How do i get my printer to have online status ? -

I am trouble shooting my printer and the help menu says to set the printer to online status , right now the printer says offline .. i dont know what this means but ... how can i fix this cause nothing is printing right now. i have windows . thanks.

Right click printer in the printers folder and click Use Printer Online.
