Why is my printer printing pictures out of focus? -

When I print everything on the paper I can read but if it has a picture with words it prints it out of focus and I cannot read it. What can I do?

Go to the setup menu on your printers screen and select the option to align cartridges . This may be the cause of your blurry pictures.

You say you are doing far too much printing as to be economical on an inket but have you really done your homework in comparing consumables of inkjets and lasers. There is no doubt that laser printers have come way down in price and you can certainly get an Epson colour laser for under ￡180. However, when you compare the costs of replacement colour toners to inkjet cartridges and then also the inevitable drum replacement which you do not have with an inkjet, you may find that it is false economy. I personally would always recommend Epson as a make whatever the type, and being an office have you also considered that if you print envelopes and labels, an inkjet really is much more flexible.

I have a KonicaMinolta color laser printer. It should cost about the amount that you stated, not very good with currency exchange. I have one that has a network card and although I only use it for home office it seems to print very good looking graphics and letters. I have not had a problem with it and I have printed about 8000 pages. I have had to replace the black toner one time. I am 46% left on the current black toner and over 50% left on the color toners. The drum has about 28% of life left. When I get to the need to replace the color toners I may just purchase a new model of the same. Like ink jets it is often cheaper to buy a new one than to refill.

If you have an inkjet printer, buy INKJET transparencies, if a laser printer, buy LASER transparencies and set the driver to tell it it has trasparencies to adjust ink flows etc If you use transparencies not designed for inkjets in an inkjet printer, the ink usually NEVER dries If you use NON-laser transparencies in a laser, they tend to MELT to the fuser = new fuser = $$$$$

There is no direct way to change the print size by changing any settings on the HP F4140 All-in-one printer itself. I m very picky about printers. I ve found that a printer with multiple, separate cartridges works best. If one cartridge is empty, it doesnt cost an arm and leg to replace Refilling cartridges is a messy and usually vain attempt to save money. Most newer printers now have chips in the cartridge and cannot be refilled. When I shop for a new printer it must have multiple color cartridges and a black cartridge and the cartridges must be inexspensive to replace. I am also somewhat frugal when it comes to printing. If I print a document that will suffice in draft or quick print mode, I use it.

Depends on the cartridge. I always use to get them refilled with my old printer, never bought a new one. But my new one has cartridges that cant be refilled. It use to cost me $8 for a refill vs the $25 or more for a new one.

Buy a new (not remanufactured) cartridge. Refilling cartridges is the best way to kill a printer. I get brand new cartridges for my Epsons for under $3 from http://ccs-digital.com and I get free ones for being a repeat customer.
