How high does the print resolution have to be for me to have a decent crisp image? -

I m using both corel photo x2 and photoshop cs4 to create an 8.5quot; x 11quot; image with the resolution of 250 pixels/inch. In corel the text in my image looks smooth but in photoshop a bit pixelated? I m concerned on what it would look like in print/hard copy

In corel, the print and screen drivers are more realistic as to the final ouput. Open the image in corel or whatever, and resample it at 600 dpi. That s it. If it s slightly pixelated, just go under the effect tool in corel and apply a slight smooth or a slight blurr. When you print, use glossy paper and you don t have to choose quot;BESTquot; settings for a crisp output. Just select quot;NORMAL. At 300 dpi, the print should be very nice. If you don t mind wasting ink, then select BEST mode as your final print.
