Can mobile phone usb cables be used for printer connections? -

I have a brand new nokia usb cable DKE-2 that I m never going to need. I have also bought Epson BX300f/TX300f printer that doesn t come with usb cable to connect it to my laptop. But I realise the usb cable that came with my nokia phone looks exactly like what I m supposed to be buying for my printer and I m wondering if I can jut use it, instead of buying another one.

just plug it in and try it . it will do no harm to plug it in and give it a go.

If its a standard USB cable and it fits, it will work. Most of the phone cables are standard USB, if they weren t they would have different plugs. As above, if it fits, I m sure it will work. I use 1 USB cable for a PDA, Mobile phone and a Camera.

A Standard USB cable will be ok HOWEVER - most mobile phone USB cables have a male USB connector on one end (to fit he PC) and a phone connector on the other - which will NOT fit into a Printer. Standard USB cables are dirt cheap so just buy a new one !

When I read your question, I decided to click on it because I was betting it was an HP printer. And sure enough, it is!! I no longer use my HP LaserJet (forget the model number) for that reason. okay you might have to much paper in the printer it happened to me so i took some out and now it works fine

try taking the paper out and fanning the end with you fingers and then put the fanned end in first if that doesnt work then u need to hand feed it like put the stack of paper in and then push the top piece in a little til grabs just the one

I am assuming that you have a wireless router, if your router is next to your printer, get yourself a print server, plug the printer into the print server, and the print server into the router. No need, I assume you are using windows xp, simply share your printer and publish it to the network, install the printer drivers on your brothers computer and have him install your printer on his as a network printer. Much easier than it sounds, go to windows help - printer sharing.

You have everything you need actuallly, Ok go under the printer, then do sharing, then do SHARE THIS PRINTER (you can play with all the other options). On his computer you can search for printer in network (under add printer) OR connect to your computer from his and the printer will be there. I am assuming you are on a windows. Why is there a second black ink tank? -

One is pigment black and the other is dye based black. They both have different functions and pros and cons. I have two blacks in my MP610. The big one is the pigment one and the small one is dye based. And no, the big one will not take over if the smaller one runs out as it is programmed to know which place to take which colour it wants and as such it does not take the next colour available to it it will just not print properly. You are correct that one black is for text and the other is used is designs. The pigment ink is more water resistant than the dye based one which is water based and as such runs when wet. If the printer is set to grayscale, it uses the big one, if it′s set to colour it uses the small one. Assuming you mean in the document feeder, same way up as you do to scan, if unsure, it looks like text UP. Place a paper on it and take a copy, if it works, do same for faxing as they use same scanner

The printed side has to face the glass so the light can hit it and reflect off. If you re using the feeder tray above the glass, the paper has to be turned face up so the mechanism can turn it face down. Hope that helps.

The short answer is no. Apollo went out of business in 2001. Although they use HP cartridges - they are not an HP product and HP does not support them. Go to startgt;control panel and click systems. Go to the hardware tab and click device manager. Look for the device you want to update the driver for and double click it. Uncheck quot;search removable mediaquot; and check quot;include this location in searchquot;. Click the browse button and go to the directory where you saved your new driver. Unplug the USB cable, plug it back in when the HP program tells you to. Then, Double-click on the downloaded HP driver file to install it. Then, just follow the on-screen instructions.

When you click to save a photo, it will show you a quot;defaultquot; Directory it saves the files in. Jus take the time to READ the popup Save Directory path. There are several ways to find you photos. You can click quot;Startquot; and select quot;Searchquot;, choose quot;For files and foldersquot;, select quot;Pitcures, music or videsoquot; and then check the quot;Pictures and Photosquot; box. If you know the names of any of the pictures you can type that info in and run the search. Once you find the photos, make a note of where they are so you can find them in the future.

Do a system restore on your computer back to when it was working correctly

Try going to quot;startquot;, quot;printers and faxesquot; (or go to the control panel) and first highlight and then delete all your printers listed there. Then reboot your computer and go to quot;printers and faxesquot; again and start from scratch to add a printer. Also make sure there isn t a big backup of pending print jobs. If so, delete all the print jobs that are shown qued up (double click the printer icon too see current print status).
