How do i print the Midnight Sun partial draft? -

I am a big fan of the books and one day i though it would be so cool if she had a book on Edward prospective. Then no lie two days later I heard she was making one. BUT THEN IT GOT OUT ON THE INTERNET AND SHES NOT FINISHING IT!!! I just want to beable to read it when i want without a computer! Please help! Thanks

I was sooo pissed when I heard about this. I wanted to kill the idiot who leaked it. Anyway, what I did was select all the text and copy it. Then I went to Microsoft Word, pasted it, and then printed it out. However, the draft is kinda long, so make sure you have enough paper and ink for it....

How to I Burn or Print an Image or Photo on a CD? -

Is there any kind of printers that can just print photos and images on CD? Are there any companies out there that do such job?

You can buy CDs or DVDs with a special coating for inkjet printers. The costs ar not much higher than for regular ones. All you need is a printer that supports disk printing. Canon Pixma 4XXX (i.e. 4200) is a good coice. I print any kind of CD/DVD since years. You get labels in photo quality.

Right click over the picture that you want to burn sent it to your cd burner you will get a prompt from your computer that you have files to burn go to your burner that is located in your computer in your start up menu double on the cd burner icon then instruct it to write these files to cd.

You can buy a litescribe DVD RW and with the right disk amp; software installed you can copy your images onto the dvd, check this info http://www.lightscribe.co.uk/

Where is the cheapest to buy dell series 5 ink? -

Dell is just too expensive to buy series 5 (5566amp;5567). Where is an honest inexpensive place to buy this ink from? Everyone uses granny s ink and nobody replaces it. Hum.

I use this website http://www.InkSmile.com/InkCartridge.aspx?sid=7amp;ReferralID=164383 and am quite happy with both the quality and service. Prices run somewhat less than half of regular retail prices.

Whats the best ink jet printer for printing photos? -

I have a printer that does a so-so job of printing photos, but not matter what adjustments I make the end result is not that good. Based on your experience, what ink jet printer would you recommend for really good photos printed on high quality photo paper?

Well how much do you want to spend. I loved all the Epson printers I had so far. I use an Epson Stylus Photo R2400 and love it. You can not tell that the prints are ink jet. For this model you also get archival ink which is real important if you want the pictures to last for a long time.

In my opinion I think HP has one of the best printers. They also have one of the best inks. I say a close second is Epson. Stay away from Lexmark if you want quality. I like HP ink because if it gets clogged you throw away the ink instead of the printer.

Epson Stylus Pro 11880 is the best photo printer ever and print huge paper.. it cost up to15k. Even Epson stylus pro 3800, 4880, 7880, 9880...

What is the best deal on a color printer? -

I work at a clothing company and we need to make a lot of color prints during the week. I am looking for a good deal on a color printer. I want to know the best deal including printer cost and weekly toner cost. Thanks

Being a small business owner, and a web designer as well, I need the ability to scan, copy, print and fax almostly daily. HP Printes do it all! It is also very easy to set up, very easy to use, and functions as an all-in-one business center for our house and business. You can find the best price for HP Printers at hpprinters.us Compare prices, read reviews and ratings for HP Printers

Richard sounds suspiciously like a plant from HP. I was the only answerer who didn t provide a link to a shop or manufacturer. According to Xerox s and HP s own numbers, which I have confirmed with use (HP) to be true within 10%, supplies for the Phaser cost twice as much per page as my HP. Report Abuse

You ll pay big with those HP s. Go another direction, Xerox Color Printer, Phaser 6280 or if you re into green technology go Phaser 8560. I got an 8560 in my office and I love it. 8560 3400 pages of each color cyan, magenta, yellow= $299 6800 pages of black= $99 Estimated cost per page on 20% coverage (brochure): 10.3 cents If you buy it where I did, they ll take the rebate off up front and they ll give you $50 off your next order if you re a first time customer, so you could buy the supplies on your 2nd purchase and get an extra $50 off. http://www.xeroxdirect.com

Since you used the word toner, I suppose you re considering color laser printers. I made a price comparison between several in the $500-$1000 range. Usually, the bigger the cartridge, the better, since the price of a cartridge has mostly to do with things other than the toner. I am very happy with my HP 3600DN CLP I bought a year and a half ago. I occasionally run several hundred prints in a couple days when I have a newsletter to print. Usually, the more you spend on the printer, and this goes especially for ink jets for anyone reading this considering ink jets, the less you spend on ink and toner. Your satisfaction with the printer will have as much to do with the paper you select as with anything else. Thin paper just has a hard time. Get the thickest part-recycled paper you can handle. I will edit my answer if I can find the cost comparison spreadsheet I made before. Don t be like me and forget to purchase the printer via GoodShop, which will give a portion of the price to charity. I bought my printer at Staples, and I could have gone to Staples online via GoodShop, had the thing delivered for free, and also had $10 of their profit go to my favorite charity, all for the same price.

