Where can i sell used ink cartridges for an hp printer to a legitimate company? -

I want to sell some of my old used cartridges for an HP printer. I have a LOT of old ones and several friends of mine and I want to create a fundraiser for a local group with the cartridges if there is a way to get some money back out of the used ones. I need to find a legitimate company to sell them to. I know I ve heard of a lot of charities that collect them, who do the charities sell them to? Is there a company online or something? Any advice or thoughts are appreciated.

A couple of different places buy back empty ink cartridges depending on which manufacture of cartridge you have. Try the link below , it s a company who buys back the empty cartridges. http://www.inkjetcartridge.com/selusyour…

How do I stop the printer when it keeps repeating the same thing? -

The printer is slow and then if I try again it just keeps the message, so when it does start there are several printing repeating and I can t clear it.

just shut the printer off

If shutting it off for a few minutes doesn t help and it worked ok before, you might try uninstalling the printer program, defragging the disk, and then reload your printer program. They and scanner programs do have a habit at times of getting hoised up, especially if your printer has several options. Ron

You didnt say what Printer you have.I have a new Hp printer and have the same problem. I really researched on it. Here s how i fixed it: How to Fix Spoolsv.exe Application Error The Spoolsv.exe executable file is responsible for handling the printing process on a Microsoft Windows system. Although this process is not crucial to run your Windows system, you must not terminate it until you think that it is causing problems on the system. In this article we will learn how to fix the Spoolsv.exe application error. When the error occurs, you may receive an error message similar to the one given below. “Spoolsv.exe - Application Errorquot; “The instruction at quot;0x77fcc2c0quot; referenced memory at quot;0x00000000quot;. “The memory could not be written.quot; The most common cause of the error is an abundance of .SHD and .SPL files in the spool directory. These files are created by the spooler to save the spooled data of a print job. The .SPL file comprises drawing commands and the .SHD file comprises job settings information of the print job. To fix spoolsv.exe application error, you will have to remove these files from the system. To do this, perform the following steps on your Windows XP computer: 1. Open Control Panel, select Performance and Maintenance, select Administrative Tools and then select the Services option. 2. In the Services management console, locate the Spooler services, right-click on it and select Stop. 3. Next, open the C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Printers folder. (Here, we are assuming that your Windows is installed in the default C:\Windows folder) 4. Delete all the .SHD and SPL files from this folder. 5. Next, open the TMP folder and delete all old and unused files from this folder. 6. Finally, restart the Spooler service from the Services management console. Note: If you are unable to delete the files in Normal Mode, then you may have to restart your computer in Safe Mode to delete the files. To start your PC in Safe Mode, press F8 at system restart and then select the Safe Mode option from Windows Advanced Options Menu. If deleting the files does not rectify the problem, you must perform a System Restore and rollback your system to the time prior to when the error started appearing on your computer. To perform System Restore, open Start gt; All Programs gt; Accessories gt; System Tools, and then select the System Restore option. On the Welcome to System Restore Screen, select the Restore my computer to an earlier time option, and select Next. On the Select Restore Point screen, select the date that represents the restore point to which you want to roll back your computer and then select Next. Finally, verify and then click Next again to confirm your restore point and proceed with the system restore. Restart your PC when prompted and press OK to close the system restore completion screen.

I have an hp printer and have had a similar problem. I had to turn it off (and the computer, I believe) and disconnect it from my computer then reconnect the printer and restart the computer. Hope this helps

Start Settings Control panel Click the printer icon Right click printing preferences Click the basics tab Make sure the copy count is set to 1

go to printers and faxes in the startup and select your printer, then cancel all the documents

If it is a hp -do what i did throw it in the bin I cannot believe I could spend $150 and buy myself so much grief amazing buy a canon

Can I wirelessly access my printer from my computer? -

My computer is connected to a router, but they are both far from the printer (20 feet away with no convenient way to lay a cable to the printer). The printer is network ready, or can also be connected to a computer via a USB connection.

You need to connect the printer to the network. I assume that router is a WIRELESS (wi-fi) router? If so, you just need to add a wi-fi printer server (which connects to the printer). Your printer may be network ready, but it probably does NOT have a wi-fi adapter built-in. You need to investigate how to get your printer onto the wi-fi network. As you did not give any make or model, I can t look it up for you. Once it s on the network, the rest is very easy.

Yeah, as long as both the printer and the computer are both connected to the same network, you can access the printer all the way across the house, regardless of the type of connection, wired or wireless.

How do i get my printer to work? -

I got a new windows computer and now i cant connect my old printer. the printer is a Lexmark X2500. It uses a USB chord but when i plug it in the printer wizard that installs it does not come up. how do i fix it?

There is a software (installation CD/Floppy Disk) that comes with it. Try to look for that to install your new printer. If you don t have that. Go online and look for drivers. This site has one: http://www.techspot.com/drivers/driver/file/information/9039/ Click Download --gt; Save Us --gt; once downloaded, double click on the file to extract and installation should start.

