Is the Samsung ml-2510 a good printer for home use and occassional work use? -

There is a good special at Staples and I was wondering if I should get it.

This sounds to me like a great little unit. The guys at PC Authority think so too. http://www.pcauthority.com.au/review.asp… Save yourself a pile of cash while you re at it. You can find remanufactured and compatible toner cartridges for less than the SAMSUNG OEM cartridges at PrintCountry.com http://www.printcountry.com/products.asp… Happy Printing!

We have one at work that was purchased in March and haven t had any problems with it. The toner doesn t seem to last very long, but that could be normal for a small printer (I m used to using much larger printers with much larger toner cartridges). The print quality seems fine and it has never jammed.

Where is the guide bar out of alignment in a printer? -

Where is the guide bar out of alignment in a printer? Or what is it? how does it look like? please help.

The guide bars are the bits the printheads slide back and forward on, usually a big shiny one in the middle and smaller ones top and bottom. Its probably one of the smaller ones thats the problem

I din t think there is such a thing on the printer

Top light on printer blinks all the time, and will not print. Any ideas how to fix this? -

Its a Hewlett Packard Desk Jet 612c. The top yellow light is blinking, and I can t get anything to print. The ink cartridges are in the center position. I am not out of ink or paper. Anybody know how to fix this?

HP ink cartridges have built in chips that deactivate the ink cartirdges after a few months, forcing you to buy a new one. There was a lawsuit about this years ago, and HP claimed it was to quot;prevent refilling.quot; The only thing you can do now is buy a new cartridge.

the only other alternates are, it needs a service, it is jammed or it is not compatiple with something? plattens you can clean with lint free cloths and metho, same with rest of feeder wheels, clean out dust with compressed air. Does the top light have a name? It may point you tp prob. Download a manual from HP site?

Control panel gt; Printers gt; Properties gt; Run cleaner - If your inks are full this should clean and move them - Or read the instructions in programs gt; printer gt; manual -

Hi You are not specifying which light is blinking so i will direct to an easy fix solution :) Go to this link and your printer will work . http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docum… If you still have issues, email me.

How do I use Tektronix printer paper? Can I use my HP photosmart printer? -

found a package of 8.5 x 11 phaser 200 series printer paper.with perforated tab...how do use this paper and can i use my hp photosmart printer?

You might be able to if you rip all the perf off and separate the sheets but is it worth all that?

My printer is an Hp Deskjet and sometimes it runs a blank paper through before printing, how do I make it stop -

When I do printing it will sometimes run a blank peice of paper through and print on the next one, and sometimes it doesn t. How do I make it so it will print on the first peice of paper all the time?

you have to arrange the paper feed properly, sometimes paper follows the last print out, and stops around centimeter inward. ones you try to print, the machine automatically removed that paper, the print in the next paper with the correct position and alignment...

Mine does the same thing. I think it s just a glitch in the programming of the printer itself. make sure you have all available updates from HP.com, and until then, just put those blank sheets back in the pile.

Just clean all the sensor of your printer.

What is Office Depots current policy on recycled print cartridges? -

I want to recycle empty hp ink cartridges. I believe Office Depot allows to turn in a number of them daily. I m interested in specifics as to number allowed per day, and what you receive, coupon? discount?...... A reference to a www would be appreciated most. Thanks.

You can take 3 (3.00 each) empty cardridges a day, they give you 9.00 off of your order. I usually just buy a new ink cartridge. I know they take back HP genuine and refurbished, but I m not sure of other brands.

Can I use my old INTERNET usb cable as an PRINTER usb cable? -

I would like to get a new printer, which doesn t come with a usb cable. I have an old usb cable that I used to use to connect to the internet with my dsl modem. Can I use that to connect my laptop to my printer? Like can I use a internet usb cable as a printer usb cable? Thanks in advance!

Yes. USB is USB. It doesn t matter what you used it for before. Just check to see that it is the correct type of USB cable. Most printers require a USB cable that looks like this: http://www.intelligentcomputersolutionsn… If both ends of the USB cable you currently have look like this: http://blogs.s60.com/s60multimedia/usb%2… then you may need to buy one that is compatible with your printer.

that depends. if it s USB 2.0 then yeah. if it s USB 1.1 then it ll be really slow. if it fits into the printer though, then it should work. but I strongly advise getting a new USB cable for it. they aren t very expensive. just get a normal 8 dollar one. gold plating does nothing except jack up the price.