quot;A lot of printsquot; can have several definitions. If your budget allows for a good color laser, that is the way to go. Your output will be faster, text sharper and overall cost per page cheaper. I bought a Samsung CLP300 a year ago for $80 at Staples after $150 rebate. A set of 4 toners was $70 at http://ccs-digital.com but I am still on the original set. I also have a Ricoh CL1000 which is a higher end (I paid $300 for it). The toner cartridges are supposed to last for 6,500-10,000 pages. My black did run out and I bought a refill on ebay for $50. My only complaint is that it s noisy. The cartridges make a banging noise when they change the color. It s rated at about 32 pages per minute in one color. Two colors would be about 16 ppm. All 4 would be 8. You could also go with an inkjet or two if you re looking to save up front costs. If you re looking for a reliable all-in-one inkjet with good quality output, a solid warranty and inexpensive ink, look at the Epson workforce or NX series. The best warranty in the industry. For a year, Epson will express-ship a replacement and pick up the old one. They have also made things easier for their customers by standardizing their cartridges. Most of their printers use one of two types. The three-color plus black use T069 (CX5000 CX6000 CX7000 CX7400 CX7450 CX8400 CX9400FAX CX9475Fax NX100 NX105 NX400 Workforce 30/40/500/600 and C120) and the 5-color plus black use T078 (R260 R280 R380 RX580 RX595 and RX680). I get cartridges for my Epsons from http://ccs-digital.com for under $3 each which hold 50% more ink than standard cartridges.

Ink cartridge in printer to be packed for summer? -

I m going to leave my printer in storage for three months. Do I need to remove the ink cartridges or can I leave them in there? Thanks in advance.

i would assume so. but i am not really a lil computer wiz so idk

While it depends on which printer model you have, the safest bet is to remove them. in fact, to avoid any kind of issue once you start using your printer again, I d suggest you discard the ink cartridges that are currently in there. While you could try to save them by wrapping them in an air tight bag, chances are pretty good that if you have used them at all, they will not last no matter how well you attempt to preserve them in storage. My recommendation is that you buy new ink cartridges once you start using your printer again. otherwise you risk clogging your print heads or worse....

Take them out and put plastic wrap around them. Make sure the jets (if separate from the cartridges) in the printer are clean. It may be (no guarantee -- I ve had it work both ways) when you go to use the old cartridges in the fall they will not have dried out.

If you take the cartridges out and tape them at the top (where you removed a piece of tape originally) and the bottom (where the printer punctured it) and put them in a plastic bag, they might still be useful when you need them. If you leave them in the printer, they will simply clog up and possibly ruin the printer. The bigger problem is that there is residual ink in the heads of the printer. An inkjet left unused for a long time tends to become permanently clogged. There s a good chance it won t work when you return. Your best bet is to leave it plugged in at a friend s house.

You can leave them in. They ll probably be clogged and worthless when you unpack, but there s nothing you can do about that.

What is the best personal laser printer monochrome under $100? -

I need one with very cheap maintenance. I just need to print black and white text.and fast. What is the best?

You can get a good COLOR laser today for $80! Samsung CLP-300 at http://www.staples.com/office/supplies/p… I have this printer and it s really nice. Toner cartridges are more expensive then inkjet cartridges ($70 for a set of 4 at http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp ) but they last for about 2,000 pages. It does a nice job on photos, but an inkjet is still better for this.

Can I use usb printer wirelessly connecting with wireless router? -

I have a micradigital WLAN and Lexmark X5470 printer. Can I use the router as a printer server to get wireless print network. I do not want to use additional printer server. I wouldlbe grateful if any one can give me a solution. Thanks

Your difficulty lies in one question: Just HOW are you going to connect the printer to the router? Your printer has a USB connection... so you need to go from USB to something supported on your router. What kind of connections does your router have? Probably only ethernet, right? Unless you have a router with a built in print server, you ll need SOMETHING to convert the USB to ethernet. In most cases, this would be an additional print server... but you said you did not want to add one. In this case, your only other option is to hook this printer up via USB to a computer (a desktop would be preferable) and then share the printer through the computer over the rest of the network. Here s a good website to show you how: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using… Other than that, unless you have a network-ready printer, you ll need something (print server or computer) to act as the intermediary between the USB printer and the ethernet-only router.

