What do you know about the Kodak Easyshare 5100 Printer? -

I am needing an new printer and I ve found one of these for a reasonable price and to my understanding the ink is cheap. Does anybody have a clue about this printer?

Hey there! Well, when getting cameras, laptops, printers and such, I find it useful to go on amazon.com for customer reviews on the product. From the link I found: (http://www.amazon.com/Kodak-EASYSHARE-51… not too many people liked this printer. It got 2/5 stars on average out of 18 reviews. Briefly scanning through it, it seems that many people had trouble setting it up properly and complain about the size and noise generated. However, this guy eventually called the support people and got a very helpful step-by-step walk through and successfully installed everything. and is quite satisfied with the colour, photo printing, scanning and copying. Yup it s true that the ink is cheap though some believe that the hassle kinda out weighs the benefit. Oh yeah, quite a few also compared this one to HP printers, complaining that they re both really bad. What brand was your old printer? In case this helps in anyway, I m using the Canon Pixma MP150 all-in-one. It s been well-used by my whole family for the past 3-4 years. It has no problem scanning and photo printing. Just takes a while to make sure all the printer settings are just right. What are you looking out for by the way? 1) price and maintenance? 2) quality? [edit] By the way, searching on amazon these are a couple of popular all-in-ones: Brother: http://www.amazon.com/Brother-MFC-790CW-… Canon: 1) http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Pixma-MP240-… 2) http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Pixma-Office… HP: http://www.amazon.com/HP-Photosmart-C314…
