How can i make my printer print out in colour? -

My printer has never printed in colour but when I ask it to it still prints black and white. How can i make it print colour?

a; see if the printer has a color cartridge. if yes, see if it has any ink in it if yes, print out a test page. if it is a Lexmark, they manufacture faulty machines
