I am looking for a reliable and economical to run printer. Any recommendations? -

I just require relative basic functions, for a small home office? Mostly black amp; white word documents and a occasional colour prints. I hate fiddling with printers, therefore reliability is very important. Any suggestions?

The cheaper ones have less ink - Get a medium priced one with larger ink reservoirs -

Samsung has a color laser for about $100. The toner catridges will last for about 1500 pages, or five inkjet carts worth, after which you can dispose of the unit (well, replace the black cart, just not the three color ones). Wasteful, I know, but still cheaper than running anything but a $300+ dollar business inkjet.

I don t know of any specific model numbers, but definitely look into how much the ink cartridges cost before buying. They will sell you the printer for cheap, then rip you off with the ink.

Canon Pixma (any model). Great print quality, and cheap to run becuase their ink is MUCH cheaper than Epson s.

Epson Stylus C88+ works pretty well.
