How do I print a return address (upper left corner) on an envelope using MS Word and an HP Printer? -

I m not sure if HP Printers can even print on an envelope - not sure how I would align envelope in printer but I was to print my address directly onto envelope using MS Word and HP printer. How?

At the top of your toolbars click on quot;Tools, quot; move down amp; highlight quot;Letters and Mailingsquot; and then choose quot;Envelopes and Labels...quot; Fill out the windows and follow the instructions. However, I never liked that method myself, so here is another: Select quot;Filequot; then click on quot;Page Setup...quot; Now select the quot;Landscapequot; orientation, set your top and left margins to quot;0quot; click quot;OKquot; a window will popup to say the margins are out of printable area, select the quot;Fixquot; button to set them to the printer s minimum, then click on the quot;Paperquot; tab on top, under quot;Paper Size:quot; choose the quot;Envelope #10quot; for a standard business envelope. Now you can setup the position, font size and style much easier with a WYSIWYG view of the envelope. Just my preferences. Now load your envelope into the manual feed tray (if your printer has one), or the standard feed slot, and set the adjustable paper size guides to the envelope s size (short edge goes in) and centers the envelope. You will need to know, or experiment, as to which side should be up and which end goes in first. Usually there is a pic or imprint on the printer showing which way, but if not there should be a description in the User s Manual, or just experiment like I mentioned earlier (you can use a piece of paper cut to the same size as the envelope to not waste an envelope, be sure to mark it somehow so you know which side and end was where). Best of luck.

You sure can print on HP printers. We ve had three so far in our house and envelope printing works just fine. Go through the Tools-gt;Letters and Mailings-gt;Envelopes and Labels menu item. Be careful to match up the envelope orientation on the printer s feed tray (a picture of a little envelope usually near the near right corner) with that on the dialog box or you ll have a 50-50 chance of misprinting at least your first envelope. Also notice that the envelope goes in side first, not top or bottom first. Use the adjustable slide on the left to hold the envelope to the right. Good luck.

Go to tools then select envelopes amp; lables follow the directions
