How do I get two computers to print off one printer? -

We have two laptops with a router getting both internet but now I need to know how to get them both working off the same printer if anyone one knows please help.

Does your printer have a network cable connector? If so, it can plug directly into your router, and using quot;Network Neighborhoodquot;, you can see the printer (as well as both computers). On both computers, you ll need to open the Printers Control Panel and add the networked printer to both of them. In this setup, you only need the printer and the computer you wish to print from turned on in order to work. If not, connect the printer to one computer and install like normal (as a Local printer: it s directly connected to that PC). You may not have installed the scanner (TWAIN) drivers. These are not the same as the printer drivers, and are probably on a separate item of the installation menu. Try installing again. The TWAIN driver makes it possible for any graphics program to recognise the scanner.

Open the application on the laptop where you want the image to be imported. Then do the scan from the program, instead of the printer.

this happened to someone I know. When you print it brings up the option to edit your options before you press print for sure. Look around I am pretty sure you can change your size in the same area you can chose how many copies you want and how many pages you want. I did it before.

I would recommend a HP all-in-one. Living in a dorm you will have limited space. I have one I purchase for the reason it had wifi capabilities. Look into the Lexmark line of printers. not expensive, doesn t take up a lot of space/area and will still produce good looking printouts for papers/reports, etc.

Definately not one of those all-in-one units with a copier. People will try to photograph their bums! Or maybe that s not a bad idea. Sorry about that digression. HP s are always solid, and ink easy to find. Canon s are right on as well. Stay away for Lexmark.

Brand doesn t matter. Get a cheap color one. Get a multifunction with scan, copy, and print ability. Even better if you have spare cash is to get one that has full-duplex or a color laser. A laser printer is a larger upfront expense but you ll find you need to print so much that you may save on the cartridges (inkjet cartridges are a lot more expensive per page). One other thing to consider is a lot of colleges have free prints (usually up to a certain quota per semester).

Rub the print head gently with a tisse dampened with rubbing alcohol. Many refil kits include a quot;cleaning solutionquot; bottle with their ink. That cleaning solution is just rubbing alcohol. Depending on the depth of the clog, you may have to soak the print head in the solution for a few minutes. Try the above and then run the cartridge through the head cleaning on the printer. A few turns at each item should open it up.

Buy a refill kit at computer store it has all the attachments and you could keep it for future refill.

try selling it on craigslist or similar websites first, if you have a chance. pawn shops will generally give you the lowest value they can manage (especially since most pawn shops still expect you to come buy it back at some point, like a loan with collateral). if you want to sell it without ever buying it back, explain that at the outset, no matter which shop you go to. still, i wouldn t expect ANY pawnshop to give you much for a printer. people don t normally go to pawn shops to BUY tech equipment, and therefore, the pawn shop will have a low expetancy of selling it, and try to give you as little for it as possible, if they even buy it from you at all. i don t really have any other suggestions for you though, since most places that refurbish and resell this type of equipment will only take it as a donation to them.

reinstall the driver. if that doesn t work, make sure your not printing with a composite black. That s when the printer uses all the colors to replicate black instead of using the black cartridge.

This question is ambiguous. On the one hand you talk about printing a book. On the other you talk about publishing it. Those are two completely different processes. In terms of printing it is done on a batch basis (so many copies at a time) so isolating how long a single copy takes is not trivial.

I can speak from experience. Generally approx 2 weeks to print and reach you via mail. They could do it overnight, technically, but they generally schedule for approx 2 weeks. I ve published two books this way and have been very pleased. Of course, you must first create the print-ready copy.

when you uninstalled the software some of its files remains undeleted in the Registry Editor, not unless you know how to delete it it is always there or you can download CCleaner to remove it after uninstalling the software. Then re install the software again selecting English.

The printer does not automatically select English.Re-load your cd. On the left side of your screen you will see select language or language Click on and choose English. Hope this helps, it did for me.

The best thing to do is find a printer that can do UV Coating or Aqueous Coating. This gloss coating is weather proof, smudge proof, etc, and will have your labels lasting for a long time. Why would a printer print out code just by turning the printer on? -

My friend has a Dell desktop computer with Windows XP, a couple of years old, and he was able to print just fine for awhile. Now, every time he turns his printer on, it starts printing 21 pages of small code. If he shuts it off and then turns it back on, it starts over. He switched printers and it still did that. He has uninstalled and then installed the printers each time. He has also checked to see if there are jobs waiting to be printed and nothing shows up. Any ideas?

Some are using smart chips to make their cartridges non refillable and others are using fuses. Most re manufacturers can reverse engineer a smart chip and reset it, however smaller re fillers and home users cannot. This is usually becuase reprogramming a cartridge either requires replacing a small chip or physically programing it using some very expensive equiptment. As for the fuse, this usually cannot be easily overcome. It usually involves completely dismantling a cartridge and replacing the fuse without damaging the cartridge which is a near impossibility due to the size of the parts one is working on.

Inkjet printers are mainly of 2 types - in one type there is print head and toner for which the cartridges are used and refilled after use and in another type the tonar is biult in with the printer head, thus for this cartridges used are not refilled but the whole print head has to be replaced thus for such types of printers non-refillable cartridges are used.
