What would cause a printer to freeze your computer, which you plug it in to the usb port? -

It say s the ports are working on the Compaq and I was able to load the printer software. I already try changing the printer cable.

try plugging in your printer then reboot your computer. check device manager to make sure your computer is recognizing your printer. Rt click My Computergt;propertiesgt;Hardwaregt;Device Manager. If that doesn t work, I would guess that something else is causing your computer to freeze