Is the HP LaserJet 4050 Series PCL6 printer compatible with Vista? -

I just bought a new laptop and it runs on Windows Vista. I have this printer and I would rather not buy a new printer. I have tried installing the driver for this printer but it does not print anything. Can anyone tell me if it will work on Vista and if so, what I need to do to make it work? Thanks.

Go to the HP web site to get the Vista driver. Here is the link. Select which printer you have, then proceed on in and select your OS, then download the driver. Run the file on your computer, taking note where the driver is loaded. Then do a manual install of your printer (printers, quot;add a printerquot; and when you get to the driver page, select quot;have diskquot; and point to your C: drive folder where you just loaded the driver to). http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_…

What printer would you suggest for fine art printing. I am a mac user and would like to print on the avage of -

100 prints a month. I need a printer that will be able to print on fine art paper and the inks must be archival but I need the printer and consumables to be cost effective. I was going to use a vendor but it might be more cost effective to purchase a good printer and have control of production.

You need to do a little research. I have that iP4300 the other person mentioned and it does produce decent photos and prints, but is definitely NOT a fine art printer. It will not be able to handle all the different papers you may be looking to use; its inks are also not in the true archival class, although they are good. It also cannot print large prints. Canon does make other printers, many can produce larger prints. Also I d look into a printer that uses a wider range of inks (you can get printers with 8 or more inks, they add special colors to give a truer range beyond basic CMYK). Most decent printers now use separate cartridges for each color, so you are only replacing what you need. Epson also makes many good to high-quality printers. Both Canon and Epson are compatible with the Mac. And both companies do offer printers that use archival inks. You really need to do some research on your own to figure out what will suit you best. Look for reviews, visit the company websites, and if possible go to some shops that sell printers (NOT the big stores like Best Buy.) See if you have a good local photography/camera shop, not one of the chains, that might carry printers. There are such things, and the good ones are staffed by people who know their equipment, what works best for different purposes and can make recommendations to you. Also see if you have any local print/photolabs that you could visit and talk to. They can help. You may also want to invest in calibration devices to help with your color accuracy between computer and printer, once you get your printer. And today I don t think you will find that producing your own prints will be terribly cost effective: If you are going for really high quality, you will need a printer that s probably going to run you over $1000, and your inks will also be where you ultimately spend a tremendous amount of money (it s in the nature of the consumer printer company business). Good luck.

I would get the Canon IP 4300, the printer has won several awards and consumer report award, you will not find a better printer and the best part is it is compatible with the Mac, get the cartridge refill kit for it and save money, hope this helped and good luck.

My computer is printing backwards, whether the mirror image is selected or not. What can I do? -

There are two computers using this printer. The one that is connected with a cable is fine. The one that is connected wireless is having the problem. The geek squad came out because the printer was not all from the wireless connection and when they left it was printing backwards.

Wireless do have a lot of problems. Unplug the printer from the power. Push and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Plug it back in,May be it will reset. Only other thing I can suggest is to put the settings back to default. Hope one of these works for you.

By mistake I asked my hp deskjet to print 2 x7 pages how can I stop it from printing the second lot ? -

I have got it switched off now, but I know that when I switch back on it will print the next 7 pages HELP!

Go to your Pc s control panel, then go to printers from there u should be able to see a link in order to cancel a current print job. An even easier way a the bottom of your screen in the taskbar on the lower right side. You should see a picture of your printer click that and cancel the print job.

Melissa s has given you the right answer all you have to do is cancel the printing as he suggests Report Abuse

Go into Start gt; Control Panel gt; Printers and Faxes, then double click on your printer. Select the job which is in the print queue - you should recognise the name of your document. Then hit the quot;Deletequot; key on your keyboard. Then click quot;yesquot; when asked to confirm. This will stop it printing the next lot.

You need to cancel printing queue. Open Printers and Faxes. Right click on correct printer. Should have a Pause/Cancel option. Click on cancel. Leave printer powered down briefly. When you turn it back, do not have paper in printer just in case. Depending on size of queue, it takes a while to clear. You should also be able to right click on printer in task bar at bottom right of screen, open printer, cancel printing queue. Good luck.

push the cancel button on the printer .. or take out the ink cartridges so you can cancel the print from the icon on the taskbar of the cumputer

1. Acquire sledge hammer 2. Utilize rigorous force to smash to bits 3. Take one moment to breath and be happy 4. Buy new printer Save ink cartridge if possible

How do I add printer to computer, without disk to download hardware? -

Moved and have misplaced disk for a Dell computer, not sure how to add printer to my computer

If you are using WinXP: Left click on Start Left click on Printers and Faxes Left click on Add a Printer The Add Printer Wizard will will start Follow the steps. WinXP will recognize most existing printers. If it does not go to the manufacturers website and download setup drivers for you model. Have fun but be safe.

