How can I activate my print spooler so that I can add a printer? -

my computer isn t letting me use the add a printer button in control panel I get a message about my print spooler service not running. Any brief suggestions?

Start, Control panel, Administrative tools, services. Highlight quot;Print Spoolerquot;, and in the left pane, click quot;start the servicequot;.

Go to printers and faxes and click add printer. In X-P this is above Start and in Vista in Control Panel.

In Windows XP, Click on Start button...click on quot;Runquot; Type in Services.msc scroll down the list until you get to Print Spooler Highlight it and right click on it.
