Why will my Epson printer not print bright colors like yellow? -

I have an Epson CX3810 and I bought brand new ink cartridges from Epson and installed them according to the directions. But it isnt printing all the colors like in yellow or red, bright colors like that. But it will print in blue and black. Whats the problem? Are the yellow and cyan ink cartridges defective? Or is it the printer itslef?

Sounds like a clogged head. If several cleanings dont solve the problem, remove the cartridges and drop rubbing alcohol into the nozzle where the ink enters the printer. Wait half an hour for the alcohol to dissolve and try again. I have a CX3810 and get ink at http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp

did you remove the tape tab on the cartridge? If you did then maybe the head is blocked Try the head cleaner test
