read it : ) but seriously its like everything else on the market, if you need it they will always charge over the odds for it, if we didnt need it it would be just pennies.

The Market has set a price. If you saw the place I worked in, you would understand the costs involved in producing ink. It s not that profitable.

Probably because the manufacturers of printer ink have a monopoly on the market as they are the sole manufacturers of this official product so naturally they can charge whatever they want.

Buy compatibles, the reason why they re so expensive is because the printer manufacturer makes you think only their branded inks will work.

because Gulfstream private jets and 100 foot yachts are expensive too, but the CEO s of tech companies don t care, they just pass the bill along one ink cartridge at a time.

I think is just onother excuse for the companies to increase prices on anything to do with computers.

its because only some people know how to use the devil wizard magic that is used to extract the ink

Wow! interesting i never noticed =] !

I actually know the real reason but is a closely keep secret so don t tell anyone I told or I will be in trouble! A number of ink manufactures have manages to secure the employ of a group of fairies and unicorns that they uncovered by chance. The ink is filtered through the fairy wings several times as each fairy s wing is of a different thickness. By the time the ink has gone through the fairy s wing of the delicetest nature the ink is then pure enough to be drunk by the unicorns who are then milked. The ink that comes out of them is ready to use and put into cartridges and we then buy it. As you can imagine the fairies take advantage of the ink companies who have no choice but to pay them a huge salary. I did hear that the unicorns almost went on strike over a pay rise but after negotiations they got the money but then that meant the cost had to passed on to us. The manufacture them self make very little from the ink so don t blame them as its the fairies and the unicorn that are taking advantage and fleecing us - the ink manufactures are gutted by how much we have to pay to run their printers! NOW THE REAL REASON They fleece us with ink because they can. Printer don t work without ink and then to justify what they charge they use all sorts of marketing terms to make their ink look like it realy is something that faries produced. These use terms like Durabrite, Fine ink tecnology. All rubbish and just phrases. You also see a lot of post on here that say the original ink want damage your printer as It has special tecnology - they are just repeating what the manufuctures say. I have been refilling printers for 5 years and never have had a problem. My current printer refilling ink is so good a match to the original colours - I have a 5 inks system - that the prints are identical to the original ones I did when I had the original ink which came with the printer when I first bought it. Original cartridges cost £13 each. I refill for 39p each. Those who have had leaks ETC just have no filling skillls, its not that refilling is bad. Everyone I have tought to refill propery has had good results as well. Ink is a rip off - end of!

How does the economic efficiency of a laser printer compare to that of an inkjet printer? -

Is it worth buying buying a laser to replace my inkjet printer, with saving money on ink in mind.

Laser printers are great for printing black text or grayscale graphics quickly and inexpensively. You can always run both an inkjet printer for color and a laser printer for text. That ll save you the most money while allowing you to print any document. Laser printers are quite reliable, more so than an inkjet printer and especially if you don t print for extended periods. To save even more money, try to find a printer that will allow you to use remanufactured toner cartridges. Start looking for older models that have been on the market for at least six months. Make sure you only buy class one remanufactured toner and not just refilled cartridges. They usually carry a pretty good warranty and are guaranteed to work as well or better than OEM cartridges.

Four years and counting. I still use the original cartridge that came with my Brother HL-1435 Laser and I did two years of college, so I m a fairly heavy printer user. Toner doesn t dry out, either. If I need colour prints of photos, i just go to Walmart!!!

How can I connect my new laptop to the internet without unplugging my old computer? -

and also can I unplug my printer from the older computer and use it for the laptop and put it back, or do I have to buy another printer for the laptop? Thanks for advice

you can use the printer with the laptop. you might have to install the printer drivers before you are able to use it though. if you don t have a router nor wireless on your laptop you can buy another Ethernet card for your pc and run a crossover wire to the laptop. You will be able to do internet sharing. or if you don t have a router but have wireless on you laptop, you can buy a wireless AP for your PC. You will be able to do internet sharing. or Just get a router.

set up a small network using your old computer then go wireless with the new one that will allow 2 people to go on the net at one time.

u should make a pair to pair simple network between your computers. your PC with internet service can provide an internet sharing through net cable to your notebook. it s easy, but better to be done by a specialist.

get a crossover cable. or a router (so you can use the internet on your laptop too! set up a simple home office network. share the printer on the old computer. add the network printer on the laptop. it should install the drivers on the other computer.

