Is it better to have a printer with horizontal or vertical paper feed? -

What is better, considering I require a printer that is able to print thick paper - Such as envelopes and cards. Example of printer with horizontal feed: HP Deskjet D2460. Example of printer with vertical feed: Epson 777.

quot;thickquot; paper is card stock...or 60lb.paper..envelopes are no were near that! most printers print in quot;verticalquot;. envelopes included. because of the roller feed quot;shortquot; paper, like envelops, dont feed well in horizontal mode....they tend to jam and they can only be placed ..face down with flap forward. since most printer print envelopes one way or another..I d get a good printing one!

either way will print your envelopes and cards alright. i think horizontal would be better for printing envelopes... on a vertical one you will probably have to tell your printer to print landscape to have the letters go the right way, but you could figure it out pretty easily for either one. i prefer vertical, however Ive never needed to print envelopes, so for you I would say Horizontal.
