Is there a device you can use to make a not wireless printer wireless? -
If you have a spare computer, you can use that as a wireless server. Any old laptop capable of running windows XP will do nicely (must have a USB or Parallel port depending on what printer uses). Otherwise some expensive routers offer print server functions. Then there are the dedicated printer servers, which are small accesspoints with connection for printers. All you do is make sure the printer is installed and working nicely on the computer with XP Pro (havent tried with Vista, most likely possible). Then you connect THAT pc to any wireless router (either via a cable or put a wireless card in pc). If you have another laptop/pc connected to the router (using same subnet and on same network ip range, eg both are 192.168.1.xx) it will be able to use the remote printer. Go to Control Panel -gt; Printer and Faxes -gt; Add Printer. Now select the 2nd option quot;A Network printer, or a printer attached to another computerquot; and click browse printer.
Yes. It is called a wireless print server
