What paper to use for printing brochure? -

I am looking to print a nice brochure of my company s product. It will be printed on legal paper and folded over and duplex printing. Any recommendations on the type of paper to use as far as weight, gloss and such goes. Thanks.

Paper amp; Printing for over 20yrs. It depends on what kind of statement you are trying to make with your brochure. Sometimes its not just the words in a piece that makes the difference. For instance, if you are a lanscaping company you might want to look at something that has flecks in it and maybe recycled. If you are in photography you may want to use a high quality matte/dull or silk finish to show off some of your pictures. The weight should be 70# or 80# text. Go to a local paper store (not Kinko s or Office Depot... look in phone book under Printing Papers), they have swatchbooks of most of the papers they sell. Look at the printed samples that are in those books. That will givbe you a good idea of what yours will look like on that particular paper. Good Luck,

Sure, There re different types of glossy thick paper available in market specially designed to print brochures. Here s a link for example. http://www.paperdirect.com/Swish+3+Panel… Hope this helps.

How do I refill my color laserjet 2550 printer? -

I need to refill laserjet (laser jet) 2550 printer and I am in the Philippines. I am having trouble finding the replacement cartages. There is a refilling station here, but no guarantee on the work. YIKES! Is there a way i can refill the cartages myself? Any help will be appreciated.

for safety no, toner can be dangerous if breathed in or get into a cut and that is if you can buy the toner

I am not a fan of refilling. Take your cartridge in to Office Max, and buy a new one. They will give you $3 off if you give them your old cartridge.

Is it possible to refill an HP Photosmart D7560 ink cartridge instead of buying a new one? -

I m thinking about getting an HP D7560 or D5460. I have a black and white laser printer for most things, so I was thinking of using it primarily to print inkjet printable CDs/DVDs and for photos. One thing that would really add icing onto the cake is if it were possible to take the ink cartridges to one of those little ink refill stores and refill them for cheaper. Is that possible with either of those printers?

I have never used the following however if it works well it sounds like it would be an EXCELLENT Solution to constantly buying ink cartridges. URL: http://www.continuousink.com/ If you take a chance and use this, I d like to know how it works for you! I Hope this Helps!!

I was just wondering if you had discovered if it was possible to refill the cartridges for this printer. Report Abuse

None of the drivers for this printer are working on the Vista OS. How can I fix it? -

I just got this printer (HP Laserjet P2015) and the disk does not work with Vista. I also downloaded the Vista Drivers and none of them are working. I also just got the Laptop that I am trying to connected to a couple of weeks ago. Any ideas?

after downloading the drivers you may have to enable them.

You can fix it by getting a Mac. Everything on the Mac just works (including printers) http://www.apple.com/getamac

How can i connect a hp laserjet 4 plus printer to 5 computers? -

So that each computer is always connected to the printer and can print from it without having to switch cables and wires? is there a certain type of cable that can connect them all together?

easy network all the pcs then load drivers for printer on all pcs but load it as a network printer give the address of the printer. on the pc that the printer is connected to, right click the icon and choose sharing give it a shared name - thats it job done

Unless you want to have one computer always on, you will need to buy a print-server - for example, http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Qui… If you are happy to have one computer operate as a sort of print server, you can simply connect the printer to that machine and share it across the network.

You will need to use a device called a PRINT SERVER. Many routers being sold in stores have a print server built in, either wireless or wired. In the wired case, there is a USB or parallel port at the rear of the unit; you simply plug the printer cable into it. If your printer cable ends in a parallel port, you will need an adapter cable. For a wireless connection, you can use a receiver connected to the pinter. then all you have to do is to look for the printer on your network, and assign it as the default printer for your systems. It is fairly straightforward. Good luck.

simplest way is to put the 5 computers in network , and put your printer on the network too, either attached to a computer and shared , or with a network card in the printer or with a little all in one printer server.. so.. first you network all the computers.. about 10 dollars per card.. attach em all to a hub or switch or even router .. a 8 port switch can start at 50 dollars.. and put your printer on the network... (if you chose to go with a printer server) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Shoppingcentre-n… network card for your printer ( so it doesnt need to be connected to a pc that keeps running : (you dont need a printserver with this card) HP JETDIRECT CARD J2552 ive seen em on ebay for 10 dollars You will need 6 Cat5 utp or stp cables too .. plug one side in your switch , and the other side in your devices , (the 5 computers and the printer with the newtork card) Once done , search for the printer on the network with each computer , right click on the found printer and make a permenent mappiing to it. In your printers you can select it as default printer too. You can now print with either computer to your printer ; the 4 others can be turned off.. and you won t need to keep any other hardware running if you chose the cheap J2552 card. Good luck

If all 5 computers are on the same network, you can connect the printer via usb to one of the computers and share the printer through that one computer to the other 4 computers on the network. Check out the following link for specific instructions for windows xp.

Why do I have to restart my computer to get my printer to work? -

As soon as my computer restarts my printer starts working... Other than that it will not print.

It really depends upon the printer, if you have it hooked up to a standard USB or Parallel port then you have a spooler issue, that means that you print spooler is freezing after use. With this it can sometimes be fixed by updating the driver version or getting the most recent updates of your OS. If you have your printer on a high transfer data port the issue get more complicated. In that case you have a BIOS issues, that is the printer is trying to send to the wrong port. it needs to be hard booted every time to refresh that assignment. In this case, I am of little help, I call a tech when it comes time to mess with the BIOS.

Try reinstalling your printer drives. Check the ink cartridges are installed properly. Also check they have ink. Use high quality paper. Check for drivers, software and other on your manufacturer website.

your computer need to reset itself to recognize the printer if u already have the drivers it should be no problem

Can I print to my wireless laser printer from a remote location? -

I have a linksys wireless network and a wireless printer at home. I would like to print something from outside my network (say I m at Starbucks). How can I do this?

You have to get within range of your wireless network. So unless Starbucks is next door... One way to get within range is to remote connect to a computer that is within range of the printer. If your only computer is the laptop and its with you sipping coffee, then you are out of luck. Search on quot;remote connectionquot; in a search engine if you do have desktop computer turned on at home. Then you can jump onto the Internet at Starbucks, remote down to your internet-connected workstation at your house and have that machine do your printing for you at the nearby printer.

How much is it to copy an 8x12 photo in color at Kinkos? At least 5 copies? -

Oh good grief! As if we are Kinko s employees. Call Kinko and ask them. Or go online to find out.
