My pictures are printing out stretched with any printer and software I use? -

I tried switching printers and using various software including paintshop pro, photoshop, picasa, even MS Word, but I must have some setting wrong because it always prints my image slightly elongated. Any help would be appreciated here. Thanks! 10 points for sure!
