What type of printing is better for the pro artist? -
Depends entirely on what sort of volumes you need to print. For one of prints, a design jet should be adequate, especially if you invest in a colour calibration tool that lets you scan an colour sample chart, scan it into a PC and calibrate the monitor, then print it and use it to create an ICC profile for the printer to make sure the entire system prints accurate colours. If you plan to print hundreds, then a pro level laser printer such as the Konica Minolts BizHub Pro 6500 or 65HC might be worth looking at, these are BIG machine capable or runs of thousands of copies and can be easily colour calibrated. The 6500 uses standard CMYK technology, the 65HC uses quot;High Chromaquot; toners that give better, bolder colours.
