How does the economic efficiency of a laser printer compare to that of an inkjet printer? -

Is it worth buying buying a laser to replace my inkjet printer, with saving money on ink in mind.

Laser printers are great for printing black text or grayscale graphics quickly and inexpensively. You can always run both an inkjet printer for color and a laser printer for text. That ll save you the most money while allowing you to print any document. Laser printers are quite reliable, more so than an inkjet printer and especially if you don t print for extended periods. To save even more money, try to find a printer that will allow you to use remanufactured toner cartridges. Start looking for older models that have been on the market for at least six months. Make sure you only buy class one remanufactured toner and not just refilled cartridges. They usually carry a pretty good warranty and are guaranteed to work as well or better than OEM cartridges.

Four years and counting. I still use the original cartridge that came with my Brother HL-1435 Laser and I did two years of college, so I m a fairly heavy printer user. Toner doesn t dry out, either. If I need colour prints of photos, i just go to Walmart!!!
