Anyone know how to refill a lexmark ink cartridge that is refill resistant? -

Until recently, I use to be able to refill the ink cartridges in my printer for many times. The latest cartridges that I have purchased have shut down the printer when I attempt to refill and reuse. Anyone know how to get around this problem?

If your cartridge says Return Program on it, it will not work. We have been trying. You need to get a non-return program cartridge, use it, and then you can refill it.

One trick to try is to not let the ink run out. Refill it when there s still ink left in the cartridge, e.g., when it s 3/4 empty try to refill it then. Report Abuse

You can buy Universal Refill Kits, it s easy to refill the cartridges by following the instructions inside. The box has three bottles inside, the quantity will be enough for you. http://www.123inkcartridges.ca/catalog/s…

How do you solve a printing problem for a Lexmark 4 in one printer? -

My Lexmark three in one printer will only feed one sheet of paper at a time How can I solve this problem

Could be the quality of the paper, too thick, too thin, too shiny, or could be possibly you have a piece of paper jammed in it somewhere, although normally you would get a message up. Have you had any paper jams where you cleared it and the printer started working again, or have you always had the problem. Are your paper feeders pressed right up against the paper? It s really a question of eliminating possibles. As it s printing its nothing to do with not receiving the right messages but its just a sheet feeder problem.

You said it was a 4 in one printer in your title and a 3 in one printer in the text. This is important because you need to know what floor the window needs ot be when you throw the printer out of. Seriously, it can be three things. Some printers have a paper thickness adjustment lever often near the feed tray that needs adjusting. Poor quality paper or the paper path rollers need cleaning. Do not use the cheapest paper you can get. It is often thinner, lighter, tends to tear, and often has paper dust that gums up the sensors and paper pathway. . Also, the acid made in producing that paper eats away at the ink and it will deteriorate over the years. Instead get a paper made for printers, not copiers or some other purpose. Get at least a 16 lb weight, a 20 lb weight is great if you want to impress someone. The brightness number is often an indication of quality, get 90 or above. As far as the pathway, try to vacuum it if it is dusty. Then with the power off, take a cloth with some alcohol and clean the rollers in the pathway.

My Multipass F30 says theres a paper jam when there clearly isnt. How do I deal with that? -

I accidentally left my headphones on top of the printer and when I was printing something out the cable got stuck with the paper. I managed to yank out the cable but now the printer says there is a paper jam when there is nothing there. Hitting the resume button tries to fix the problem but since there isnt any the printer still says there is a paper jam.

Unplug the cable from the computer and unplug the printer itself. Let it sit for a few minutes. Plug everything back in. Then go on your computer and go to the printer software and see if it tells you what s wrong. If it says there is a paper jam, then take a look and open up your printer and see if there is paper stuck in it. if you see some, try to take it out. Hope this helps!

Unplug the printer, even if it means having to reprint whatever it was. Pull the page out, and remove all the paper from the feed tray. Plug it in and try to print something. Because you removed all the paper, the printer should tell you to load more paper. Load more paper. Unplugging it should reset it, but I don t know if it works with your model. I once had the same problem...

you did say yank it out I bet that what you have done is damage the sensor I did this (but with a real paper jam) and had the same problem but my printer was only two months old, so it was changed for a new one.

Why is my printer printing mirrored pages? -

I m trying to use an HP Deskjet 5740 printer over a home network. The printer is connected to a computer running Windows XP Home Edition. The computer I m trying to print from is running Windows Vista Home Premium. After a lot of trouble, I finally succeeded in getting the printer to print documents from the Vista computer, but all of the documents come out quot;mirroredquot;. Everything is printed backwards, as if done in a mirror. I have already made sure that the quot;mirror pagequot; box is unchecked in the preferences. I also tried checking the box in order to quot;mirror the mirrorquot; and get it to print correctly, but no luck. What could be causing this? What can I do to fix it? I should also say that if I hook the printer up to the Vista computer directly, it prints everything perfectly. The problem only surfaces when running over the network.

You ve probably specified the wrong network printer driver. Often there are two versions, one for direct connections and another for network printing. Try unistalling the printer, then reinstall with the network printing version.