New printer means I assume you now have Vista? You just need to download the vista driver for it (if it s vista). http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downlo…

Where can I buy transfer paper to print stuff on and then iron it onto my shirt? -

Also, will the iron ons withstand being washed?

You can get iron ones from any craft store. I would try Office Max, Wall mart, or Target. They all worked pretty well, you just make sure that you read the directions, to get the best wash with it.

Any large Office supply store Staples, Office Max, etc. If you follow instuctions properly it can be washed.

How do I make my print spooler service run? What is a print spooler? -

I keep getting the message print spooler service not running. I have A Toshiba laptop and a HP 2610v printer. I know the printer works but I get the same print spooler message

The printer spooler allows communication relay between your compute and your printer. To start the spooler go to -- My Computer (Right Click) -- Manage (Left Click) -- Services and Application (Left Click) lt; in left panel -- Services (Double Click) lt; in right panel -- Scroll all the way down to quot;Printer Spoolerquot; -- Printer Spooler (Right Click) -- Start (Left Click) and now your spooler service should start running and if you don t have any other issues with your printer you should be able to print.

heres a link for an automatic fix for this: http://www.out-of-warranty.com/print-diagnostic-utility-for-hp-lexmark-canon-dell-xerox-and-everything-else Report Abuse

one the main reason why print spooler has stopped working is that may be u have a lexmark printer or dell printer. If these printer s/w are installed on ur laptop before only then u will get that msg.... All u have to do is that u have to remove those registry keys form registry. Steps below will help u remove the registry keys. But befoe doing any thing plz export ur registry to some location.... START---gt;RUN---gt;regedit----gt;HEY_KEY_LO… MACHINE---gt;SYSTEM---gt;currentcontrolset--… it RPCSS

I guess you can t or should t try either if u are t a qualified hardware technician,of printers but you can know about quot;print spoolerquot; from Google search or Wikipedia. Browse, good luck!

How do I connect my HP Printer to a network? -

I have a HP Photosmart printer. When I installed the software, I said that I would use it by connecting it to my laptop with a USB cord. Now I realize that I also could have said to connect it to a network, but I can t find how to change that. I clicked on quot;Network Settings, quot; but it told me that quot;this product is not configured for networking. No network settings are available.quot; Is there another way I can connect it to my network?

You probably don t need to uninstall/reinstall drivers for this....if you re wiring it into your router just plug it in with ethernet, print off a network configuration page (you can find out how on the HP website), find the IP address, then go to your control panel, right click on the icon for your printer, go to properties, then the ports tab, and add a new port. For the port type it would be standard TCP/IP, then put in the IP address for your printer, and you should be able to print. If you want it wireless you ll have to connect it to the router first, then take the IP address from the printer and put it in the address bar of your browser. This will take you to a page to set up your printer, and it ll have a wireless setup. After you do the wireless setup, unplug the ethernet cable, print off another network config page, and add a port with that IP address. This will work for most models of HP printers.

Uninstall the driver and the HP software and then reinstall it using the original HP disk and configure it for networking. Once HP software has configured it, you can t get around it by other means. So you are left with no alternative but to uninstall the pinter and reinstall it again with network configuration.

thx amanda, quick, short and useful answer

What is the best desk jet printer for our office to buy? -

We have went through 2 HP printers in the past four years. Is this normal?

It depends on how much you print with your printers. Most printers have a status sheet which will tell you how many pages have been printed in total. A professional printer manufacturer (including HP) will tell you what number of pages per month the printer has been designed to print. If you exceed that number then the printer will have a shorter life-span than if you print less. Generally speaking ink jet printers have a shorter life span than laser printers. This is because there are more moving parts in an inkjet printer. In our experience it pays to have a separate mono (black and white) laser printer for high volume print work. In the past we used a colour ink jet printer for colour work that we needed quickly and a colour laser printer for colour work which had to be of a high quality. Recent improvements in the speed of colour laser printers and in particular the speed with which the first sheet is printed (warm up time) will probably allow us to get rid of the (expensive) ink jet printers. When buying any printer the cost of ownership (ie the cost of ink or toner) is much more interesting than the cost of buying the equipment. Once you know how many pages you print per month, the cost of cartridges and the number of pages a cartridge can print it is simple to calculate the running costs. Don t forget to factor in the cost of buying the printer in order to make a realistic comparison. The comparison is clearest if you calculate the total costs over (say) a five year period. Good luck! In our experience OKI and Canon have the cheapest running costs, Epson printers produce the highest quality prints and HP printers are the most reliable. Take your pick!

You are probably not buying an expensive enough printer. If you are printing a lot, I would recommend an Office Jet Pro HP printer. The L7590 all in one has 4 individual ink cartridges along with separate print heads. Printers in the L7500 series have the lowest cost per page of any consumer and small business printers. Black prints are up to 50% cheaper than laser and 40% cheaper for color prints. 7500 series printers have duty cycles of 7500. Most likely, the printer you are using does not have a high enough monthly duty cycle for the load you are using for it.