The wireless router is not a print server and will not function as one. If you want the printer to be accessible on the LAN you have these choices: 1. Purchase and install a wired ethernet to USB print server and properly configure it for your printer. Be sure to give it a static LAN IP address. Configure all network pcs (wired or wireless, makes no difference) to use it. 2. Purchase and install a wireless ethernet to USB print server and properly configure it for your printer. Be sure to give it a static LAN IP address. Configure all network pcs (wired or wireless, makes no difference) to use it. This assumes you already have a wirless LAN.

does your printer have a net-work card built in? (printers with this extra cost a lot more) If so use a network cable to connect the printer to your router, follow the set up instructions, as is a little complicated. Without a net-work card in your printer you cant. Unless you buy a new printer or an add-on printer net, work device (cost more than a new printer). You could buy a wi-fi connecting device to plug your printer into, again cost a bit £60 Plus. Cant be done cheaply unless you have the correct hardware installed in your printer. However you can connect the printer to a computer thats always on (desktop is best) and set up a network to this computer.

I looked up the printer it doesn t seem to be capable of printing wirelessly. However I recently purchased a Lexmark X4550 and that is capable of printing wirelessly. I reccomend that one if you are looking for an all in one with wireless capablities. It is between $100-$130.

Most network printers that don t have a computer attached to them have an eithernet connection on them. I think you may have to connect an old computer (something with a good eithernet card but nothing more then that) to the printer to act as the network point for the printer.

No. The Micradigital is not a printer server. If you want to share a printer among several PCs then you can connect the printer (and do the install) on one PC. Then connect from other PCs and print on that printer.

Hi, Yes, If your printer has a wireless port you can connect it. as long the PC Unit connect also.

Install the printer on a computer on the network and share it (file amp; print sharing)

ive got a cordless lexmark but when im on wireless ive still got too put the usb in though if thats a help?

Does the driver for HP LaserJet 1018 for VISTA provide toner depletion detection? -

Well the old drive for Windows XP actually tells you when to change the toner and when the toner is close to running out. The new drive (for vista, not XP) does not seem to do the same thing. This is an issue for me, because how would I know when to change the toner, and when the toner is depleted? Answers are welcomed! The best technical answer gets my 5 points! Woohoo.

I think a clue would be when your pages print in faded black. But I guess with vista you can wait until they come out completely clear. By the way, I bought a toner refill on ebay for $10 which worked perfectly. I had to drill a hole in the cartridge (I actually melted it with a soldiering iron).

I have a network printer, how can i connect it to the existing wireless network? -

I have Sony Vaio laptops with wi-fi technology, Netgear wireless modem router DG834G and Dell 3000CN network printer. I can connect the existing printer to the network through the router using Ethernet cable but I now want to go wireless (for printer), suggest the best possible option with necessary hardware purchase/upgrade if required.

i think you would need to buy a wireless card for your printer.... but not sure which printers offer this facility, you would need to check with the printer manufacuter to see if this was possible!! we are wireless in the house but find because of where the printer sits it s just as easy and cheaper to have it connected through the cable!!

http://bartman1.blogspot.com/ this site has info on wireless

Whats the difference between a magenta cartridge and a yellow cartridge? -

i m stuck on whats cartridge to buy. as i am going university soon, and will be printing of essay etc. with some colour. what is the difference between these two cartridges?

magenta and yellow are two different colours, magenta is more a red /maroon colour, your three primary colours, red yellow and blue, ink cartridges use magenta, yellow and cyan.

its the color of the ink that it uses. You will need to make sure that your printer can print in color. its actually 4 colors that you need in order to print in color, You have your black, magenta, yellow and cyan. You need all of these in order to print in color

the magenta ones prints in magenta and the yellow one prints in yellow...

one has a bit of orange in it go to http://www.inkplustoner.com they deliver free and fast too~ college = every penny counts

Would a cannon IP2600 printer work with a acer extensa 5620z laptop? -

any help would be great cos im not that good with knowing what printer would be best!! i have to get a new printer cos my old printer wouldnt work with my new laptop! thanks for any help you can give!

Biggest thing to look at : 1. Does the printer have drivers for the Operating System you have on your computer? (ie: Windows Vista, XP, etc) 2. What kind of connection would you be using? (USB or Parallel)? Does your laptop support this type of connection? 3. And if you are considering quot;wireless networkingquot; do you have the network card and/or router necessary to do this? Now for your setup--yes they would work together. The Cannon printer is made for Windows Vista (has drivers) and the Acer Laptop has USB ports for connecting. When you purchase the printer, make sure you have a USB printer cable.

