What do you need to use a wireless printer? -

I am going to buy a new laptop soon and i m interested in a wireless printer. Does the laptop have to have blutooth to be able to connect with the printer? If not, what do i need? Does the printer have to be connected to another pc or does it have to be connected to the modem. My modem also has a built in wireless router. I will probably be using the laptop wirelessly for the internet. Thanks
