How to face the paper for sending the fax in hp officejet all in one? -

i want to send fax from hp officejet J6400 all in one.but dont know how to face the paper in the tray.the tray in on the top of the printer,is the paper facing words up or down?

Assuming you mean in the document feeder, same way up as you do to scan, if unsure, it looks like text UP. Place a paper on it and take a copy, if it works, do same for faxing as they use same scanner

The printed side has to face the glass so the light can hit it and reflect off. If you re using the feeder tray above the glass, the paper has to be turned face up so the mechanism can turn it face down. Hope that helps.

Surely common sense will tell you to do a trial run by putting a blank piece of paper in with a cross marked on it so you can see which way to put the fax, which I presume is pe-printed, paper.
