How do I get the ink level to show so I know how much is left? -

I have a HP deskjett 5400 series and can t get the status window for level of ink to come up.

When the page comes out of the printer blank, then you are out of ink. Those ink levels are notoriously unreliable.

On the printer icon on task bar right click,monitoring preferences,check list and make sure ink level is checked,if your printer is nt the same it will be in your prefernces somewhere.Right click and see what choice you have.
