What type of companies these days are still using green bar printers? -

There are still a lot of companies still using the quot;green bar printersquot;, also known as impact printers. Most often they use these printers for multiple copy printing for 2 - 6 part forms on OCR paper. A lot of them use them for the W-2 s they send out every year. Some still like the large format paper to look at and use. Printronix is one company I m familiar with that is still in that market niche and still making new and updated impact printers all the time. FYI - The quot;Green Bar Printerquot; printer nickname actually refers to the green amp; white barred paper that was originally used on these printers. Most commonly it was single part paper, but there were many others that went from 2 - 6 part forms normally. There were no specific colored papers for the different parts unless designated by the company requesting the forms.
