I have a compaq presario desk top computer and i bought a Lexmark z23 printer how do i hook this up? -

It lights up but my computer says it,s not communicating with the printer. Can someone tell me how to hook this up?

Follow the instructions enclsed with printer Most likely Insert CD, run installer, THEN connect USB lead when prompted

With the compaq, you need to disconnect the USB cable and power on the Lexmark Now re-install the software and let the program tell you when to re-connect the printer. Re-connect when it asks and let the software finish installation. REboot and windows will find the hardware and it will work.