Look at printer to find Make and Modle (Ex. HP LaserJet 2430) Go to the correct company website and look for a Drivers and Downloads link (you might have to click on a Support link first). Within the Drivers page, search for you model printer. Choose the correct OS. Download the driver. Open Control Panel and Open Printers. Click add a printer. Select Local Printer and choose what kind of connection you have. (Ex. USB, LPT, Network) When it asks you for a driver choose Have Disk and select your driver. There ya go!!!

Go to setting, printers and faxes, add printer. If you have XP, it will already have a driver for your printer.

Which printer do u have ? Which Operating System you using You can download the software And drivers from the vendors site itself

go here http://support.dell.com/support/download… and in the option 2 side of the window selct printer and then the model just below it. You will be directed to a place where you can download the printer drivers and installers you need.

yes look up the make of printer .and then put in make of printer in the web page go to site download that make .

install the driver frm net.

What is the best printer / copy machine I should consider buying? -

I am looking into getting a printer / copy machine. 3 in one. Scanning or faxing included is the less important thing. I am mainly using it for printing and copying. Which brand I should look into? What is the best affordable choice when it comes to ink refill? Is laser more better then inkjet?

If you want COLOR, get Canon. PERIOD. It is cheaper to run then other brands, and has better color. Ink refill... BUY CANON cartridges for the best results in your new Canon printer. If you want a Laser printer, that is totally different and more expensive for the machine. I would only get HP for that. I know of HP Laserjet printers that are 12 years old and still kicking out the paper. Laser printers are cheaper to run, on a PER SHEET basis, but black and white. Color laser is very expensive to run, and may be prone to failure. I do not think that you will be disappointed in the Canon all in one. It will be Copy, Print, FAX, Scan. I would just go to STAPLES and look... then buy. Their return policy is SO GOOD, that there is no risk in taking one home.

First off stay very far away from HP all-in-one printers. About 70% of people have problems with the software installation and just getting the things to work. From my experiences I have had little, well fewer problems with the Lexmark All-in-one printers, mainly cause the software is very easy to install. Ink refills? bad idea. stick with the new cartridge. I like the idea of getting a high quality scanner adn then the printer as separate units. A tonwer printer may cost a bit more but will last much longer and be more reliable. When you are looking remember the more you pay usually means the higher the quality of the hardware inside the printer. Okidata and Konica Minolta make some really good quality printers. I would start there.

brother makes a 3 in 1 that is high end that works all the time and low maintenance.

Go with a Hewlett Packard. Those things take a beating and keep going strong.

Laser is much faster. Don t get combinations.

I recomend Lexmark. It will copy, scan and print. I got mine at Walmart for 79.00 bucks and the ink usually runs about 22.00 for black and 24.00 for color.

I have the HP 2575 3-in-one and it s awesome. I would definately go with an HP machine, since they are known for their reliabilty and long life. Laserjets are expensive to maintain. If you wanted a laserjet 3-in-one that did color, you could expect to pay around $800. As far as ink refills, I don t recommed that. They are 33 times more likely to fail and can cause damage to your printer.

Dell Model A940 has a color/black and white copyer, scanner, faxer, printer, and it is capable of printing different sizes of paper (picture paper, envelopes, ect.) it has a mode for printing pictures and the pictures turn out great. its quick, and works great for us. and its not that much money! if your looking for it in the store, its big and silver. it rarley ever gets jammed and when it does its very easy to get it back working. and, the ink cartriges are not that much money. i hope you like it!

You will get better quality with a flatbed scanner and a good color photo printer. Don t get the combo jobbies. They malfunction and don t produce good looking documents or photos.

How to print on both sides of the paper with WORD? -

Im trying to be less wasteful with paper, how do i refeed paper using word?

If you re printing just a single double-sided page, do this: 1. Press CTRL/P to bring up the printer dialog box. 2. In the Pages combination box, put a 1. 3. Print the page. 4. After it s finished printing, put it back in the printer with the unprinted side set to print next. 5. Repeat steps 1-3 above, but put a 2 in the Pages combination box. If you re printing a stack of pages, though, this is more efficient: 1. Press CTRL/P. 2. Check the Manual Duplex checkbox. This will cause Word to print one side of the sheets, then tell you to put the paper back in so it can print the other side. Hope that helps.

You ll have to print then flip it over and put it back in the printer tray. There are printers that can do both sides but you obviously don t have one.

print one side then print again but before you press print turn the paper over
