There are quite a few that are Vista compatible as seen just on the link you provided. As for your question about the quot;Driver 1 what does that mean?quot;, if you look back on the web page of the link you provided and look at the very bottom of the listing for the definition of the quot;1quot; symbol you will see: *1 INBOX Driver is Printer Driver that is included in Windows Vista. This means that the driver for the printer is already built-in to Vista and all you should need to do is connect the printer to your computer and it should load automatically. If you really want to downgrade to XP, you ll need to purchase a full version of Windows XP and install it over your existing Vista OS. You can t. Your monitor has brightness and contrast buttons that control how you see the picture. What you see on screen is created by light levels. The printer prints exactly what the computer tells it to do and it is created by ink (solid). Now having said that, use photo paper and good quality ink on a good quality printer - that will help.

The picture will never look exactly like the monitor, but you can make it look close by using a good printer (with settings on high), good ink, and good paper.

Go to Control Panel - Printers, then select your printer. Right click and go to properties. Go to the Maintenance and there you can go to print alignment. Also try to change your printer setting so that it does not cut off borders.

Try changing from Portrait to Landscape. Otherwise try realigning your printer by the properties tab or change the margins on the document (shipping label) you are trying to print

Is that Cartridge World in Australia? I ve had cartridges from Cartridge World in Australia and I haven t been impressed. I tried 3 or 4 cartridges from them and 2 failed before they were half used. One of the other 2 printed poor quality and the last one was o.k. The local store here has now closed, so don t know if that s a reflecton on their quality or what. Anyway, I just use the makers original carts now, get them a lot cheaper on EBay than anywhere else and always have been good.

There should be a little printer icon in the bottom right corner of your computer (near the clock). If you double click that little icon, it should open a list of all of the jobs in the printer queue (jobs to be printed). Right click them and click on cancel.

I think you ll need to be more specific. What s the server running, I assume the client is linux?

You need to test the printer when it is connected directly to a linux printer. If it works then, but does not work through the network, the network configuration is your problem. As I recall, I used to print from my desktop running Linux to our old HP 4. It was finicky, and sometimes came up with problems, but that was a few years ago. Things have gotten better with each release of Linux, so I suspect if you configure everything correctly it should work just fine.

Best way you need buy border less printers - i think the best its Epson 8 colors (R-series). If you want to save your money, but not a time, you could rotate your paper other side then you feed it in printer, after use Word or something else try rotate your image or text to other side.

you can print many different ways, firs you can go out and buy a linksys print server. or setup it up the way i have in my house. setup all computers wireless and wired to share printers and share files and folders, even if one is xp and one is vista it will still work. install the printer on the computer that is physically connected to the printer usb esata or firewire whatever it used to connect it. then on that same computer go to your control panel and go to printers copy the icon to the network folder. . then go to the the network on your laptop and open the network and click on the computer which has the printer connected to it. copy the printer icon and paste it in your printer folder on your laptop and then click on it and it should install the printer drivers and you should be able to print from youre laptop via the wireless connection through the gateway to your wired comp to your printer. if i missed anything or question please ask

I bought a wireless (wi-fi) printer and it works great! I can print to it no matter where I had my laptop -- I can even print from my PC without having the connection. But if you have the older non-wifi printer, yes, you need to connect your laptop to the printer.

I always use a regular sheet of paper. I just tape it onto the package with some clear packaging tape (usually cover the entire label). Never had a problem.

When you go to print, in the pulldown menu at the lower right it says Print What. Select Notes Pages. It will print a portrait layout with the slide at the top and the notes below. Go to printer found in Control panel. Hit Properties. Then chose the type of paper and size for printing. Do a test print on regular paper and you will see how it is going to print. All the printing functions are in the printer properties.