Then you should check the settings of your printer through the network. What I mean is check the network settings.

What brand of printer is the cheapest? -

I want to buy a printer this Christmas . But I don t have any idea about the brands and their quality. So can you help me?

If you find a DELL Printer, it s cheap; but the cartridges are EXPENSIVE. So you see, you don t necessarily want a cheap printer... you want cheap cartridges. Look at the Canon Inkjet printers. Here s the deal. Canon is a terrific printer with a good paper feed mechanism. With Canon, the color looks really great, and photos are awesome. They use 5 cartridges instead of two. These are $14 each. You see, when you buy a printer that has a 3-color-in-one cartridge, you THROW AWAY good ink when one color goes empty. With Canon, you only change the empty cartridge. YOU SAVE MONEY on the ink. So RUN off to Staples and get a Canon. Good luck and Happy Computing!

My strongest recommendation is to go to where print cartridges get refilled and ask them about ink capacity. I was getting a refill for my Hewlett Packard 7150 and they told me stick with it because the newer ones held abou 1/3 the ink for the same price on printer cartridges. Some printers are so cheap they almost give them away, but the ink is extremely expensive! I bought an HP 7150 online with shipping included for 16 dollars when mine broke after a few years of great service. The printer I bought used on ebay works great and was recommended highly, I think you oughta consider something like that...

personal experience Canon.

I recommands you to buy HP printer as the rates starts from Rs.2200/-. Please printout a picture of x mas tree first.

The most important issue is the cost of making a print. In the case of the new Kodak printers, this cost is about half of everybody else s. I got one not long ago, and the print quality is just like a photo lab. The replacement ink tanks are much less expensive. I am paying just $10 for the black and $15 for the color. Right now Wal-mart has the model 5100 for just over $100 and that is with full capacity ink tanks and some paper. I got the model 5300 from Best Buys for about $150....same basic printer, more bells and whistles.

EPSON. the ink (compatible) are cheap. original not too bad on price

Try to stick with HP, Epson, or Canon - if you are looking for extra cheap, keep an eye out for rebates from Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. Sometimes you can get printers for free or less than $50 at least. Keep in mind that is typically what they are worth. If you want to print pictures, you may want to get one with 6 colors for extra picture quality.

Printing pages in powerpoint with greyscale or black and white setting comes out blank? -

When I print handouts from powerpoint, I usually adjust it to greyscale or black and white to make sure the colors are correct. Since I did this, the pictures don t print properly. They used to print but now they do not. I m going to try my other printer to see if it s something wrong.

Sounds like you formatted your backgrounds with the pictures instead of inserting the pictures. PowerPoint, unfortunately, is thinking for you and assumes you don t want to see the background. If you have a black and white printer, just set it to print in color and you will see the pictures. If you only have a color printer and you want black+white/grayscale, you can assign each image to print correctly. It s not a complex process, but setting up the tools gets a little deep. Let me know if you are using PowerPoint XP/2003 or 2007 and I can give you instructions (for this, they are drastically different).

Do fax machines accept other than black print? -

I am sending a fax printed in green ink, but the receiving fax machine never acknowledges my fax. Is it because of the ink color?

No, your fax will read green (not a light light green but a dollar bill green will be read fine on most machines). The other machine may not be working properly. Try faxing your document to another machine to check. You will be 100% certain that it is them then. Obviously if the 2nd machine does not receive it the issue is most likely on your end.

I agree and I don t often follow in others footsteps. T is right.

My printer has ink cartridges half full that appear dried up. Is there a way to rewet the ink? -

My printer has not been used in a while, and the printer software says I have plenty of ink. My friend says when they set in the printer for a long time, that the ink can dry up. He also said the ink is water based. Is there a way to rewet the ink without having to buy more ink?

take your cartridge out and get a Paper towel wet it a warm water then drag gently to a wet paper towel to clean the head off, of your ink cartridge. then put it back to your printer. just gave a try maybe it works. because that s what i do and it works for me. and if doesn t work just buy a new one. how simple is that.

Your going to have to buy a new ink cartridge. Also if it has set for a really long time ink can dry up on the print head and possible ruin it.
