I bought a thrift store printer how do I connect it to my computer? -

When I try to go through the control panel to add it as a default, it asks me for a disk to upload so it can configure it to my computer. I don t have that can I still use this printer? Or will I have to buy a new one? Please help! I also went to the website to see if I can find something.
