How do I standardize the type of fax machine to be used at the office? -

i already have an idea on this, like on the quantity of documents received per day, the cost benefits of each type (thermal vs. plain paper), and perhaps the need to store permanent records of files. may i have your opinions on what other criteria should i use to standardize the types of fax used in the workplace? (i would prefer suggestions on when should we use plain paper fax)

If I understand your premise correctly, you need to know the criteria needed to make an intelligent fax machine choice for your workplace... If so, I suggest (in order of importance): 1) Initial cost of the unit. 2) The quality of the documents received/sent. 3) The quantity of the documents. 4) The size of the documents vs. the machine s speed. 5) Cost of maintenance (including cartridges for plain paper) 6) Cost of paper (Thermal vs standard) 7) Importance of long-term hardcopy storage (thermal will fade, regardless of the care in storage) 8) Color v. Gray Scale (B/W) Personally, I would never use a thermal fax. Yes, no ink or cartridges, but the paper (at least here) is more expensive and the documents do not hold up as long. I hope I helped!