Yes the printer will work with the laptop. All you have to do is install the printers drivers. Here s a web site that has the drivers if you don t have them. Just select you operating system and download the drivers. It should work. http://www.canon.ca/product_reg.asp?lng=…

Yes its vista compat

Where can I find a complete online manual for HP photosmart premier? -

I need a manual for HP photosmart premier that will tell me how to do the basic stuff like turn pictures black and white and the more advanced stuff like how to manipulate the picture to clean up the picture and magnify and other more advanced operations.

Check here - http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_…

The best thing might be to go to the HP website and get the information that you need. Also, if you can get on their email list, they will send you all kinds of information. Good luck.

Go to http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/supp… and enter your product number in the box.

Did you try hp.com?

Can i print from a mac to a printer connected to another mac through USB? -

i have two macs and one is connected....how do i print without the use of a router

1. Connect the printer to the computer that its normally going to be plugged into. 2. Add the printer (System Preferences lt; Print amp; Fax) 3. Turn Printer Sharing on (System Preferences lt; Sharing) 4. Connect the slave to the host computer (Ethernet, Ad-Hoc, whatever) 5. On the slave, add the printer (System Preferences lt; Print amp; Fax) 6. Ready to go!

You cant. In order to print something from your computer you need to have the computer connected to the printer on a network with yours. Maybe it s different on mac os but on windows i know you need to setup file and printer sharing on a network.

In Word 2007, how do you print a specific label from a sheet? -

I have label file with several sheets. At times I need to print one of the labels only. If I choose to print page, it prints all the labels in that page. How do I select only 1 label from the page?

One more point in addition to the first answer: if using a laser don t feed the sheet through the printer more than once. The sheet gets heated as it goes through the printer. The adhesive is rated to last this process once but only once. If you print the sheet again labels can come unstuck inside the printer where only a repair engineer will be able to remove them. Therefore, on a laser you really need to print a whole sheet at a time.

Delete the text from the other labels. Only type text in the label you want. The printer will take the whole sheet, but only print the label you typed text into. Hopet that helps.

What type of USB cord do I need for my Epson PctureMate Express? -

Any type of USB cable will do. If the printer and you computer have the new USB 2.0 slots then get the 2.0 USB cable.

How to connect a canon picture printer to a emachine computer? -

I have been trying for the pass week to install and I know is not so hard, but am having trouble with this printer I don t know if it goes with the computer or not. But am sure that it should be fine because my computer has microsoft xp and that printer has that. Is just that am having a hard time installing even with the CD rom that it comes with the printer. Any suggestions

Many printers now say to install the software before making the connection. If you didn t follow such directions, you should uninstall the software and try again. You can usually look on the printer manufacturer s website for later versions of the install software. You didn t give any specific information here. You should say the make and model printer and what you have tried and what happens as a result. Any error messages?

What kind of all in one printer do you have? -

I need a printer, scanner, photo copier, don t care about fax. I want to know about the ease of use and print detail. I need to do quality prints and photo copies for a booklet. I prefer a cannon brand. If you have one what make model and how well you like it. Or if you have a different brand tell me about it. I have a Cannon Pixma ip1600 brand new, and a Cannon bjc2100 old printer.

I had the same cannon 6 years ago. I now have 2 printers the 1st is the HP1205 all in one. its brilliant, easy to use. the other is a epson photo R200 which is good for printing straight on to disc. The print quality on the HP is very good, ink saving in draft mode dosent look much different from the best. hope you found this useful.

epsoncx3810 i can fax through my computer ( no built in modem ) via the scanner, good hi quality photo prints ( 4 color not 6 ), inkwell are small, black runs out pretty quick ( as expected ), price was cheap ( on sale for 70.00 ), software is ok for it, i use 3rd party software for photo mamnagement and use only the drivers for the OS ( Windows 2000 sp4 ), print psed is somewhat slow in best mode ( really slow on photo mode ), if you lower quality for spped gain the results look pretty bad, so basically i always leave it in best mode reagaurdless of what i am printing, i was looking at the canon since my wife has canon photo printer, but at least he epson has seperate inkwells for all the colors.

My older epson 880 was a dream machine for printing but couldn t do anything else. My new HP all-in-one gives me another chance to say the warranty is worthless and I ll never buy HP again.

i use dell products, they work well and the online support is great

do not buy a lexmark x5150 i got mine cheap but ink cartridges are outrageous

hp

I have a Brother DCP-110C and I love it. Its a 4-in-1, a printer, coper, scanner, and Photo Capture. And the Ink is very cheap.

