How do cartridge world KNOW that it takes 450 years for a cartridge to decompose? -

i mean its not as if we had printer cartridges 450 yrs ago....so is this just a guess or what?

Haha I have said the same thing. It all comes down to science-chemistry actually. Its all about chemical formulas and HALF LIFES. Pretty much, the chemical structure that makes up a cartridge is put into a scientific equation. From there they can determine the half life or the exist life of the cartridge.

to do with sciene, they can calculate how long it takes for the plastic to decompose by how strong the plastic is, in cartidges case it is a strong hard plastic so it would take 450 years to fully decompose, either that or some amish guy put an ink cartridge in the ground and said i wonder how long it will take for yonder ink cartridge to end

You can accelerate decomposition in controlled settings. Since cartridges are predominantly made of plastics and we do know how long plastics take to decompose it is safe to say that cartridge, being plastic will decompose in the same amount of time as any other plastic goods.

It s an educated guess, but it does not affect your legal rights to sue them if it actually takes 451 years.

they use there time machine to go into future to see if its decompossed . dont you know pc world is selling a new cut price range of flux capassitors . lol

probably the same way they can tell the age of a lump of rock that a Dinasaur died on. It is odd to me!!!
