How to install compatible Ink Tanks for Canon Pixma IP4500? -

I ve done the usual, peel off sticker, remove the plastic casing and installed the Ink Tank on my Printer. The thing is, they are un-chipped but compatible Ink Tanks. Now it refuses to print as it doesn t recognise the particular Ink Tank. Anybody?? There must be a way to turn off the chip-reading bit. Your help would be greatly appreciated. No need for sarcastic remarks to get original Ink Tanks.

No sarcasm here but we never managed it either so have a star for the question. Bought new black one from Canonin the end but i doubt if the printer will ever see another colour cartridge in its life at the price that Canon wants for the chipped ones! Be interesting to see the answeers to this question ...