If you are using cable internet you will need to buy a router in order to have both computers hooked to the internet at the same time. You will need to download the software for your printer to your laptop in order to use it. Then you will be able to hook up your printer to your PC or your laptop whenever needed.

u must have wireless net and GPRS phone to connect to I net from Laptop .yes,if u have a usb socket

Internet question: There are two ways to do this: 1. Get a router, either wireless, or wired. 2. Make one of the computers a router, if your computers are powerful enough. Printer question. No, you do not have to get another printer for the laptop, as long as your printer is a newer printer with USB. You will probably have to install the drivers for the printer, tho, in the laptop. You can do this with the printer CD or go to, say HP s website (if your printer is a HP, ditto for Cannon, etc) and they will probably have the printer drivers for you to download.

get a wireless connection, and yes you can do that with your printer

Can anyone recommend a printer for printing large volume on 80lb stock? -

I would like to find a large format printer that will automatically feed up to 80lb cardstock. I print designs from Adobe CS3 Mastersuite on Mac and PC - so it would need to be compatible with both (which doesn t seem to be a problem with most I have seen - the problem seems to be the cardstock). Any suggestions?

HP Laserjet 9500 will do this from the manual feed tray (10 sheets at a time) up to a legal size if I remember correctly. If you need larger paper, check out the DesignJets which are basically plotters that will do single sheets of almost any thickness and come in varying sizes. Be prepared to spend a lot of money though. Beyond that, if you need multiple copies fast you ll be looking into printing presses such as the kind that Hallmark would use.

How to print the word count on windows vista? -

My teacher needs us to print off the word count screen to prove that its 300 words long. I have windows vista, and i know how to use word count and open it, but I do not know how to print it to prove it to my teacher.

If anything you could simply copy and paste the info beneath the document, and if she doesn t believe you then she can check her self (seriously, how can you cheat yourself out of a 300 word essay) If she doesn t take that and needs more proof (and too lazy herself) you could press the PrtScrn button (should be above your NumPad if you have a desktop keyboard) Other then that I do not know of a feature such as that. I don t know there may be... also what version of word do you have?

Why do I need to replace Epson CX6000 Ink Cartridges when they are still full? -

My epson cx6000 is telling me that I need to replace my cyan cartridge but when I take out the old one it s still full. I never print in color. I always print with black ink to save on cost. Is there a way to bypass this?

If it s been a long time since you replaced the cartridge, the ink in it may have dried up. Once that happens, you need to replace it. The other answer might be what I found here: http://www.pacificink.com/blog/2006/10/1… It appears that this particular ink cartridge model may have quot;a programming error on the chips within the ink cartridges themselvesquot;. Try contacting Epson for a replacement.

well maybe it says that the black ink is drying out not the coulor try putting a new black ink

How many pages of text can you print with HP Deskjet 1470 and HP 22 cartridge? -

HI! I m trying to calculate what is cheaper to print at the uni (cost 5p a page) or buy a printer and print at home. So, if anybody know how many pages (blackamp;white regular text) one can print using one HP 22 cartridge I d be very very thankful!

Depends if you are talking draft mode, regular mode, superfine, etc... Also depends on coverage. Note that an HP 22 cartridge is a Color cartridge. So if you are only plinting black and white, you won t use any of that cartridge. Although HP requires you to have the cartridge in there in order to print. The black cartridge is HP 21. HPs website with this cartridge claims: 175 standard pages. Personally with black print I use a remanufactured cartridge that I refill myself an use until it gives out. It is a LOT cheaper and for black text printing, you can t tell the difference. For color photo printing, I use HP ink cause I can see the difference on the photos.

it will say in the manual and/or goto hp site

My printer is only printing in black and magenta how do I fix it? -

I just put a new tricolor ink cartridge in my HP deskjet 842 and the only colors that it prints is black and magenta. How can I fix it?

Ann darling it looks like you need to clean your printer head and also you need to aligned the heads honey.

http://www.hp.com says: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docum… Suc6!

Very possible is that printhead is clogged. There is a cleaning solution at http://fillserv.com/cic/product.php?prod…

Q1: have you printed a test page??? Q2: did you check the operator s manual, or a web site. Q3: did you install the ink catridges correctly???? These things need to be checked. Chances are, it s in your settings, and you need to go to the troubleshooting section on the website for you printer, or on your PC.

Uh, I agree with Joe_Young, without the honey and darling part........ Go to HP s web site or read your HP manual and help files to find out how to clean amp; align your ink cartridges.

mayb the cartridge was of bad quality , bcoz it does like this when the toner is getting low... check the level of the toner. and check your printer colour settings.

Dunno

the ink cartridges may be defective. or wrong model, also sometime when cartridges get dried out from sitting on the shelf for a long time and they can do exactly that, i have had a few of mine do it.

check to see if your printer uses additional ink cartridges in addition to the new one you installed.....if that doesn t work. maybe your jet ports are clogged. and need to be cleaned out. good luck........

Can I put music on an SD card through a Brother MFC290C printer? -

My computer doesn t have a slot for a card so I need to use my printer. If I can use a Brother MFC290C printer then please tell me how!

Once the printer is hooked up to your computer, check in quot;My Computerquot; for an SD Media Reader external/removable drive. If Windows shows this, it means that the printer can be used as a media card reader and will allow you to transfer files.

Please tell me how to get the paper tray open on the printer, it seems to take fingering it from behind with a screwdriver while using six hands and two hours! This printer sucks!

just open the card in my computer and dropthe files in i think
