Whats the difference between barcode printer and label printer? -

my officemate insists that barcode printer cannot print labels. I ve been checking, but I still don t understand what s the difference between the two.

Barcode printers are printers that print barcode labels or tags. These kinds of printers are commonly used to label cartons before shipment. Label printers are used to prints on self adhesive label material and card tags. These kind of printers are usually used in retail price marking and packaging labels.

Support Common printer (Color Ink-jet Printer or Laser Printer), Label Printer, Digital Printer as well as Industrial Printer. Create 25 kinds of 1D barcode (EAN-13\8, UPC-A\E, CODE-128A\B\C, CODE39, ect.) and some 2D barcode (PDF417, QR Code and more). Users can design labels of profession and high quality quickly and easily. Label mx Pro can be used in various profession fields, such as Product labels, Supermarket,Candy food labels, Medicine labels, Jewelry labels, Book management, The packing printing and various mourn card, Employee s certificate card, Name card, Chest card ect. The software takes a great deal of designed templates, so you can create label by making a change to the templates slightly as you like.

All modern day label / barcode printers can do either. YOu can design your own labels and put barcodes on them or you can just put a barcode on the label. Doesn t matter if it s zebra, datamax, intermec or any other. You just have to have the right design software.

Exactly what each name says. One is for bar codes only and the other is for labels only. Not sure if there are models out there that can do both though.

well, different to explain by words you can read some materials http://toplabel2u.com/ check here for some information
