How can I get my printer to install properly? -

The computer does the steps and then says that the printer ins t connected, but everything is. The printer was working before and I tried to fax on it and that s when the problem started, any ideas?????

Do a system restore on your computer back to when it was working correctly

Try going to quot;startquot;, quot;printers and faxesquot; (or go to the control panel) and first highlight and then delete all your printers listed there. Then reboot your computer and go to quot;printers and faxesquot; again and start from scratch to add a printer. Also make sure there isn t a big backup of pending print jobs. If so, delete all the print jobs that are shown qued up (double click the printer icon too see current print status).

1) Check the cable connections 2) Delete the printer connection and then re-install it using the CD-rom. Sometimes starting from scratch is easier than figuring out where you went wrong. Good Luck.

If you have gone through all the installation again and still no go, I would suggest that perhaps you cables and or printer are worn,or, put back in the wrong hole, OR, if new hardware, is that the first time you tryed to fax?...need more data..sorry..using the installion disc,etc?

Go to MY COMPUTER, right click, left click management, left click, disk management. Be sure there is a + before Universal Serial Bus. If not reinstall software.