Dell AIO 962. It works great. It does fax though

Why do I keep getting white lines in my printouts? -

Im using an epson dx4200 printer and I keep getting white lines appearing on my printouts even after installing new ink. Ive tried cleaning the heads with the head cleaning utility and ive had a go at realigning the heads but still no luck. I dont know wether im aligning the heads correctly or what. Any tips?

Try cleaning the heads, or alighning the print heads in the printers maintenance screen in options this should fix the problem mate.

Are you cleaning the heads manually, or using the clean option? If using the option I would try cleaning them manually.

What do you mean by white lines? Where is the white coming from, do you mean, it s just not printing at some areas leaving the white paper showing thinly or there is actual white paint being printed? If it s the paper showing, maybe you have dust in your printer?

personaly id uninstall itamp; reinstall it if you,v done all the cleaning .

Are the refill kits for laser printers any good ? What about the smart chips ? -

I have an HP laser printer and paid $155.00 for a new cartridge yesterday and I noticed there are refill kits available for around $40.00 How often doe the replacement smart chips on toner cartridges have to be replaced ?

Well it depends on the size of the toner cartridge, But as a rule you can get a lot of prints for your money. I have a laser right now that I am using and the drum toner is listed at being able to print 12,000 pages, but for some reason I get about 12,500 out of it. Most always it is less than listed but I am happy with the results. I would recommend seeing if they will offer you a rebate for your old cartridge if you turn it in before you buy the new one, That can save you some money. With either ink jet or laser I always recommend buying new cartridges each time you need them and I always suggest buying the manufacturers suggested cartridge. There are some companies who make no name replacement cartridges for printers and guarantee they will work the same and give the same performance, Most always they lack the performance and more often than not you will have a mess with the liquid ink that the ink jet uses and with your laser you will have carbon dust flying around like crazy, And this also happens with refilling them as well unless done by a professional. But really you are better off, especially with a laser printer to just buy a new toner each time you need one and see what kind of rebate they will give you for your old one. Almost all laser printers have a rebate of some sort for the old toner cartridge.

How do I connect (wireless) to a printer? -

I have a laptop and my printer is connected to the computer in the bedroom. Can I set up my laptop to use the printer wirelessly? Please explain in detail.

Yes you can. Go to the control panel and then printers on the desktop PC. Right click on the one you want to share, then properties, then check the box to quot;Share this Printer.quot; Then on the laptop go to the control panel then Printers. Click add printer. Then it should find it.

It s possible but you need to share the printer that connected to your other computer. Check quot;My Network Placesquot;. Click the icon that has a file name Residential. It will prompt another window and ask for the username and password of that computer.

Anyone with a recommendation for a reasonably priced printer for small business/home use? -

I would like to print brochures, business cards, letters, homework and photos. The last inkjet printer I had printed great, but if you printed something on glossy paper, it never dried. It would smear, even a week later. Would like an all in one, if possible. Especially for copying.

lexmark x2500 printer at walmart...cheap and get the job done..also does copy and scan

What controls what font my Canon printer uses? -

I use Vista and a new Canon MP470 printer. I have vision problems and set my large Screen monitor to large print and icons. A web page or E-Mail looks like it 14 font but when I print off a copy the font is so small I can t read it. How can I set the printer to print in a 14 font?

The printer prints whatever it s told to by the computer. Your printer really doesn t control the fonts. When you are printing stuff from the internet (web pages, email, etc.) the reason for the small print is that it is related to the size of the monitor and it s viewing setup (the higher the screen resolution, the smaller the print will be when printing it out even though it looks good on the monitor). One way you can make the print larger when printing internet stuff amp; emails is by changing the print view size on the screen to a larger size in your web browser (this is separate from your other setting you ve already setup). Go to the menu bar at the top (i.e. Internet Explorer), click on quot;View, quot; then quot;Text Sizequot; then select a size like quot;Largerquot; or quot;Largestquot; (something higher than what you re currently set to.) Another method is to go to your menu bar at the top of your web browser, click on quot;Filequot; then quot;Print Previewquot;. At the top of the window there should be a small window with quot;Shrink To Fitquot; in it. Click the arrow for a drop down list and choose something probably above 90% or more (maybe 100 or 125%) and see how it changes the print size of what is to be printed out. The only other method is to copy amp; paste the text into a text editing software like Word and adjust the text size there. If you re using a text program, then you simply adjust the size of the text to a 12 or 14 point, or larger, font size (adjust depending on the font and size you need) and that should do the trick. Best of Luck.
